Flowers, teddy Bears, and spending quality time with your mom is always important on Mother’s Day! But why not throw in a delightful cocktail? The Whiskey Blue at the W New York will be serving “Momitos” this holiday and we’re sharing the super easy-to-make recipe! Grab a bottle of Bacardi Limon and get stirring! Just be sure to add a little bit of “love” to the mix, that’s the most important part!

Momito Cocktail Recipe
Muddle in Rocks Glass:
2 Medium Strawberries
3 Lime Wedges
1 tsp Sugar
5 Mint Leaves

Add Ice and:
2 oz. Bacardi Limon
Splash of Soda Water
Garnish with a Strawberry on Rim

Reese Witherspoon plays an aging athlete in How Do You Know? but in real life her career is still going strong. Yet the mother of two would give it all up in a split second to be with her daughter, Ava, 11, and 7-year-old son, Deacon (whose dad is her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, 36). When HollyBaby.com caught up with the 34-year-old we got her to dish on everything from dating horror stories to what it was like to work with Hollywood cuties Owen Wilson and Paul Rudd.

Christmas is less than two weeks away. What would you say has been your most amazing gift ever?
That’s so easy. My kids are the greatest gift, the greatest thing that ever happened to me.

That’s so sweet, but we’re not surprised. You seem like a very hands-on mom. What advice would you give all the HollyMoms?
Just spend the time with your kids and give yourself a break.

In your new film How Do You Know? you play a woman here who is not that interested in settling down and getting married. Can you relate?
I think it was interesting to play a woman who can articulate that she’s not ready to have a family and settle down. She’s not sure she wants it. I have a lot of friends like that. This role was written so beautifully. I love that she’s not afraid to be honest about not wanting what other women want. Obviously, it’s not like me.

So you prefer a family life?
I love it. I have two kids and a very settled-down life.

Reese wants more babies

This movie features the blind date from hell. Ever had one of those?
Yes. I went on a blind date and he corrected my grammar. I knew in the first 10 minutes that the date was over.

OMG, how horrible! What was it like to play a more non-sentimental ex-athlete who is confused about love?
It was interesting. I’ve done a lot of comedies where the woman talks about the men. She runs around going, “What should I do?” She cries to her girlfriends about love. The woman I play in this movie has a hard time conveying her own emotions. She doesn’t even really want to talk about things. She says to her boyfriend, played by Owen Wilson, “If I wake up in the middle of the night crying just ignore me.” No woman would say that in real-life to her boyfriend! I usually play more verbal characters. This woman is more interior.

She puts inspirational Post-Its around the house. Do you ever do that?
I do put inspirational Post-Its around my house. I’m definitely one of those people with Posts-Its that read: There are six evils in the world… Desire, greed, envy, etc. I try to remind myself all those things to avoid. I do believe in positive affirmations, too. My favorite is: “Judge not, lest you be judged.” Now that’s a pretty good one that has guided me through life.

Who was more appealing to you in the film – a shy type of guy like Paul Rudd or the sexy athlete played by Owen Wilson who is funny, buys great jewelry, etc.
This movie was a tough job, ladies, but someone had to do it. I felt like I was in a test kitchen here. I have to choose between Paul and Owen in this love triangle. How lucky am I to get to work with two of the most talented and handsome men in this business? Every time I’d do a scene with Owen, I’d get really attached to him. I’d want to cry when it was over. Then I’d so scenes with Paul and feel like I was cheating on Owen.

Your character is a professional softball player who must leave the biz because she’s getting older. Ever worry about aging in Hollywood?
It’s a parallel to being an actor. As a woman, we have a time. It’s our time to work, we work a lot and then hopefully you shift and become the Meryl Streeps or Diane Keatons of this business. I do know actresses have a shelf life and an expiration date.

What advice do you wish you could have given your younger self?
I had a girlfriend who said something really smart to me the other day. She told me that she went to the same coffee shop every single night because she was in love with this guy who played in a band who went there. She never noticed the guy behind the counter who was in love with her. The best advice I wish I would have known is what my friend said when she told me, “Don’t look at the guy you’re chasing. Look at the guy chasing you.” But boy, it’s fun to chase boys when you’re young!

