Rag & Bone’s Fall 2013 collection was peppered with masculine designs, versatile suits and over-sized jackets, so it was fitting that the make up look was a juxtaposition — girly, minimalistic and soft. See what Gucci Westman had to say about her inspiration for the collection below.

Revlon Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman Speaks On The Rag & Bone Look

“I wanted to create a look that was super girly and contrasted with the masculine feel of the collection. The focus of this look is definitely the eyeliner. I added a bit of a modern twist to a classic 60’s look by using a gel liner across the top of the lid. I kept the rest of the look simple and paired it with natural and luminous skin. I love how the whole look is a bit retro, but still fresh.”

Models like Cara Delevingne walked the catwalk wearing Revlon’s ColorStay Crème Gel Liner in Black.

To get the complete look of the models, start by using Revlon PhotoReady Perfecting Primer and Revlon PhotoReady Color Correcting Primer. After the primer has dried, use Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup for a flawless finish that looks natural. Keep Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder on hand for touch-ups.

Along with the gel liner, use Revlon PhotoReady 3D Volume Mascara to make lashes pop.

Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, demonstrated a great tip for making your products multi-use. She applied a clear gloss as a base to the model’s lips and took a Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow from the palette Not Just Nudes and patted the color lightly onto the lips. I caught up with Gucci backstage to get the details on the look.

“The inspiration is sort of the opposite of glamorous,” explains Gucci. “It’s more like that cool girl. I’m using grays, browns, pearl and yellow in tear ducts.”

The shadow look was a bit shimmery from metallic shadows and Gucci used powder eyeshadows on top of the creme palette colors to set the looks.

Lots of backstage beauty tips and tricks are great for the runway, but don’t translate very well to real life. This tip is perfect for saving time, freeing up space in your makeup bag and saving money on multiple products.

Cameron Diaz is traveling the world for her new flick and looking totally gorgeous. Vote for her most beautiful look!

The always gorgeous Cameron Diaz has been hopping around the globe promoting her new movie, Knight and Day with co-star Tom Cruise. Thankfully for us, she’s been showing off some very different, and very pretty makeup looks along the way. For the July 6th premiere in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, Cameron went for coral lids with a bit of black liner on the inside of her lash line. Her makeup artist, Gucci Westman, finished off this understated look with the flattering, and totally fun Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Pink Pop. It’s a super bright shade that I’ve personally been wearing all summer as well. The next day, in Mexico City, Mexico, Cameron went for much more heavily lined eyes and paired them with a nude pout. I honestly can’t decide which look I like more. They’re both so classic and chic. Which look do you like more on Cameron?

Gucci Westman borrowed from one of fashion’s most persevering style icons for her makeup look backstage at Rag & Bone on Feb. 12 – Kate Moss! “The look is a cool girl. It’s a little bit Kate Moss – it’s the day after she was out and she’s just getting up,” Gucci says. “She has the eyeliner from the night before and just squeaky clean skin and her hair is grungy.” Gucci, the global artistic director for Revlon used Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Blackest Black and smudged it to create the “remnant of makeup” eye look.
