You may have shed a tear or two (like I did) when Brittany (Heather Morris) said her goodbyes to New Directions and McKinley High on the May 9 season finale of Glee, but fret not — the actress, who is reportedly expecting her first baby this fall — is likely to return for season five!

Brittany Returning To ‘Glee’ For Season 5

“All indications are that Morris will be back in some capacity, but probably not until the first part of 2014 at the earliest (Morris’ baby is due in the fall),” Michael Ausiello notes in his most recent edition of “Ask Ausiello” on HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine. However, don’t expect a Brittana reunion — “Word on the street is [Santana's] getting a serious NYC girlfriend in Season 5.”

On the season finale, Brittany accepted an early admission to MIT and left all of her friends, boyfriend Sam (Chord Overstreet) and true love Santana (Naya Rivera) behind. However, we all know the truth — Heather Morris is allegedly expecting a baby! (She needs a maternity leave, ya’ll!)

‘Glee’: Season 5 Will Have A Winter Break

There’s a chance Brittany’s absence from the first half of season five may go unnoticed. Kevin Reilly, Fox Entertainment chairman, said that Glee will get a midseason break before returning in late spring with a “creative twist” in store! Brittany will likely only miss a number of episodes before the series goes on a winter/spring-ish hiatus, giving Heather more time to stay at home with her baby and re-energize!

FOX announced its 2013-2014 TV season schedule on May 13. For Glee, there will be a midseason break and a “creative twist” upon its return!

‘Glee’ Gets Midseason Break

At midseason, Glee will hand over its Thursday 9 p.m. time slot to Greg Kinnear’s House-like legal drama Rake. Glee will resume its fifth season in late spring and run through June as Fox’s schedule transitions to feature more year-round original scripted fare.

Kevin Reilly, Fox Entertainment chairman, said that Glee‘s midseason break will hopefully allow the musical dramedy to return in the fall with an uninterrupted run. “It’s too much bookkeeping for the young audience,” Kevin said of the scheduling. “More than anything in this day and age, having preemptions and having to go off the air for a batch of repeats is one of the top challenges we have.”

When the show comes back in the spring, Kevin says, there will be a “creative twist” involving the return.

Season 5 Only Taking Place In NYC?

When initial negotiations for season five took place, Kevin said that he hoped to move the series to New York City full-time.

“We’re going to negotiate now for the fifth season and beyond, so we’re talking about [the future of the series] now. I have to talk to [creator] Ryan [Murphy] and see where he’s at right now; I don’t know, I wonder could it and should it naturally move [to NYC]? But we have to talk about it. [Season 4] was ultimately what became of the spinoff talk: Let’s do it within the franchise. I do think if we can continue to follow a broad array of characters, it’s like life, you have relationships, you have friends, they go off, their lives go on and you get together and maybe you maintain a friendship, maybe you lose distance. I think we can do that within this world of people you followed,” Kevin said at the Television Critics Association press tour on Jan. 8.

Could a full-time move to NYC be the big “twist”? If New Directions just performed in Regionals, it’s possible they’d hit Nationals and graduation by the time of their midseason finale. Then, when the show returns in the spring, a few of the seniors could flock to NYC.

A ring was purchased, plans were made and a wedding did happen on the season finale of Glee. However, it was who got married that left us speechless!

Ryder Comes Face To Face With Catfish

Ryder (Blake Jenner) threatens New Directions — he won’t compete in Regionals until he finds out who’s catfish-ing him. He asks everyone to take out their phones, gets a bit violent and finally, Marley (Melissa Benoist) admits she’s catfish.

Marley begs to talk to Ryder, but he’s extremely upset. Before she can get many words out, Unique (Alex Newell) asks her to stop and confesses to being the real catfish. Ryder says he’ll never speak to Unique again.

Before going on stage at Regionals, Ryder admits that he’ll be quitting the glee club after the competition.

