Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson‘s outgoing and wild personality has earned her beauty pageant trophies and a hit reality TV show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo — and the 7-year-old showed off her uninhibited dance moves when she and her family were interviewed on Good Morning America!

GMA‘s Amy Robach visited the family in Georgia, and sat down with Alana and her mom, Mama June Shannon for a no-holds-barred interview, during which Alana spewed out some of her famous punch lines — and did a lot more interrupting than answering of questions.

Mama June Reveals: I Want My Kids To Have Their Own Personalities

When Mama June did have a chance to answer Amy’s questions, she opened up about her controversial parenting habits, and admitted that she wants her kids to express themselves.

“I want my kids to have their own personality,” June told GMA in the interview. “I allow them to be whoever they want.”

But it was after the interview when Alana and her family did their version of the Harlem Shake! Alana started out dancing by herself, then her mom, sisters and even Amy joined in at the end!

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her wild family relived the show’s major moments from the first season – from their language lessons to their secret family recipes! Check out our favorite highlights.

1. Learning Honey Boo Boo & Family’s Wild Vocabulary

The family gave us a linguistics lesson on their colorful language by reminding us that “vajiggle jaggle” means the excess skin and flab on people of a voluptuous size, and that Mama June Shannon only gets “beautimus” (dolled up to look pretty) when she feels like it — especially when she wants to look “smexy” for her man Sugar Bear!

2. Mama June Teaches Us To Cook Sketti

Alana teamed up with her mom to cook dinner for the family, this time an old family recipe for sketti — pasta with ketchup and melted butter. They call it a redneck version of spaghetti, but Sugar Bear calls it delicious!

3. Here Comes The Weight Loss Challenge

Mama June and all the girls decide they need to drop a few pounds to get healthy, especially since the family matriarch’s weight has gotten so big, it won’t even register on her bathroom scale. After the first week, Jessica “Chubbs” lost two pounds, but Lauryn “Pumpkin” gained four. Looks like they need to lay off the sketti!

4. The Art Of Passing Gass

Alana and family remind us that bodily functions in their household are louder, smellier and a lot more frequent. Mama June said it’s probably due to what they eat (read: a lot of empty calories), but that it’s “only rude when you get caught” passing gas in public. Try telling that to the poor production crew that is with them day and night!

5. Alana & Her BFF Glitzy The Pig

We got a loving look back on Glitzy, the pet pig the family only kept for a few weeks. Alana describes she fell in love with the little guy in the first place — he loves to dress up, and is a perfect pageant partner! “He’s going to be a little gay,” Alana reveals. It’s a shame he had to go so fast!

6. Alana’s Talking Tummy

When Alana competes in pageants, she’s not the only one who does all the talking — her belly chats up the judges too. Alana and her tummy talked to the cameras, like she does when she’s on stage. But when Mama June and her vajiggle jaggle try to speak up, everyone gets too grossed out to listen!

7. Anatomy Of Mama June

Mama June gave us the rundown of everything that makes her body a wonderland — her “forklift foot,” aka her feet that are black and blue from being run over by a forklift when she was younger, her neck crust (the residue found in the folds of her triple chin) and her biscuit. Biscuit means lady parts to Mama June, so I’m just going to go ahead and move on.

8. Bringing Home Baby Kaitlyn

When Alana’s sister Anna “Chickadee” gave birth to her baby Kaitlyn, the family was so excited to meet her — and she greeted them with three thumbs up! That’s right, baby Kaitlyn was born with an extra appendage, which Mama June just called a special addition. Kaitlyn even joined in Aunt Alana’s footsteps by competing in a pageant at just a few months old!

9. Mama June Reveals Her Couponing Obsession

Mama June reminds everyone why she loves coupining in the first place — “it’s better than sex” — and even admits a dark secret from her past. One time she bought laundry detergent without a coupon, and it nearly killed her! Good thing she can shop for a big family on a budget, and have a never-ending supply of tolet paper.

10. Mama June & Sugar Bear: A Love Story

Mama June and her “shack ‘em up mate” Sugar Bear have been together for more than eight years, and love to make their relationship “smexy” from time to time. Even though Sugar Bear says their relationship was love at first site, Mama June revealed the truth behind their romance — they met through an online chat room, and it was supposed to be a random hookup. “Bed at first sight,” not love. Eight years later, they are still going strong!

It’s no secret Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her family love their Southern specialty dishes — and in the latest episode of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, the family devours their Thanksgiving meal outside!  It’s so dramatic, the clip is set to slow motion and Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. 

TLC had a “flock to unlock” campaign, where if enough fans tweeted about the show, they would “unlock” the special clip — and apparently enough fans did! Alana’s official Facebook page announced the good news on Jan. 10.

“Well y’all did it! Y’all unlocked our ‘flock to unlock’ clip,” the post read along with the teaser clip.

