It looks like Rob is changing things up a bit in his future roles! In his upcoming film, ‘Hold On To Me’, the hunk will get semi-nude and sell cocaine! Is it the right thing to do or is it a bit risky for his career?

We all know what Robert Pattinson did with the Twilight films, but now that he is branching out to attempt riskier roles, will the interesting selection of roles he is taking really pay off?

Based on a true story, Hold On To Me follows a dangerously seductive woman who, with her boyfriend, kidnaps the town’s richest man and holds him for ransom. They bury him in a box and, as you could imagine, things go horribly wrong. Rob plays a supporting role in the film, the woman’s longtime life love, Jimmy. He isn’t involved in the crime, but is involved in his own interesting situations.

One such situation? Jimmy sells drugs — namely, cocaine! HollywoodLife.com spoke EXCLUSIVELY with someone who is close to Brad Ingelsby‘s script, learning, “He plays an amazingly attractive guy who is a very cool cat, and he is also a top level drug dealer!”

Rob Will Be Showing Some Skin!

For those fans of Rob’s that love him shirtless, you are definely in luck! Most of his scenes in the film involve him being in water, swimming around and trying to steal a passionate kiss from his life long love, Nancy, who is rumored to be played by Carey Mulligan!

The two have three sexy scenes where they swim under the moonlight or intimate quarters — which means we’re going to get to see a lot of hunky, shirtless and sexy Rob! We very much join you in our anticipation and look forward to that moment when the film is eventually released.

Rob’s sexy new film has just been moved into pre-production, and more details about the plot and his character have been released! Read on to find out what to expect from the new flick!

When we last heard about Robert Pattinson‘s upcoming movie Hold On To Me, it was October of 2012 and the hunky actor had just been cast as Carey Mulligan‘s love interest, which guaranteed a handful of shirtless scenes! On Feb. 6, FilmNation, the company behind the film, announced that it’s officially in pre-production, while also revealing a whole slew of exciting new details about the movie!

Back in October, we’d originally reported that the film would center on Carey’s character, a girl who kidnaps her town’s richest man, looking for a ransom. Rob, 26, is set to play Jimmy, her love interest, who isn’t involved in the crime. We’d also learned, exclusively, that the script called for three steamy moonlight swim scenes between the couple — meaning some sexy shirtless moments for Rob!

The newly-released synopsis of the film reveals Hold On To Me to be a sexy thriller based on an incredible true story!

“HOLD ON TO ME is an electrifying thriller based on the extraordinary true story of a femme fatale who kidnaps and ransoms the town’s richest man. Mulligan plays Nancy, a small town girl who callously leaves her boyfriend Jimmy (Pattinson) behind to chase a modelling career in New York City, breaking his heart in the process. To Nancy’s surprise, New York isn’t impressed by her and at 26, she’s back home waiting tables at the local diner. When she gets word that Jimmy has become a wealthy and successful criminal in Chicago, she tracks him down with a view to winning his affections, only to find crushing rejection. Fuelled by jealousy and an unquenchable thirst for fortune, Nancy finds Danny, a naïve pawn she can seduce and manipulate to her own ends and together they embark on a life of crime. Rob’s Upcoming Film Line-Up

Hold On To Me is one of three films on Rob’s current production slate. The actor is currently filming The Rover in Australia, and he’s also set to star in Mission Blacklist, where he plays a soldier and will film in Iraq later in 2013.

The movie centers around a girl, played by Carey Mulligan, who kidnaps the town’s richest man looking for a large ransom. Robert Pattinson will play her love interest Jimmy, who isn’t involved in the crime. This is Rob’s third movie in production!

Hold On To Me pads Rob’s resume which currently includes The Rover, in which he plays a sexy cowboy, and Mission Blacklist, where he plays a soldier and will film in Iraq in 2013.

Rob’s next movie to hit theaters will be The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 on November 16!

On August 16, Robert told MTV’s Josh Horowitz that he’s looking forward to the upcoming promotion for Breaking Dawn and reliving the entire series with the cast:

“It’s an amazing experience. It’s a huge chunk of my life. The end of the movie looks back at the whole series — it’s kind of sweet. I feel so much older now. If i had to do a sequel now, I mean — I’m not 17 anymore. It’s kind of amazing, the intensity of people wanting to see it.”