Rachel Berry Has Her Final Callback (And Her Only Scene In The Finale)

Rachel (Lea Michele) sang “To Love You More” by Celine Dion at her final callback for Funny Girl. Tears were shed (by Rachel — are you that surprised?), but her performance ended with a simple “we’ll let you know.”

New Directions Wins Regionals — Brittany Says Goodbye

Due to bad weather, Regionals are held at McKinley High.

Joe and Sugar (Vanessa Lengies) return from obscurity, and Brittany (Heather Morris) comes back from MIT with a huge ego. She immediately demands to sing all the solos at regionals, but no one seems to be in favor of the idea. Brittany says she’s just taking Mr. Schuester’s (Matthew Morrison) advice — “it’s all or nothing.”

After getting dumped by Brittany, Sam (Chord Overstreet) reaches out to Santana (Naya Rivera) for help. Brittany makes a shocking confession to Santana and then goes to meet Sam at Regionals.

Brittany tells the group that she accepted an early admission to MIT (Well, that’s one way to hide a pregnancy). She gives a heartfelt speech, cries a bit and tells the group that the glee club made her feel “smart” and she’s “really going to miss” them all. Bram gets a goodbye hug and an “I love you.” That’s it ya’ll — Brittana is dead.

After a set list including, “Hall Of Fame” by The Script featuring will.i.am, “I Love It” by Icona Pop featuring Charli XCX and Marley’s original “All Or Nothing,” New Directions wins Regionals!

Following the exciting win, Will and Emma (Jayma Mays) get married in the choir room, in front of all of their closest friends!

Blaine Plans To Propose To Kurt

Blaine (Darren Criss) wants help from his best friend, Sam, in proposing to Kurt (Chris Colfer). Unfortunately, Sam isn’t a fan of the idea of Blaine asking Kurt to marry him.

Because Sam’s not a fan of the idea, Blaine takes his BFF Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) to the jewelry store instead, where they look for an engagement ring. Blaine meets a nice elderly woman, Jan (Patty Duke), who tells him about her longterm relationship with her partner.

Shockingly, Sam interrupts the happy exchange of words and vows to put his beliefs aside and help his best buddy, who he claims “wants to do me.” (Nice.)

Blaine and Kurt go to Breadstix with Jan and her partner Liz (Meredith Baxter) to talk about love, relationships and marriage. In the middle of their outing, Jan asks Liz to marry her — so sweet.

Sadly, in the end, Blaine does not propose. But the episode ends with a shot of Blaine holding the ring box.

Blaine (Darren Criss) may be proposing to Kurt (Chris Colfer) on the season finale of Glee on May 9, but will they actually walk down the aisle? According to HollywoodLife.com’s sister site TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, “somebody’s getting married!” So will that somebody be Kurt?

‘Glee’ Season Finale Spoilers

When a fan asked if someone would be leaving the series at the end of this season, Michael Ausiello of HollywoodLife.com sister site TVLine said, “Thursday’s finale definitely leaves you with the impression that a pivotal, longtime character will not be back next season — at least not full-time. That said, I have received no confirmation that the actor/actress in question is, in fact, departing the show.”

However, it was the second half of his response that certainly got us excited!

Michael added, “Speaking of the finale, rumor has it somebody’s getting *a****d!” Fill in a few asterisks and you have “married!”

Who’s Getting Married?

In the preview for “All Or Nothing,” Blaine is heard telling Sam (Chord Overstreet), “I was kind of hoping that you’d be my best man.”

While that may seem like a clear clue that it’ll be Klaine getting hitched, don’t forget that Will (Matthew Morrison) announced in last week’s episode that he and Emma (Jayma Mays) are engaged again. He also said that they would get married after Regionals.

Of course, there’s also the slight chance that Ryder (Blake Jenner) will be happy with the true identity of his Catfish-er and elope!

With Regionals just a week away, Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) invited back some of our favorites to help out the New Directions on Glee on May 2. However, while Kurt dealt with a family health scare in Lima, Rachel (Lea Michele) had to face the challenges of her Broadway callback in New York … and the one person standing in her way.

