The series finale of iCarly aired on Nov. 23, 2012, and Miranda Cosgrove as gone full speed ahead ever since! On Feb. 14, it was announced that she was cast in Girlfriend in a Coma, a pilot for NBC. Miranda’s Moving On From ’iCarly’

iCarly has become a classic Nickelodeon show. It ran for seven whole seasons! Miranda clearly kicked butt! She made a name for herself with the sitcom and is now being offered bigger and badder roles to take on. She may have retired her role as Carly Shay, but she won’t be leaving the limelight anytime soon!

Miranda Cosgrove Cast In NBC Pilot, ’Girlfriend in a Coma’

The NBC pilot is a huge opportunity for Miranda to break free from her iCarly chains!  Christina Ricci has cast as the lead in the series. Christina’s character, Karen, wakes up after being a coma for 17 years and discovers she has a 17-year-old daughter, Evie, played by Miranda.

So who is Evie exactly? Well, she’s a small-town, overachieving loner who has been forever branded as the daughter of “Coma Lady,” her mother, reports The Hollywood Reporter. Boy is that a mouthful! Her mother’s return to consciousness has thrown her for a loop that even iCarly couldn’t wittily talk her out of. Uh oh! Though it sounds serious, the story is meant to be a comedy, which should be familiar territory for Miranda.

If Girlfriend in a Coma gets the greenlight as a series, it would mean that Miranda has scored her first series regular role since starring iCarly! We hope it works out!
