There are two people you can never escape in Rosewood: “A” and your ex! Aria (Lucy Hale) will learn that first-hand on the June 11 season premiere of Pretty Little Liars, as she “struggles” with seeing Ezra (Ian Harding), following their epic breakup. Anybody want to place bets on when they’ll get back together? I don’t think it’ll be too long.

And speaking of boyfriend problems, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) might want to keep a close on Toby (Keegan Allen). According to the official episode description, “A” will be setting him “on a new path,” which is never good.

Meanwhile, Emily (Shay Mitchell) makes plans for “life after high school” — I’m sorry, does that exist for TV characters? — and the girls “have no choice” but to ask Mona (Janel Parrish) for help against “A.”

In the Season 4 premiere of “Pretty Little Liars,” entitled “A is for A-l-i-v-e,” airing Tuesday, June 11th (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT), the Liars are desperate to uncover what new scheme “A” has in store for them in the wake of the lodge fire, and have no choice but to turn to Mona for answers, now that she is also being targeted. Aria struggles with seeing Ezra in the wake of their breakup, and Emily starts to make plans for life after high school. Meanwhile, “A” sets Toby on a new path, what’s in the trunk is revealed, and a shocking discovery reverberates through Rosewood.

It’s going to be a crazy premiere, so don’t miss it June 11 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family! It’s followed by the series premiere of Twisted, which is also worth checking out. It’s kind of like a boy-centric PLL, and it’s just as intense.

Aria (Lucy Hale) may be standing by Ezra (Ian Harding) for now — despite his sudden case of fatherhood and the fact that she totally kissed his brother, Wesley (Gregg Sulkin) — but don’t expect her fidelity to last much longer. And things aren’t too much better for Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), as “Jamie’s shady past comes back to haunt him” and Hanna finds herself “thrown into the middle” of some major family drama.

It sounds like Hanna had a reason to be worried when she noticed Jamie with the dice-covered dollar. He’s a bad, bad man!

Toby’s True Nature Revealed: Is He ‘A’?

As for the other girls, Emily (Shay Mitchell) is apparently “determined” to prove Spencer (Troian Bellisario) wrong — presumably about Toby (Keegan Allen) being on the “A” team — but Emily “might not be ready for what she finds.”

(My translation: Emily finds out Toby is exactly who Spencer thinks he is!)

Because Rosewood clearly has no other crimes in need of solving, Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) spent the entire Feb. 19 episode of Pretty Little Liars terrorizing the girls, trying to make them stay quiet about the photo taken at Cape May. He specifically targeted Hanna (Ashley Benson), but after a rough encounter with Ashley (Laura Leighton), I don’t think Hanna will have to worry about Wilden for much longer…

…because she hit him with her car! That’s right, Hanna’s mom is officially a boss and drove her car straight into him. But when she and Hanna returned to the scene of the crime — you know, because that‘s always a good idea — his body was nowhere to be found!

Spencer Spills The BeAns

After a delightful night on the town with Wren (Julian Morris), which included a kiss that got #TeamWrencer trending worldwide, Spencer (Troian Bellisario) returned home to find a very angry — though very well styled — Melissa (Torrey DeVitto.) Like most bloodhounds, Melissa was able to smell the cologne on Spencer’s jacket, then promptly chewed her out for seeing Wren behind her back. For someone with such a nice new haircut, she seemed awfully uppity.

Maybe that’s because she’s also got something to hide! After interrogating CeCe (Vanessa Ray) about being at Cape May with Ali (Sasha Pieterse) and Wilden, Emily (Shay Mitchell) learned that Melissa was the one who took the picture. She was also desperate to get her hands on a video tape of Ali the night she died, which puts her right back near the top of my suspect list.

Spencer, meanwhile, decided she was sick and tired of keeping the truth about Toby (Keegan Allen) all to herself, so she started to tell Aria (Lucy Hale) — but will she really go through with it?

Paige’s Past

Desperate to find out who rented the Queen of Hearts suit on Halloween, the girls hit up Rosewood’s infamous costume shop, but Shana (Aeriél Miranda) wasn’t in the mood to talk once she realized Paige (Lindsey Shaw) had brought her “girlfriends” along. It turns out Paige and Shana have a bit of history, and even though Paige insists they’re over, is anyone ever really over on this show?

