Kendra Wilkinson Says She’s Not A Bad Mom After ‘Wife Swap’

After appearing on ‘Celebrity Wife Swap’ alongside mother of eight Kate Gosselin, Kendra wasn’t happy with the critiques she received! She was ‘really hurt’ when viewers and critics called her a bad mom! Read on for more details.

Kendra Wilkinson is no stranger to reality TV, but when she appeared on Celebrity Wife Swap, she wasn’t expecting the critics to fire at her for apparently being a bad mother. Her transition from being the mom to one kid (baby Hank IV, 3) with the help of her hubby Hank Baskett to Kate Gosselin‘s single mother lifestyle with eight children was overwhelming for the former Playmate — as it would be for any mother!

Kendra Wilkinson On ‘Celebrity Wife Swap’

“Ugh! You could call it birth control,” Kendra told OK! magazine about the experience. “But I survived. I don’t need therapy and it was an experience I’ll always carry with me.”

One thing she doesn’t want to carry with her? That would be the fact that Kate basically called her a bad mother. On the premiere, Kate told Kendra that she “doesn’t care” about baby Hank.

“You let everybody else do everything because you don’t care,” Kate said on the episode. “Between [Hank] and Rosa, they do everything, so essentially it enables you to do nothing.”

Kendra was “empowered” by the comments made, she said in the episode. “I need to dedicate more time with little Hank,” she said.

A close friend of Kendra’s also told the mag that something great about the experience is that Hank has adorable manners and even says ”excuse me” when leaving the dinner table!

Kendra’s Friends Stick Up For Her

However, a friend close to her now reveals that the attack “really hurt” Kendra, and she was “hugely insulted” by the criticism.

“She loves [her son] with her whole heart and soul,” the friend told OK!. “Kendra knows she is a great mom because she and little Hank have so much fun together.”

That fun that she has in her house, the source said, was non-existent in Kate’s crazy household, and that saddened Kendra. Claiming the kids were “too serious” and “too stressed,” Kendra let the kids have a picnic in front of the TV with tacos, instead of Kate’s instructed dinner at the table.

“The kids loved it,” the source told the mag. “They felt like they were at a party.”

Kendra Wants Hank Baskett Jr. To Enjoy His Childhood

At the end of the day, Kendra is planning to take some lessons from the episode but remember – Hank’s still a kid.

“‘You gotta be a kid, son!’” Kendra told the mag of her message to her little one. “That’s my rule to him. You have one chance to be a kid and run around, be free, do whatever you want.”

The reality star is so happy with her new life as a mother, that she is ready for another! The former Playboy playmate is hoping to have another boy — read on for more details.

Kendra Wilkinson, 27 and her husband, Hank Baskett, 30 already have a 3-year-old son named Hank IV – but Kendra has been enjoying raising him so much, that she wants another little one!

“Kendra wants a baby as soon as she can become pregnant!” a friend told OK! magazine “Little Hank has been begging for a sibling for a long time.”

The mother also talked about how rewarding it has been to be a parent.

“Just hearing him say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ and talking to other kids and sharing — that’s probably the best part now.” Kendra reveals. “It’s seeing who he is really turning out to be.”

The source close to Kendra talked about why another boy is so ideal. “She thinks it will be easier — she’s done such a great job with little Hank.”

Kendra & Hank’s Road To Family

“Just because we are parents, we never forget who we were when we fell in love,” Kendra told OK! magazine. ”When little Hank is in bed, it’s back to ‘husband and wife’ not ‘Mommy and Daddy.’”

“I’ve embraced balance,” she added. “I’m in the best place I have ever been in.”

The reality star and the football player got married Jan. 2009 at the Playboy Mansion. They later starred on the reality shows, Kendra and Kendra On Top together.

The family is set to appear on an episode of Celebrity Wife Swap on Feb. 26.

Lure Nightclub Hosts The Resident Evil 6 Launch Party

Musical guests Nas and Miles Mosely joined Hollywood’s hottest celebs as they took over Lure Nightclub in Los Angeles on Friday, September 28th at Capcom’s party celebrating the launch of the highly-anticipated video game Resident Evil 6 in conjunction with IGN! It was an awesome night!

Now that Resident Evil 6 is now in stores, everyone has the chance to play the awesome new game at home. But it was a few days earlier in Hollywood that celebs lined up to get their first look at the amazing new game!

IGN & Capcom presented the Resident Evil 6 launch event on Sept 28th. Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett left two-year old baby Hank at home while mom and dad were breaking out their best moves while listening to Nas perform.

At a VIP booth nearby, Nick Cannon (sans Mariah) was telling party goers that the kids are a handful and that the two of them are constantly tired. The Resident Evil 6 event was going to be a date for the musical duo but Mariah couldn’t get out of bed!

Much to the guests surprise, Nas delighted guests with an hour early scheduled performance at the the IGN & Capcom Present the Resident Evil 6 event. Nas was supposed to come on stage at 10:30p but he was chopping at the bits to get on stage and started his performance at 9:30p instead.

'Kendra' Recap: It's Hank's 10 Year High School Reunion & Kendra Is Jealous Of An Ex!

The trip is surrounded by drama when Kendra gets jealous of Hank’s ex-girlfriends and Hank is worried that people will wonder why he isn’t playing football.