What do you get the kid whose parents broke up while the whole world watched? If you’re Teen Mom stars Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards, you get him a shiny, new, $2,000 mini electric four-wheeler car, according to OK! magazine. But we all know that reality stars don’t make very much money–so where is this money coming from? And are they crazy to get Bentley, 2, such a lavish gift?

In addition to the car, Ryan’s family is throwing a huge party for his side of the family on Christmas Day, and Maci, 19, will have her own special celebration with the adorable kiddo on Christmas Eve.

It’s nice to see that even though the exes, who appeared on MTV’s megahit shows 16 and Pregnant and then Teen Mom, are playing nice for the sake of the kid. Even if their relationship didn’t work out, they are showing that they are great co-parents for their two-year-old son. 

‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood got her baby back. Is that a good idea?

“Now [Bentley] is excited to see him or he’s sad to leave him,” Maci said recently. “If he sees a truck that looks like Ryan’s, he’ll say, ‘Da-da.’ There’s an emotional connection there that wasn’t there before.” While it’s not easy to grow up in a broken home, it’s great to see that they’re doing their best to keep life as normal as possible for baby Bentley.

Ben Affleck isn’t “capable” of doing the holiday shopping for his family — he leaves that job to his better half, Jennifer Garner! “Because my wife is so capable and because I’m less so, she does a lot of that work, and I kind of root her on. I’m encouraging,” the 38 year-old actor tells Ellen DeGeneres in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Wednesday (Dec. 1). “I’m not particularly proud of it. But it’s a bit of a ’50s thing, I guess.”

An insider says Ben and Jen’s marriage on the rocks

While Jen, 38, acts as a little Christmas elf, all Ben does is worry about the one gift he is responsible for — a present for his wonderful wife! “It takes her as much energy and effort to buy like the 20 gifts, we’re going to buy other people, as it does to buy her gift,” he admits. “I spend the whole time fretting about that and being nervous and hoping she likes that.”

But, with Ben’s gift ideas, we’re not sure Jen is going to be too excited about the gift she unwraps on Christmas morning! “I end up at like CVS on the 24th being like, ‘Maybe she’d like a little Godzilla that goes around,’” he says. ”My kids actually would like that…”

Sorry Destiny and Lamar Jr. — We know you were dreaming of a pony for Christmas, but it’s not coming from your step-mommy Khloe!

Khloe, we’re still getting used to the idea you’ve got two step-kids, so we can’t even imagine how you’re holding up! Christmas is just around the corner and you’re going to have to do something special for Lamar’s kids, Destiny, 11, and Lamar Jr., 7. But don’t stress too much! HollywoodLife.com chatted with a family blending expert to find out exactly how you should delicately handle the holidays.

First of all Khloe, breathe a sigh of relief! You’re off the hook in the gift department, family blending expert Dorian Traube tells us. “I don’t know that it’s necessary for [Khloe] to give them a gift herself,” she said. “Whether she gives a gift with Lamar or not, the most important thing is that it’s clear what her intentions are and that she’s not trying to buy the children’s affection. It’d be really inappropriate for her to send a pony. You don’t want to out-do the mother.”

Khloe, since you went through the same things these kids are going through now when you’re mom married Bruce Jenner, Dr. Traube suggests that you pull from your own experiences as a step-child. Also, even though we’ve heard things aren’t too warm and fuzzy between you and Lamar’s ex Liza Morales, you’re going to have to bite the bullet and reach out to her for the sake of the kids, says Dr. Traube.

“The first step in blending a new family is to make sure that every single parent is involved and on the same page. That’s going to be difficult because there’s contention,” Dr. Traube admitted. “Khloe’s got to talk to Liza and say, ‘I understand that you have problems with me and the marriage, but I want to talk about your kids and make sure they are healthy and happy.’”

Hey, we were going to suggest cookies and milk at midnight, but that might send Lisa the wrong message. Good luck Khloe, you’ve got your work cut out for you but we know you can do it!