I think not.

Ezra’s Back! (Or, Ezra Is Back.)

Ezra (Ian Harding) also returned to Rosewood this week after spending some time with Maggie and Malcolm, but because no one is allowed to be happy on this show for too long, his mother wasn’t too far behind him. She tried to convince Aria to leave her son, as his whole life is about to change and become about Malcolm, but she stuck by him because she loves him. And because he’s crazy beautiful.

What Aria didn’t do, however, was tell Ezra the truth about her kiss with Wesley (Gregg Sulkin) last week. She came close twice, but always found an awkward way around it at the last minute. After everything she’s been through, does she really think Ezra will never find out?!

Ezra’s (Ian Harding) secret son has always been a point of contention in his relationship with Aria (Lucy Hale) — his dramatic exit on last week’s episode is proof of that — and it sounds like it’s going to make things more complicated moving forward. According to ABC Family, the Feb. 26 episode of Pretty Little Liars will find Aria having to “come to terms with Ezra’s new life with Malcolm.”

3. Hanna’s (Ashley Benson) mom is involved in a hit-and-run accident — and, of course, Hanna suspects “A” has “something to do with it all.”

4. General panic: “Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are now really afraid” that the “A” team has them right where they want them.

It’s a good thing Mona (Janel Parrish) isn’t living at Radley Sanitarium anymore, because they might need the extra room for Spencer (Troian Bellisario)! The normally level-headed liar started to lose her mind on the Jan. 29 episode of Pretty Little Liars — I guess that what happens when you find out you’re literally sleeping with the enemy — and her resulting breakdown may have thrown a serious wrench in the beautiful machine that is “Ezria.”

Aria (Lucy Hale) had planned on telling Ezra (Ian Harding) about his baby on her own time — and by that, I mean she was probably never going to tell him — but “A” isn’t one to wait around forever, so he/she/they gave the situation a little nudge, leading Spencer to spill the beans. Actually, she didn’t so much spill the beans as pour the entire can onto Ezra’s head. While screaming. In public.

The episode ended with Ezra crying — I know, golden tears of beauty — and leaving to meet his son. Aria remained in the street, all alone, and wondering what’s to become of her down-low romance. And honestly, I wish I had some comforting words right about now, because things are looking super bleak.

Side note #1: Can every episode please feature a flashback to Toby (Keegan Allen) in juvie? That doo rag, that scar, that open shirt, that hint of a tough-guy accent… it was all so perfect! Totally ridiculous, yes, but also totally perfect.

Side note #2: I know Byron’s (Chad Lowe) little chat with Aria was supposed to be comforting, but honestly, all I took away was that he used to wrap her in sweaters as a baby and lived in constant fear of lighting her on fire. Real nice, dad.

Emily’s Discovery: Was Alison Pregnant With Wilden’s Baby?

I know, my mind was blown tonight, too! Emily (Shay Mitchell) received a strange notebook in the mail this week, containing cryptic back-and-forth notes between Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and CeCe (Vanessa Ray) about an unidentified “beach hottie” they had met during a trip to Cape May. Emily rendezvous’d with CeCe for more info, and ended up learning that Alison had been two weeks late during that trip — and I’m not talking about her travel schedule.

Emily took the notebook down to the police station, where her mom conveniently works now, and made yet another shocking discovery: a picture of Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson) at Cape May! Also shocking, he was wearing all of his clothes! … But maybe that was only shocking to me.

Shocking… and incredibly disappointing.

Hanna’s ‘Pink Drink’ (Which Is Not Code For Something Gay)

Hanna (Ashley Benson) rarely gets to play solo sleuth, but when she does, it’s epic. After overhearing Paige (Lindsey Shaw) talking to Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) about planting that cow brain in Mona’s locker, Hanna decided to follow Emily’s shady lady to make sure she wasn’t planning any more stupid stunts. But she got way more than she bargained for when she found herself in the middle of a lesbian bar brawl.

She also caught Paige flirting with another girl — I thought it was Shana (Aeriél Miranda) from Pretty Dirty Secrets, but I’ve been wrong before — and even overheard them talking about kissing! (Hanna did a lot of “overhearing” this week, and everything was huge.)

