Giulianna and Bill Rancic are officially proud parents of a baby boy!

Bill tweeted, “The ‘Duke’ has landed! Edward Duke Rancic was welcomed into the world [on Aug. 29] at 7lbs 4oz. G & I feel blessed beyond words…We did it!”

This has been a long journey for the two and we’re sure they’re exciting to be parents! Congrats to the new family!

Michelle Williams is a red-carpet staple, but at this year’s SAG awards she revealed that she’s not ready to expose her daughter Matilda to that lifestyle yet. Clad in a lacy Valentino frock and Fred Leighton for Forevermark jewels, the My Week With Marilyn star told Giuliana Rancic that she wants to keep Matilda from seeing her at the awards!

The actress also says she wants to spend more time with her daughter. “Oh, I just want to go back to being a mom for a while,” she explained.

Giuliana Rancic, 37, revealed the news on Ryan Seacrest‘s KIIS FM 102.7 radio show today, Dec. 6. “I’ll be on E! News Monday and then I’ll be out of your hair for two weeks,” Giuliana told Ryan.

Giuliana first announced that she will undergo a double mastectomy after her initial treatment wasn’t aggressive enough on The Today Show on Monday, Dec. 5.

The date of her surgery has not yet been announced, but we imagine it’s quickly approaching! We’re so inspired by Giuliana’s bravery. Don’t you agree, HollywoodLifers?

Thank God. Bill appeared on the ‘Today Show’ this morning to report that his wife was a “trooper,” after double lumpectomy surgery.

We’re so glad to get this news. Bill told Ann Curry in a live from LA interview that Giuliana underwent a two hour surgery and “she pulled through it and was kind of relieved to get it over with and get the cancer out,”he said. “She’s doing well at home recovering and I’m adding nurse to my resume now — she’s having a lot of fun with that.”

Apparently the surgery happened yesterday and Bill said it was a long day. He explained that Guiliana had to have an MRI and a mammogram so the surgeon could see where the “guide wire” would be put in each breast to remove the cancer.

Poor Giuliana, 36, has had an extraordinarily difficult and emotionally- exhausting year between her attempts to get pregnant, her decision to try IVF treatments and then after starting those treatments, discovering that she had breast cancer.

She only went public with her breast cancer diagnosis on Monday, Oct. 17th the Today show and the surgery took place two days later.

“Giuliana’s had a tough year and a half,” he agreed. “For me, I just wish I could carry some of the load. I just wish I could take the pain away … watching her be wheeled into the operating room was heartbreaking for me.”

We’re so glad that Giuliana has such a loving and supportive husband. Bill said “I’m trying to do everything I can to support her … trying to make her laugh as often as possible.”

The couple still has to wait until tomorrow to get more news from their doctor. “We’re going back tomorrow,” he told Ann. “to make sure the lymph nodes, they had to remove a couple of lymph nodes and we’re hoping we get a good report tomorrow, God willing.”

We hope so too, Giuliana and Bill.

The next step after that, will be radiation treatments, says Bill. “Then we’ll kick off 2012 with  new outlook on life — we’re ready to take on the world.”

Amazingly, Bill says Giuliana is planning to go back to work next week, “God willing.”

“It’s funny when you go through a situation like this, it turns down the volume on things that are not that important.”

He says that he and Giuliana are so gratified that they’ve received so many tweets from women who’ve said they scheduled their first mammogram, because of their experience: “That was the goal of this!”

We’re so glad that Giuliana and Bill are able to see a silver lining in their situation.

Kelly, we think you scored big time! John is completely gorgeous, sexy and HOT!

Ever since The Real Housewives of New York City‘s Kelly Bensimon showed up with now-confirmed hot date John Termini to the TRIA Beauty Blue Lounge Launch Event hosted by Giulianna Rancic in New York City on April 6, we’ve been calling him her “new man.” Well, we caught up with Kelly again April 13 at the launch party for fellow Housewife Jill Zarin‘s book Secrets of a Jewish Mother at Zarin Fabrics in NYC, and she confirmed: “John is a really good friend of mine!”

“He’s hot and smart. He’s a really really good guy,” Kelly gushed. “He’s really educated and so much fun. He’s a really nice person and genuine!”

Well, we think John sounds like the perfect guy to help Kelly get over her rough divorce from famed fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. She told us she has always dated men in the corporate world, including bankers and lawyers — and now she’s adding a corporate real estate extraordinaire to the mix!

Physically, John is exactly how Kelly likes her men. “I like guys that kind of look like me, about the same height,” she explained to us. “I like them very sporty and smart.” Well, that sounds like John in a nutshell!

Now that Kelly is finally re-entering the dating world, we think John is just the right man to show her the ropes. “I had a really really hard time last year, so now I’m coming out of it,” she admitted. “I got divorced because I want chapter two. … Whatever happens, happens.”

Kelly, you specifically asked us to tell you what we think of the men you are dating (“I’ve put myself into your hands [the media] and you guys have to start telling me who you like and who you don’t like, and why you don’t like them.”) and we like John — so go for it, girlfriend!

Even if you don’t want anything serious right off the bat, it sure is nice to have such good looking arm candy to hang onto!