The episode, airing Jan. 13 on TLC, shows the whole gang enjoying their traditional Thanksgiving meal outside. There’s corn, there’s mashed potatoes, there’s Mountain Dew Code Red — a truly epic feast!

Honey Boo Boo’s Holiday Specials

In the previous episode, Honey Boo Boo and her family celebrated Halloween, and Mama June Shannon revealed her new blond makeover. She even donned a Marilyn Monroe costume for Halloween! The girls also make mama face her fears of mayonnaise, which stem from Mama June being forced bu her babysitter to eat mayo sandwiches morning, noon and night.

On Jan. 27, never-before seen clips of the show will air, and their Christmas special will be shown on Feb. 17!

It’s January 6, so what better time to revisit Halloween with the Thompson clan! Here Comes Honey Boo Boo fans want their hysterical footage, and they’ll take it whenever TLC decides to air it. But, were tonight’s Halloween hijinks with Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and crew worth the airtime? Let’s recount the hour.

The Halloween Season In McIntyre, GA

It’s Halloween, so naturally Pumpkin is dangling roadkill on a stick in mama June Shannon‘s face as she sleeps. June explains that the family’s holiday traditions include costumes and decorating the yard, which totally warrant a television special, they’re so unique. The girls each announce that they love Halloween because they love candy. Duh. As Alana says, “Halloween is all about treats…treating myself to candy.” The yard is decorated with pumpkins, which means Pumpkin is nailed into the lawn for a few weeks. So festive!

The family visits a redneck pumpkin patch, where they must choose between riding the cow or riding the hayride. June doesn’t trust the cows. I’m presuming because she doesn’t fit in/on a cow. When picking out pumpkins, one daughter says of a large one, “Roll it just like we have to do with Mama down the stairs.” Then everyone threw a bunch of balls at June’s face because that’s just tradition in McIntyre.

Mama June Gets More Beautimous…As If That Was Possible

June wants to dye her hair blonde for Halloween, but she’s going to let the girls do it because that’s logical. “Seeing June as a blonde would definitely make my loins perk up,” Sugar Bear says. That made my vomit perk up. Then he said, “You better chain me to a bed because I’m coming up.” Shivers. During the ceremonious hair unveiling, Chubbs declared, “Mama’s hair looks a hot mess. Point blank period, a hot mess.” Chubbs and I would get along, I think.

Pumpkin Carving & Mayonnaise Fears

It’s time for pumpkin carving, so Uncle Poodle showed up! Sugar Bear wore the pumpkin innards as a mustache, which started a disgusting pumpkin fight. Even baby Kaitlyn got smacked with some nastiness. They also covered her face with pumpkin seeds, which seemed particularly mean to do to a baby. Uncle Poodle got a pumpkin stuck on his head, which he then slammed against the porch to break open. The holidays, everyone!

TLC needed to stretch this special out to an hour, so we learned that June is terrified of mayonnaise, which the girls want her to face head on. Alana dumped three tubs into a bowl, because why not? June and I have this mayo hatred in common, but hers is owed to her babysitter making her eat mayo sandwiches for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mine is just owed to common sense. One daughter announces that, “Marannaise is not meat,” in case you were wondering. And yes, that is how she pronounced it/TLC subtitled it. June began speaking in tongues when they brought the bowl to the table, so Alana just ate it all. Happy Halloween!

Fart Ghost, Kackleberry Farms, & Costume Shopping

The family sat in the dark to tell ghost stories, including one about the Fart Ghost, which mostly seemed like an excuse for everyone to fart around each other and blame it on something otherworldly. Then they went to Kackleberry Farms to go through the corn maze, the zip line, and some other unnamed Halloween activities. The family got lost in the maze and June went tinkle in the corn. “The old-fashioned drip-and-dry and shake it.” Yum!

The family also went costume shopping. Alana wanted to dress up as bacon, which shocked no one. Chickadee wanted to dress her extra-thumbed baby daughter up as either a crab or a cheese ball. The less said about June and Sugar Bear in those “African” costumes, the better. The girl working in the costume shop looked like she wanted to kill herself.

All Hallow’s Eve

Finally, Halloween arrived. Kaitlyn was dressed up as a hot dog, so Chickadee and Chubbs were dressed as ketchup and mustard. Alana dressed up as a vampire-witch thing, which was a bit of a disappointment. Sugar Bear dressed as a bear because that’s how far his imagination can stretch. June dressed as Marilyn Monroe because of her new blonde hair. There was entirely too much sexual innuendo thrown around between June and Sugar Bear during this for me to stay conscious.

Before leaving to beg rich neighbors for candy, Alana decided last-minute to dress her mom as a “Mummy,” which just meant wasting more toilet paper. June has a rule where she has to “inspect” all the candy, which mostly means she just eats all of the girls’ treats. The family found dental floss in their candy bags and were completely dumbfounded. Just as dumbfounded as I was that this hour was considered interesting enough to air.