‘Glee’ Original Cast Returns To McKinley

Mercedes (Amber Riley) returned to Ohio to be faced with tough decisions, and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) came to help the glee club. They also supported Kurt (Chris Colfer), who returned home to be with his dad (Mike O’Malley) for a doctor’s appointment that would determine whether or not he still had cancer.

Lucky for him, Blaine (Darren Criss) and company were right by his side throughout his newly developed obsessive compulsive disorder, and there to celebrate when Burt’s tests came back cancer-free!

We also got a peek into Artie’s (Kevin McHale) home life, after he finds out he got accepted to Brooklyn’s film school. After their adorable bonding session, we’re hoping to see more of his sweet mother – Katey Segal!

Blaine Wants To Marry Kurt

While we all know Blaine still loves Kurt, we weren’t sure if he would propose. However, with gay marriage making headlines, Blaine feels that now that he can marry Kurt, that means he should.

After asking Kurt’s dad Burt (Mike O’Malley) for permission, he lets him know that if he and Kurt are really in love and meant to be together, there should be no hurry to get married. (Really though, Kurt, didn’t you see what happened to Finchel?)

However, after seeing the trailer for next week — it looks like a wedding may go down. Eek!

Rachel Faces Cassandra July (Again)

In New York City, Rachel has to come face-to-face with her biggest enemy.

To take on Broadway while in NYADA, Rachel needs the signature of a teacher. So of course, her dance teacher Cassandra July (Kate Hudson) and her perfect abs calls her a troll, and tells Rachel that she’ll move her mid-term so that she’ll miss the callback.

However, she shocked us all when Rachel showed up for the exam, and Miss July had planned a surprise congratulatory party.

We were waiting to wake up from the dream, too! But it was real, and at the end, she even told Rachel that she had confidence in her to win and they shared an adorable hug!

Season four of Glee has been a “journey and emotional roller coaster,” according to Chord Overstreet, who portrays Sam on the FOX hit series. So it only seems appropriate that it wraps in the same manner. Keeping reading for spoilers from the final two episodes!

‘Glee’ Spoilers — 5 Major Secrets From The Final Two Episodes

1. Glee will do something completely different in regards to the series’ timeline. ”The school year is half this year and the other half next year,” Chord tells The Hollywood Reporter. One Tree Hill did the same thing and split two high school years into four seasons. ”The final two episodes are more toward gearing up for Regionals,” Chord adds. In other words, there won’t be any graduation this year — that’ll likely come at the end of season five.

2. Kevin McHale’s Artie learns some big news about his future during the May 2 episode, which also features the arrival of Katey Sagal as his mom, Nancy Abrams. “Artie receives some sort of college news and he’s a little troubled by the idea of going out into the real world,” Chord says. “The reality is that New Directions is always supportive of anybody’s decision with what they want to do. Artie has a lot of hesitance toward going into the real world and having to deal with the reality of going to school, being alone and growing up on his own; it’s pretty big for someone who hasn’t had that challenge yet.”

3. We will finally find out who’s been “Catfishing” Ryder (Blake Jenner). The reveal, Chord promises, will be super dramatic!

4. ”Brittany’s story line will conclude and you’ll figure out where she’s going,” Chord says of his on-screen love interest. “She comes in and out of MIT and goes back and forth and you’ll see where she’s headed and what’s going to happen with her. It’ll be an emotional episode but it will be fun.” Considering Heather Morris is reportedly pregnant, we have a strange sad feeling that she’s leaving the series. He did say that her story “will conclude.”

5. As far as Blaine’s (Darren Criss) proposal to Kurt (Chris Colfer) is concerned, Chord says: ”Sam is one of those guys who’s a sweet guy and is always there for people — he’s encouraging and he’s wise beyond his years. He’s always supportive but he does try to be the voice of reason. [However,] if it were me and it was my friend about to propose in high school, I’d tell him to wait and see.” (Let’s hope that Blaine doesn’t seek Sam’s advice.)
