Claire Danes and her actor husband Hugh Dancy are new parents, as the couples welcomed their son Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy to the world on December 17! Hooray!

Claire, who stars in Homeland, confirmed her pregnancy back in July and has since stayed virtually silent on baby talk — including keeping the sex a secret — but told People magazine that she looks forward to “getting to know our new Dancy” over this holiday season.

Claire, 33 and Hugh, 37, were married in an exclusive private ceremony in France back in 2009. “[I feel] incredible” about being married, she told the magazine.

In September, the actress won her second Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her stellar performance playing CIA-agent Carrie Matheson on the Showtime series. The series, which completed its second season on Sunday, Dec. 16 was forced to work around Claire’s baby bump during most of the season’s filming. The show returns for season three in fall of 2013.

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Claire dressed her bump amazingly during the 2012 Emmy Awards in a yellow Lanvin gown that she called “bump-friendly!”

During her acceptance speech, she gave a special shout out to “my husband, my love, my life, my baby daddy.”

Congratulations to the couple on their first child! They’re going to make terrific parents.

Claire Danes announced in July that she is pregnant with her first child. She and husband Hugh Dancy, 37, are excited to welcome their first child together, but many fans of Showtime’s hit show Homeland are worried her pregnancy will get in the way during season two of the show.

However, fans shouldn’t fret — Claire has insisted that her expectant baby won’t be a factor in filming or in the show’s storyline.

“We’re about midway (through season two), we’re shooting episode six; this hasn’t run into any interference,” she told reporters at aTelevision Critics Association panel, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

She also was initially worried since her role of CIA agent Carrie Mathison requires a lot of physical exertion.

“(I was a) little concerned, (but) it’s proven to be a non-issue. All is well and (her character) Carrie remains fervently non-pregnant.”

During a time when women were not allowed to be sexually liberated, they were often diagnosed with having a medical condition called hysteria. The condition was often treated by massage, and later, through the use of vibrators.

Here are three reasons to go see Hysteria this weekend:

1. Dr. Mortimer Granville (Hugh Dancy) is a doctor who has always wanted to practice medicine. After working at numerous hospitals, only to find many aren’t progressing with modern medicine; he finds himself treating women with cases of hysteria. Throughout the movie, Mortimer often struggles between doing the right thing and doing what is easy.

2. Watching a liberated Charlotte Darlymple (Maggie Gyllenhaal), it’s easy to forget that at one time women weren’t allowed the rights we have in modern society. Charlotte is a young, feisty woman who has chosen to give her life to helping others, much to the dismay of others around her. She often stands alone, and is not afraid to.

“I think it would have been incredibly difficult to survive if you were actually like that back then,” said Maggie in March at a press conference about her character, Charlotte.

3. Hysteria is a romantic comedy that will have you laughing from beginning to end. The characters are interestingly funny — between Mortimer’s good friend Edmund St. John-Smythe (Rupert Everett), and scenes of women being treated for hysteria — you’ll have lots of laughs.

The Olsen twins’ sister Elizabeth stars in new film ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ and has everybody talking about her stellar acting skills!

Elizabeth Olsen‘s performance in Martha Marcy May Marlene was the talk of Sundance this year and now we can see why! Mary-Kate and Ashley‘s sister gives a chilling portrayal of a girl who escapes an abusive cult but then must deal with the psychological consequences. Elizabeth blows us away in this trailer!

The thriller is written and directed by Sean Durkin and also stars John Hawkes as the cult leader, Sarah Paulson as Elizabeth’s on-screen sister and Hugh Dancy as her sister’s husband. The haunting trailer shows a damaged Martha (Elizabeth) trying to repair her life and attempting to distinguish her nightmares from reality.

Elizabeth has spent years studying acting, graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Atlantic Theater Company Acting School, and it shows. Next up is Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding with Chace Crawford and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, which she has already finished filming.

Claire Dane, 31 shows up with husband Hugh Dancy, 35 at the 13th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in LA with the most unflattering hair style ever! With all of her hair pulled back and combed down to perfection, she looks like she has a hair mushroom coming out the top of her head.

What’s worse is the shaggy peeking locks that hang below the huge melon up-top. The Temple Grandin star needs to either tuck her hair in or let it all out.

If you were shocked that Kate and Rob would even attend the same party, you’ll be even more stunned to learn they actually had a conversation!

We told you first that both Robert Pattinson and Kate Gosselin attended Jimmy Fallon‘s post-Emmy bash August 29, but what we DIDN’T tell you is that the two actually interacted!

“Rob DID have a brief discussion with Kate,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively of the party, held at Hollywood hot spot Trousdale. “He was sitting with his guy friends, Jimmy and [agent] Stephanie Ritz, and she came up to chat to him and Jimmy briefly. It was very innocent.”

We’ll say it was innocent! Can you imagine Kate, 35, getting her cougar claws into R-Patz? His GF, Kristen Stewart (who couldn’t be with her man because she was in Argentina for work), would kill!

For that reason alone Rob, 24, was on his best behavior at the party. “He drank beer and played a little pool. He was very low-key – but still one of the last to leave the party,” a second source adds.

NOT on their best behavior, however, were Rob and Kate’s fellow partygoers! Matthew Fox and Susan Sarandon knocked back some Amstels with Claire Danes and her hubby Hugh Dancy before kissing on the lips (she does like younger men, after all), while Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Jon Hamm and Will Arnett shook their booties near the DJ booth.
