HollywoodLife.com chatted with Melissa McCarthy at the ‘Bridesmaids’ premiere in LA April 28 and she put the nail in the coffin for the spin off movie we’ve been waiting on for years! Do YOU want to see a ‘Gilmore Girls’ movie?

As any Gilmore Girl die-hard would tell you, we’d love nothing more than to witness a Lorelai and Rory reunion — but don’t hold your breath waiting for a reunion special or movie to happen.

HollywoodLife.com ran into Melissa McCarthy (Sookie) at the Bridesmaids premiere at Mann’s Village Westwood in LA April 28 and she broke some bad news when we asked her if there was any chance for a Gilmore Girls movie.

“I don’t think so…people ask that all the time. I’ve never heard anything about it,” the 40-year-old actress told us, adding, “It’s all done!”

Say it ain’t so! No  matter how many family dramedies hit the small screen, no one will ever have the spot on chemistry Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel and the rest of the gang had throughout the seven years we watched them on Gilmore Girls.

We can’t help it — we’re still holding on hope for a reunion someday, aren’t you?

If you were expecting to see Lorelai Gilmore 2.0 on tonight’s premiere of Parenthood, you’re going to be disappointed!

We loved Lauren Graham as quirky, quick-witted and totally charming single mom Lorelai Gilmore on the CW’s Gilmore Girls, but the actress says her newest role as a recent divorcee on NBC’s upcoming dramedy Parenthood is as different from her former character as night and day.

“The tone of the show is so different,” Lauren, 42, told reporters Feb. 11, adding that you can’t even compare her old part to her new role as unhappy mom-of-two Sarah Braverman. “They don’t remind me of each other at all.”

As true Gilmore Girl devotees, we were kind of bummed to hear there’d be no trace of the most likeable TV mom ever in Parenthood, but Lauren reassured us she’s much happier working in an ensemble cast than carrying an entire show on her own.

“I’ve found this work really gratifying. It is more specific because [I'm] working with less material. Everything [I] do is really important,” she explained, adding, “I don’t see dawn as much as I did, which has been really enjoyable.”

If Lauren Graham alone doesn’t give you enough reason to check out Parenthood, the guys behind it — Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Friday Night Lights‘ creator Jason Katims — will.

Who says being single means you’re not completely successful? Lauren Graham does not agree – and neither do we.

Lauren Graham has dated a slew of well-known actors — Marc Blucas, Tate Donovan, and Matthew Perry, to name a few — but at 42, the former Gilmore Girl star still hasn’t settled down — and is actually fine with that, thank you very much.

“What is so funny to me is I’m in a profession where two percent of people are working,” Lauren explains in the March issue of More magazine, adding, “Yet there’s still this implication that you’re not completely successful if you’re single and in your forties. Well, why not? I wanted a horse when I was growing up too. Does that mean I’m not successful, because I don’t have a horse?”

We hadn’t heard that particular argument before, but hey, whatever works.

Lauren, who’s new dramedy Parenthood premieres on NBC March 2, also claims that her inability to find the right guy comes from one possible character flaw: she says she’s socially awkward.

“I’ve only connected with people I met by accident,” she admits. “My first boyfriend in high school was the guy who sat in front of me, because, you know, alphabetically, we were soul mates. I looked at the back of his head long enough that I was like, ‘I think I’m in love with you.’”

If only it were as easy as A, B, C, Lauren. If only.
