If painter and afro enthusiast Bob Ross was still alive, Oct. 29 would mark his 70th birthday, and Google is honoring him by plastering his beautiful mug all over its homepage! The search engine now features a colorful portrait of Bob, along with his infamous pet squirrel, doing what he does best: painting a masterpiece!

Bob, who hosted the still-syndicated Joy of Painting series from Jan. 1983 to May 1994, lost his battle against lymphoma in July 1995.

But this isn’t the first time the internet has honored Bob Ross this year. Back in July, PBS Digital Studios uploaded “Happy Little Clouds,” a video of Bob’s best moments remixed into one epic YouTube music video. As of now, that video has nearly 3.6 million hits.
