Selena Gomez looked gorgeous on the red carpet of Glamour Magazine’s Women Of The Year event on November 12. While her recent split from Justin Bieber may have weighed on her mind, she didn’t let it show, choosing to stay positive in an interview with the Associated Press.

Selena told the AP all about how her joy comes from being able to make her fans smile and educate them about what’s happening in the world. “I mean, honestly, it’s the feeling, if I can be selfish for a little bit, because it just makes me feel so good to be able to make kids smile and to make families — bring them together — it really is special,” she said. “And then there’s the whole act of actually being able to use what I have to educate kids my age and other people on what’s going on around the world ‘cuz people tend to forget sometimes.”

Glamour Magazine held their Women Of The Year event on November 12, and Justin Bieber was the last thing on Selena Gomez‘s mind! She looked gorgeous!

At the awards show held at Carnegie Hall, Selena looked sexy and sophisticated in a white Giambattista Valli dress, Rupert Sanderson heels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Graziela jewelry.

Sel bared her cleavage with a deep neckline on a lace top, paired with a peplum skirt.

Selena is on the December cover of Glamour and was presented an award by her Getaway co-star Ethan Hawke.

In her acceptance speech, Selena was very emotional. She said:

“Thank you so much. I am so honored to be in a room full of women that I can only aspire to be as good as they are one day. I feel so lucky that every day I get to work with interesting people that are way smarter than me, and have taught me so much, like Ethan. I just want to share to all the girls out there that you have a voice, you have a chance to do what you love, whether that is acting or singing. And just being true to who you are. The person that’s taught me that better than anyone is my mom. She is so strong and beautiful and has taught me everything, so thank you. Thank you Glamour, and Ethan and Cindi [Leive], this is really something I’ll never forget.”

Tory Burch was honored at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in NYC on Nov. 7, where Jessica Alba presented the ‘Fashion Force’ award to the esteemed designer. Before Tory took the stage, we had the chance to chat with the designer, who told us she would love to dress Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge!

“I do like her style and I look who she is, more importantly,” Tory told us last night. She also said she would jump at the chance to dress the designer! “Of course I would, I love her style.”

From her gothic look to forgetting her shoes, her get-ups sure stood out!

I’m a huge Cher fan and I was so excited to see her at Glamour‘s Women of the Year Awards last night in NYC on Nov. 8 — but I was severely disappointed with her black dress and leather jacket combo! Don’t get me wrong, I love her music and movies but her outfit choices hardly ever rank on my best dressed list — although I always cut her slack because, well she’s Cher. Sadly, there are no words for the leopard skirt and fishnet tights she wore today in NYC.

To make matters worse, the singer was sans shoes on the sidewalk and it looks like she’s wearing the same exact tights from last night! Cher, what’s going on?
