“It’s Time” couldn’t have been a more appropriate title for Weeds‘ series finale, which aired Sept. 16 on Showtime. After eight seasons of selling pot, smuggling weapons, and God knows what else, Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) and her merry band of hemp lovers have earned themselves a long retirement. But before the characters peaced out forever, we were given a long glimpse into their distant futures — and it was quite the trip.

Here’s a quick recap of the biggest events that went down — or rather, will go down — in Nancy’s future:

>> A once-again-widowed Nancy receives an offer from Starbucks to buy her chain of weed cafés, and after a nudge from Andy (Justin Kirk), she agrees go ahead and sell — as if she knows how to do anything else.

>> Oh, did I mention Andy has a baby with another woman? If you were hoping he and Nancy would finally hook up on the finale, you were probably pretty bummed.

>> Shane (Alexander Gould) becomes a cop. And an alcoholic. I’m not sure in which order, but he definitely becomes both.

>> Silas (Hunter Parrish) reunites with and marries his deaf ex-girlfriend, Megan, and they have a baby girl.

>> Doug (Kevin Nealon) develops a massive following of disciples, all clad in purple jumpsuits. And just to make sure the finale includes every character ever, he also reaches out to his estranged son Josh.

Hunter Parrish is on a high — professionally speaking, of course. As Showtime rolls out the final episodes of his long-running series Weeds, Hunter is taking the music world by storm with his six-track EP Guessing Games. The music video for his first single, “Sitting At Home,” hit YouTube this week, sending fans — and their Tumblrs — into a dizzying frenzy of Hunter appreciation. (I’m also guilty as charged.)

The “Sitting At Home” video basically combines three of my favorite concepts — good music, the act of sitting, and of course, Hunter Parrish — in a three-minute treat for both the ears and the eyes.

Close to a year after Hollywood was stunned by the news that almost-19-year-old Demi Lovato was in rehab to deal with “emotional and physical” issues, she shined in a silver spiked Marco Marco shoulder dress,  sober and happy at a joint birthday party for her and current BFF, Sober is Sexy designer, Hanna Beth Merjos.

Held at the exclusive Beacher’s Madhouse club in Hollywood, Demi and Hanna Beth’s party was an alcohol free celebration with a glam rock twist Aug. 18. Guests weren’t admitted unless they had glammed up to get down and an open Red Bull bar was available to keep everyone’s energy going through the night, reports People.

There were two birthday cakes (Demi’s was a skyscraper!), photos of Demi and Hanna Beth covering the walls and a celebrity guest list that included, Derek Hough, Tiffany Thornton, Hunter Parrish and Samuel Larsen — who tweeted his excitement about the party.

“Off to celebrate the birth of @ddlovato in party form #partymonsters,” he wrote.

A source told People.com that Demi was having a blast.

“Demi mingled with everyone and was such a sweetheart,” the source said. “She danced on stage with Hanna Beth, drank Red Bull and danced a lot.”

Demi won’t officially turn 19 until Saturday, Aug. 20, which she’ll be spending in Santa Barbara at Kim Kardashian‘s wedding! Not a bad way to spend your last teenage birthday!

Keep it up Demi! We love seeing you sober and happy!

Nancy Botwin (Mary-Louise Parker) may have spent the past three years in prison, but don’t expect to see the iced-coffee fiend emerge a changed woman when Weeds returns for its seventh season. “She’s emotionally unscathed,” Mary-Louise says of Nancy, who finally gets released on tonight’s premiere. “She’s affected, but not wildly rearranged.”

In fact, aside from Shane (Alexander Gould) growing out a ridiculous pair of mutton chops, it doesn’t look like any of the Botwins have undergone too many changes while the marijuana mama was behind bars. Which is good, because I couldn’t handle a season without Andy (Justin Kirk) cooking up schemes and Silas (Hunter Parrish) brooding in the corner. It just wouldn’t feel like Weeds!

So grab yourself an iced coffee — making sure to clutch it from the top, Nancy-style — and watch a sneak peek at the new season of Weeds below:

Hottie Hunter Parrish has the most famous “mom” in Hollywood!  Not only is he Silas, the older son of Mary-Louise Parker‘s character Nancy Botwin, on Showtime hit Weeds … but he’s Meryl Streep‘s son, too!

In It’s Complicated, Hunter plays Luke Adler, the lovable party boy son of Jane & Jake Adler (played by Meryl and Alec Baldwin) and at the Universal Studios screening of the the film at Chelsea Cinema on Dec. 10, Hunter told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY how he feels about his on-screen moms. “Jane Adler is a fantastic mother,” Hunter gushed of Meryl’s character.  

Which is a huge change from Mary-Louise on Weeds!  ”Nancy Botwin forgets to be a mother quite a bit. I don’t know who I would pick [to be my mom], but if there were an award  the majority would pick Jane Adler as the best mom.

As for playing a totally new character, Hunter tells us “Silas and Luke are completely different. One is sort of a rebel, kind of crazy kid in Weeds with a lot of problems and a dysfunctional family.  The other is a privileged, sweet kid that lives in Santa Barbara.”

Well, Hunter, whether you’re playing a dysfunctional rebel or a sweet privileged child, we hope we keep seeing a lot more of you!
