Girls star Zosia Mamet appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Feb. 2, where the 25-year-old shed her character’s conservative image in a red velvet keyhole dress, giving the audience quite an eyeful! The strategic keyhole cutout put her cleavage, (and sideboob), on full display while she chatted with the talk show host.

Sideboob was a hot red carpet trend in 2012 — and it looks like the chest cutout may be taking it’s place! Zosia paired her red hot cap-sleeve dress with simple studs, black booties and a ponytail. Wearing her hair back definitely didn’t distract from her very revealing ensemble — a smart choice since she apparently wanted to flaunt her assets! Statement rings completed the outfit. Feb. 2 just so happened to be Zosia’s birthday — and what better way to standout than in a revealing dress?

While I commend the Girls star for taking a risk and stepping out of her comfort zone, I didn’t really love the way she styled the whole ensemble. I thought her tight ponytail looked a bit messy — and with a dress that sexy you need to commit to full-on glamour! I would have liked it better if the star added a little edge to her ponytail or swept her hair to one side in retro waves. I also thought the black booties were way too clunky — a simple pair of pumps or sexy sandals would have looked way better.

Hipsters rejoice! The second season of Girls premieres Jan. 13, and HBO has finally given us our first look at Hannah (Lena Dunham) and friends’ upcoming shenanigans. Along with Adam (Adam Driver) trying desperately to win Hannah back — even through song, at one point — the new trailer gives us plenty of reasons to tune in next year. 10 reasons, in fact.

1. Hannah and Elijah’s (Andrew Rannells) adorable and perfect friendship.

2. Hannah having so much sex with so many people. Get it, girl!

3. Words of wisdom from Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet): “I may be deflowered, but I am not devalued.”

4. Rita Wilson as Marnie’s (Allison Williams) mom.

5. Charlie’s (Christopher Abbott) incredible hair.

6. Jessa (Jemima Kirke) being “so good.”

7. Adam potentially being “murdery in a murder way.”

8. Booth (Jorma Taccone) literally charming Marnie’s pants off.

9. Hannah’s cheetah pants.

10. Hannah’s yellow mesh tank top.

We may live for drama here at HollywoodLife.com, but we also enjoy the occasional giggle fit, so we’re psyched to see our favorite comedies going head-to-head Sept. 23 at the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. From the old standbys like 30 Rock and Modern Family to the newcomers like Veep and Girls, we can’t wait to see which series comes out on top!

It may not stand the best chance, as Modern Family pretty much owns the Emmys, but it was hands-down our biggest comedy obsession of the past year.

Girls has been getting a ton of hype, and the first episode of this new HBO series has the perfect blend of honesty, awkward moments and straight-up laughter!

The series was created by and stars Lena Dunham, whose 2010 film Tiny Furniture put her on the map. She plays Hannah, who has been slaving away at an unpaid internship until her parents decide to finally cut her off. After a misunderstanding leaves her without even the internship, she takes solace in the arms of her artsy (and doofy) boyfriend Adam (Adam Driver) — leading to one of the most funny and awkward sex scenes ever filmed.

Meanwhile, Hannah finds support from her friends: Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet). Even though this pilot only touched upon their individual problems, they are uniquely funny and do not fit the mold which many stock female characters fall into.

Girls is definitely one of the standout shows of 2012. From the witty dialogue and unique characters to flat-out funny humor, it left us both laughing and cringing. We can’t wait to spend more time with our new BFFs!

But at the end of the day, they all have their friendship to fall back on.

The cast is filled with dynamic newcomers like Allison Williams and Jemima Kirke, and the preview looks fresh and amazing. We’re so excited to tune in!