On the Nov. 20 episode of Kendra, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett go to Hank’s hometown of Clovis, New Mexico. The trip starts out well with the news that Hank’s dad is cancer free, but quickly gets awkward when Hank’s old friends want to talk about work. Unfortunately, Hank didn’t get picked up by a football team this season and is out of a job.

Kendra, 26, and Hank, 29, are living the small town life in this episode. Hank even goes hunting for birds!

Kendra spends some quality time with Hank’s mother, Judy Baskett. They go through old pictures and Kendra becomes jealous of Hank’s exes. Luckily, Hank explains that Kendra is the only woman for him and Kendra gets over her petty jealousy.

Then there’s great news — Hank gets the opportunity to work out with the Detroit Lions. It isn’t a true tryout, but at least there’s interest in his career again!

Finally it was time to go to the reunion. Hank says he’s “proud” of how pretty Kendra is. Aw! Hank is so sweet to reassure Kendra when she’s clearly feeling insecure. Once they get to the reunion, they mingle with Hank’s old classmates and check out hilarious old pictures of Hank with an afro.

Trouble is brewing when Kendra spots the girl that Hank went to his senior prom with. The interaction goes well and they bond over the fact that their kids are similar in age!

When the couple gets back to LA, they get to enjoy their newly renovated house!

'Kendra' Recap: A Stroll Down Memory Lane Gives Kendra Baby Fever!

Kendra goes on a book tour and Hank stays in shape for potential job opportunities.

On the Nov. 13 episode of Kendra, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett are still working on their careers. Kendra goes on a book tour for her second book, Being Kendra, and she has to revisit places that bring back good memories and places she wishes would stay in the past.

Kendra, 26, and Hank, 29, are again in different areas of the country, but the distance is necessary for their unconventional jobs.

Kendra visited Indianapolis and saw the house that she lived in when baby Hank was born. The next stop was Chicago to go on the Man Cow radio show. She’s had a bad experience on the show before, so she’s nervous about what she’ll be asked, but Kendra holds her own and proves that she “got her sexy back” after giving birth.

In Philadelphia, Kendra remembers how sad she was when Hank was released from his contract with the Eagles and how alone she felt when dealing with that.

In the end, the biggest takeaway from the trip was when Kendra admits that visiting the hospital where Hank was born gave her a bit of baby fever!

'Kendra' Recap: Kendra Has A Big Audition Coming Up & Only Hank Can Help!

Kendra has an audition coming up and she has to prepare any way she can, but will her training be enough?

On the Nov. 6 episode of Kendra, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett are still trying to drum up work while Hank still hasn’t been picked up by a football team. Of course lingerie is involved!

Kendra, 26, and Hank, 29, get into a little lovers quarrel when Kendra poses for a sexy lingerie ad. The episode is off to a bad start!

After her shoot, Kendra gets a call for an audition for a project with actor Jon Lovitz and she spends the rest of the episode preparing. No matter how much training she tries, she still doesn’t feel comfortable until Hank tells her to just be herself. He’s so sweet!

Kendra aces her audition with Jon as they joke around with one another and Kendra follows Hank’s advice to just be herself.

In the end, she gets the job!

Hank’s dad deals with cancer, Hank doesn’t have a job and Hank Jr. needs his first hair cut!

On the Oct. 30 episode of Kendra, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett are going through so much! The football lockout has ended, but Hank never got a call to be picked up by a team. He’s left waiting by the phone while worrying about his sick father!

Kendra, 26, and Hank, 29, show their support for Hank Wilkinson Sr. who is battling lung cancer. Hank shares that his father is his hero. Even though Hank Sr. is struggling with his health, he still spends his spare time helping children who have been abused at the organization he started, the Oasis Children’s Advocacy Center.

Hank and Hank Sr. go to the Playboy mansion to personally thank Hugh Hefner, who helped get Hank Sr. connected with the best doctors in LA when he was first diagnosed. You can tell in this episode that Hank is feeling very emotional about his father’s illness. They are so close and Hank can’t bare to see his father sick. When talking about his dad’s cancer, Hank even tears up — poor guy!

Meanwhile, Kendra is having trouble letting go of baby Hank’s “fro,” not willing to get him his first haircut even though baby Hank is sometimes mistaken for a girl! She takes him to the salon, but just can’t part with his adorable blonde curls! Hank then tries to take baby Hank to his barber, but he can’t do it either! For now, the curls stay.

Kendra and her mom just can’t get along! Is Patti jealous of Hank?

On the Oct. 23 episode of Kendra, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett go to San Diego, California to attend a party hosted by Kendra’s brother, Collin Wilkinson, who has started an event hosting business. Once they get there, Kendra has to see her mom, Patti Wilkinson, and can’t hide from their problems.

Kendra, 26, and Hank, 29, have such a close relationship that Kendra suspects her mother is jealous. Kendra is now best friends with Hank instead of her mother. The two Wilkinson women used to be much closer when Kendra lived at the Playboy Mansion. Luckily, Hank is truly invested in helping to repair Kendra and Patti’s relationship — he really wants to see them get along!

When Kendra’s grandmother says she would like Patti and Kendra to fix their issues before she passes away, Kendra realizes how important it is for them to work things out. After talking, they manage to hug and make up. They even attend one of Collin’s events together!