Could Paige really be cheating on Emily?!

2. Jason (Drew Van Acker) spends way too much time at a school where he is no longer a student. Keep that in mind as you look at the picture of him hugging Mona (Janel Parrish) above. #creeper

3. Byron’s (Chad Lowe) involvement with Alison (Sasha Pieterse) is explained via flashback — and it’s way more complicated than you probably assumed.

4. Several shady characters from the girls’ past return to their lives in a dramatic way.

5. A fan-favorite couple enjoys some serious “hot-tub time.”

Bonus: Ezra (Ian Harding) is at his physical peak in this episode. (That doesn’t count as one of the five, as it’s not technically a surprise. Just an important observation.)

When Pretty Little Liars returns Jan. 8, Aria (Lucy Hale) will be up to her “A” in Ezra (Ian Harding) drama, and she turns to an unlikely source for support: Ezra’s little brother Wesley (Gregg Sulkin)! “He and I have a few episodes together,” Lucy told HollywoodLife.com at the kick-off for Duracell’s Power Holiday Smiles event in NYC. “Love me some Gregg Sulkin, he’s great. And he’s there for Aria in a way that Ezra definitely can’t be there for her.”

Well, that doesn’t sound like great news for “Team Ezria.” In fact, neither does this:

“Ezra’s past is coming back to haunt him,” Lucy explained. “He seemingly has a kid, so for the remainder of the season, Aria and Ezra will be dealing with that. Aria’s only 17, and to have to deal with that is a lot. They’re once again on a roller coaster ride, and I think the “Ezria” fans are going to be in for it this season — whether that’s positive or negative, I can’t say.”

One thing she can say, however, is that she loves working with Larisa Oleynik, who plays Ezra’s baby mama Maggie.

“Me and Ian freaked out,” Lucy said when she first found out The Secret World of Alex Mac star was joining the show. ”I grew up watching that show. She’s so sweet, and she looks the exact same!”

As for whether or not Maggie and Ezra’s baby will be able to liquify itself a la Alex Mac, Lucy told us she’ll “make some calls” and find out.

It was a night of brothers, babies and bombshells on the Aug. 7 episode of Pretty Little Liars — and no one in Rosewood was hit harder than Aria (Lucy Hale), who got more than she bargained for during a chat with Ezra’s (Ian Harding) little brother Wesley (Gregg Sulkin). Did I mention how beautiful the guys in that family are? Because they’re beautiful.

OK, now that we’ve passed the jump, allow me to spill the beans: Ezra had a secret baby! Well, his ex-girlfriend Maggie had the baby, actually. It was back in high school — way back, when “Fitz” was still “Fitzgerald” — and Ezra’s mom paid Maggie off. The terms of their agreement is that she is never allowed to contact Ezra, but something tells me we’ll be hearing from Maggie. And soon.

But first, it was party time. Ali’s friend CeCe — who remains mysterious, yet awesome — took Aria and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) to a party at the Kahns’ house, where they found themselves locked in a fierce game of Truth or Dare with Noel (Brant Daugherty) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok). They also discovered that the Kahns were the ones who threw the party Maya (Bianca Lawson) used to frequent, which caused them to raise a giant Noel-sized eyebrow at the whole situation. It turns out Noel was with Jenna the night they found Emily (Shay Mitchell), causing the girls to wonder what other secrets they’re hiding.

Meanwhile, across town, “Haleb” was busy being adorable. After weeks apart from each other, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) tricked Hanna (Ashley Benson) into meeting him — under the guise of “A,” of course — so he could stage an elaborate reunion. And that’s exactly what he did, pulling Hanna in for an epic kiss! So much for my theory about Caleb and Spencer hooking up.

So where was Emily while all of this was going down? Sobbing all over her keyboard, of course. The girls gave her access to “Maya Space,” so she spent the better part of the hour watching Maya’s heart-breaking videos. (I know I’m not the only person who got all misty-eyed when she compared Emily to Cleopatra!) The mood really picked up when Paige (Lindsey Shaw) arrived, which makes me even more suspicious of her. On this show, it’s always the person closest to you who ends up hurting you the most.
