It was a therapeutic night on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ as Aria finally confronted her Ezra-demon, Spencer confronted her drug-demon, Emily confronted the various demons populating Rosewood high, and Hanna… well, Hanna just kind of hung out with a bunch of hot dudes. However, the biggest revelation of the night had nothing to do with therapeutic breakthroughs — a shocking new ‘A’ was revealed!
Pretty Little Liars fans were probably thinking that the Aria (Lucy Hale) and Ezra (Ian Harding) confrontation would be the biggest shocker of the night, but a timely new “A” reveal definitely made their little scuffle seem like child’s play.
The Feb. 18 episode of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ revealed that Ezra is not the villainous ‘A,’ which creator Marlene King confirmed in a follow-up interview. And while some fans are hailing this as a brilliant plot twist, I’m choosing to call foul.
Let me begin by saying how much I love Pretty Little Liars. I’ve been riding the Rosewood Roller Coaster since day one, and I don’t plan on getting off until the ride comes to a complete stop. But you know what I don’t love? Spending months being told who the show’s villain is, only to have the rug pulled illogically out from under me — and this isn’t the first time that’s happened.
Is Ezra’s reign of terror finally over? This week’s ‘PLL’ took a major step backwards, undoing the series’ biggest twist yet. Are you disappointed, or relieved?
I never thought this day would actually come, but Aria (Lucy Hale) FINALLY learned the truth about Ezra (Ian Harding) on the Feb. 18 episode of Pretty Little Liars, though it turned out to be a much different version of the truth than you probably expected.
Bombs away! Aria’s in for the shock of her life in this new ‘Pretty Little Liars’ clip.
It’s really happening, you guys! On the Feb. 18 episode of Pretty Little Liars, the girls will finally clue Aria (Lucy Hale) in about Ezra’s (Ian Harding) A-ness… or at least, they’re going to try. In this first-look clip from the game-changing hour, Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) meet to make a plan of attack, only to be interrupted by Ms. Montgomery, herself!
Gangsters, gumshoes and gunshots galore? Best. Drug-induced. Hallucination. Ever.
With the evidence against Ezra (Ian Harding) piling up, and the amount of pills in Spencer’s (Troian Bellisario) tummy at an all-time high, there was only one place left for the residents of Rosewood to go from here: a black-and-white movie! Yes, the Feb. 11 episode of Pretty Little Liars shifted into a full-on tribute to film noir — and a beautiful one at that.
Plus, Aria falls deeper under Ezra’s control! Will he find a way to turn her against the girls?
Determined to prove Ezra’s (Ian Harding) connection to “A,” Spencer (Troian Bellisario) spent the Feb. 4 episode of Pretty Little Liars compiling a collection of damning evidence and planning to tell Aria (Lucy Hale) the truth. Unfortunately, no one was really in the mood to listen to the insane rantings of a pill-popping lunatic who looks like she hasn’t slept in 25 years.
Spencer’s starting to catch on to Ezra’s shenAnigAns — but will anyone believe the insane accusations of a newly minted pill popper?
I’m not going to lie, it’s been a little frustrating watching the girls run around like chickens with their heads cut off, totally unaware that Ezra (Ian Harding) is the mastermind behind all of their suffering; and that’s why I loved the Jan. 28 episode of Pretty Little Liars, as Spencer (Troian Bellisario) started to finally connect the dots!
Plus, if Alison is alive… then who the ^%&$ is in her casket?!
“It’s not just that things have changed, it’s that they’re inside out.” That line, spoken by Aria (Lucy Hale) on the Jan. 7 winter premiere of Pretty Little Liars, may have been about her relationship with Ezra (Ian Harding), but it really applies to everyone and everything in Rosewood at the moment. By the time the hour was up, everything we thought we knew about the town’s residents — every relationship we’ve loved over the past four seasons — was completely turned around.

Who’s afraid of Ezra Fitz (Ian Harding)? Apparently, Alison (Sasha Pieterse), as seen in this new trailer for the upcoming Pretty Little Liars winter premiere. Dudes and dogs. Men and mutts. Any way you spell it out, few things are more universally beloved as pictures of hot guys interacting with adorable pooches. And after Pretty Little Liars star Keegan Allen posted an Instagram earlier of himself with co-star Ian Harding — holding both of Ian’s labradoodles — earlier this week, it got us thinking: ‘Surely, there must be more pictures of cute guys with cute dogs. Lo and behold…

It’s hard to believe Pretty Little Liars‘ fourth season is only halfway over, considering how many times the fandom’s collective mind has been blown. From the first surprise of the season (Dead-tective Wilden, anyone?) to the epic summer finale twist (Ezra, how could you?!) HollywoodLife.com is counting down the 10 moments that truly rocked our Tuesday nights this summer.
Ian tells HollywoodLife.com why he’s ‘super excited’ to see where Ezra — and his relationship with Aria — goes next.
Let’s get one thing straight first: Ian Harding knows just as much about “A” as the rest of us. He may be one of the most important characters on Pretty Little Liars — arguably the most important, following the Aug. 27 summer finale — but even he is totally at the mercy of Marlene King and her team of brilliant story crafters.