Mama June, 33, the family matriarch and pageant mom to Honey Boo Boo, had greying curls pulled back off her face in previous episodes But in a preview clip, she debuts a new blonde hairstyle with straight, shoulder-length locks. She also appears to have had a tan applied, completing the transformation. We almost didn’t recognize her!

This is quite an amazing change for the new-found star, who looks so much younger (and better!) with her golden, silky locks! Since the family is photographed wherever they go, perhaps Mam June was inspired to makeover her appearance. With all the glam going to Honey Boo and her pageants, Mama certainly let herself go.

TLC is pretty mum about the details of the transformation. There may be a story behind it though. When asked for more information about June’s new look, a TLC spokesman would only say that “viewers will have to tune in to the episode to find out.” We can’t wait!

The episode airs Jan. 6 on TLC, so we’ll just have to wait to find out more details about Mama June’s glamorous new ‘do! In the meantime, we’re happy to see Mama’s putting a little more effort into her appearance. It’s such a welcome change for the mom of four! We are totally loving her hair. It’s amazing how big an impact getting rid of grey hair can make!What could be next for Mama and the family? You’ll just have to watch and see!

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her wild family are making their long-awaited return to TLC with all-new Here Comes Honey Boo Boo holiday episodes, and on Jan. 6, Alana and her sisters make their Mama June Shannon face her biggest fear — mayonnaise!

Mama June describes how her fear of the white fatt stuff came about — her babysitter growing up made them eat mayo sandwiches for every single meal. Even the sight of it triggers anxiety for her now!

But even if she doesn’t like the sight of mayo or even thinking about it, Mama June says she will still eat meals with it, as long as she  doesn’t watch it being prepared.

Alana & Her Sisters Make Mama Face Her Mayo Fears

So Alana and her sisters Chickadee and Chubbs make Mama sit down and face her fears. Alana pours three huge jars into a white bowl and bring it out to her, and Mama looks like she’s going to have a panic attack!

Ya’ll gotta get that outta here FOR REAL!” she yells. “Mama was turning white, just like mayonnaise!” Alana jokes.

Also in the episode, Uncle Poodle stuck inside a pumpkin and the family tries to navigate a corn maze — but gets lost! And even though Pumpkin can’t go trick-or-treating, Alana is determined to get her the most candy ever.

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson may be one of Barbara Walters‘ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012, but at home in Georgia she’s just a regular kid — and can’t stop talking about Christmas this time of year! Honey Boo Boo and her Mama June Shannon reflected on Christmases past, including the best and worst gifts they’ve ever gotten.

“The worst Christmas gift I ever got was my Barbie car that I had to take back because it was too small,” Alana said. But even if the Barbia car didn’t work out, another piece of furntier for her room made it all worth it.

“My best Christmas present was my tent that goes over my bed,” she revealed. Mama June confessed that her favorite Christmas present was something that benefitted the whole family.

“The best Christmas gift I got was a year ago when I got my crock pot, ’cause we were able to put meals in there and then just forgot about it, come back like eight hours later and it would be ready,” she said.

Although Mama June can’t recall her worst gift exactly, she knows she has had some lumps of coal as gifts before — and she wasn’t happy about it. She said it was “maybe like a $5 gift card to like Walmart gift card or something.”

“What are you gonna buy nowadays with a $5 gift card? I mean come on now,” she added.

Mama June is convinced she will be on Santa’s nice list this year — especially since Sugar Bear plays Santa in their hometown!

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo returns to TLC on Jan. 6 for their new holiday special episodes: Jan. 6 airs the Halloween special, the Thanksgiving special is on Jan. 13 and the Christmas special is on Feb. 17.

The highly-rated reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo shot Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and her family to fame, but it seems the little girl, who turned 7 in August, is ready to pull the plug on the hit TLC show for good.

During her whirlwind press tour in Los Angeles, Alana could hardly behave — she threw a toy dolls and pillows on the set of Access Hollywood, and even host Billy Bush noticed her misbehavior. “This kid needs discipline in a major way,” he told the Today show.

But it was her appearance on Dr. Drew‘s HLN show that drew a major red flag. She avoided his questions, pretended to fall asleep, and only answered when coaxed by her mom Mama June Shannon.

Honey Boo Boo Hates Being On TV

“Do you like being on TV?” Dr. Drew asked. “No! Fans come up to me and I hate it,” she responded. Even though her mom insisted later on Facebook the little girl was “joking,” she clearly seemed overwhelmed and exhausted.

She had been on five media appearances in Los Angeles in two days, with little time to just be a regular 7-year-old kid. But even when she goes back home, nothing is normal anymore — the family is constantly filming for their TV show, and she is escorted by a bodyguard 24/7.

“June has always had a reputation for exploiting celebrity,” a source in the family’s town told InTouch magazine. “Now it’s worse than ever.”
