George Zimmerman declared he had few regrets of the night he killed teenager Trayvon Martin, and the original interview with Fox News on Thursday July 18 may be used against him!

In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, George — calm and collected — said he did not regret carrying a gun that night nor pursuing 17-year-old Trayvon.

George said, “I feel that it was all God’s plan.” When asked if there was “anything you might do differently,” George replied, “No Sir.”

The prosecution could attempt to admit the tape as evidence in George’s trial on charges of second degree murder.

After a commercial break, George looked into the camera — after realizing what he had said — and countered, “I do wish that there was something, anything I could have done that would have put me in the position that I wouldn’t have to take his life.”

Veteran legal analyst and defense attorney Mark Eiglarsh told ABC News, “He has impeached himself publicly, this is going to be a huge problem for him… and the prosecutors must be extremely pleased… He was making inconsistent statements that they can use in a trial against him.”

George’s follow-up interview with Barbara Walters was cancelled after he allegedly requested ABC put him and his wife up in a hotel for a month!

George Zimmerman broke his silence on Wednesday, July 18, when he sat down for his first public interview with Sean Hannity. Apparently, he was due to speak with Barbara Walters next, but when he began making certain requests, she walked away from the interview.

According to the NY Post, Barbara pulled the plug on the interview after George demanded that ABC put him and his wife up in a hotel for a month. On the Thursday, July 19 episode of The View, Barbara confirmed much of the story.

She said that she and her team flew down to Florida for the interview. Once there, Barbara said that George came in wearing a t-shirt, rather than a suit. “That should have been my first clue,” she said. According to Barbara, he said that plans had changed, and he was refusing to do the interview, unless ABC granted him one request. While Barbara wouldn’t confirm that the request was the hotel stay, she said, “It was a condition that, being a member of ABC News, I was unable to grant.”

Barbara then said that George wanted to call into the show and speak to her. “He wouldn’t do the interview, but now he has something to say,” she said, adding, “This has been an interesting day, to say the least.”

She refused to speak with him on air. “Mr. Zimmerman, if you could not do the interview yesterday, I don’t think we should do a quick one today,” she said. “In the future, if you feel differently, we will consider it.”

Travyon’s parents went on TODAY on July 19 and said that George’s apology was ‘ridiculous’ read on to find out why!

George Zimmerman went on Fox News and said that he was “sorry” for all the hurt he’s caused Trayvon Martin‘s family. But Trayvon’s parents aren’t buying it. When Matt Lauer interviewed them on the Today Show, both parents were upset.

“I think that’s ridiculous” Trayvon mom said about George’s apology. She’s referencing George’s comments to Sean Hannity when he said: “I feel it was all God’s plan and for me to second guess it or judge it.” Then he was asked if he would do anything differently if he could go back in time and he said: “No, sir.”

George went on to claim that Trayvon threatened his life.

“No, Trayvon is a child, a 17-year-old child,” his mom said. “I can’t imagine him saying something like that.” With Trayvon’s father adding: ”There are no witnesses that they were fighting over the gun, Trayvon is dead.”

Since the February shooting that left young Trayvon Martin dead, George Zimmerman hadn’t participated in any public interviews. But in a new interview on Wednesday, July 18, George broke his silence — and apologized.

When asked in an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity what he’d say to Trayvon’s parents, George said, “I would tell them that again, I am sorry. I’m sorry they buried their child. I can’t imagine what it must feel like. And I pray for them daily.”

George, 28, has been charged with second-degree murder for shooting 17-year-old Trayvon in what George says was self-defense. He has pleaded not guilty and has been free on $1 million bond since early July.

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer charged with killing Trayvon Martin has been ordered to return to court within 48 hours. Prosecutors claim he “misrepresented, misled and deceived the court” during his April bond hearing, where he was given a $150,000 bond.

Seminole County Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. said George misled the court about how much money he had available. The prosecutors in the case claim he had $135,000 available from a website George had set up. “The court was led to believe that they didn’t have a single penny,” said prosecutor Bernie De La Rionda. “If this [the money] wasn’t relevant to bond then why did they lie about it? I don’t know what other words to use besides that it was a blatant lie.”

George also had apparently obtained a second passport two weeks after the shooting, but failed to surrender it to the court. He reportedly thought his first passport was lost and found the second one later on. George’s lawyer says his client had given him the passport but the lawyer had forgotten to hand it into authorities until today.

Jamie Cohen, an attorney from Florida, explains this could have serious consequences for George. “He could be held in contempt of court and the judge could issue him a larger bond in order to release him again,” explains Ms. Cohen. “There is also a chance that he could be sent back to jail until his next hearing.”

George has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and is claiming self-defense for the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon.

George Zimmerman, 28, is currently facing a charge for second-degree murder for shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. His parents —  Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin  – spoke out regarding the latest development on The Today Show on April 12 saying they thought the shooting was “an accident.”

“I believe it was an accident. I believe that it just got out of control, and he couldn’t turn the clock back,” Trayvon’s mother said on Today.

Since then, Sybrina and Tracy have released a statement holding firm to their belief that their son is still a victim of murder.

We believe that George Zimmerman stalked my son and murdered him in cold blood,” Fulton said. “The ‘accident’ I was referring to was the fact that George Zimmerman and my son ever crossed paths. It was an accidental encounter. If George Zimmerman hadn’t gotten out of his vehicle, this entire incident would have been avoided.”

George Zimmerman, who allegedly shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin out of self-defense in Sanford, Fla., is in police custody and will face second-degree murder charges, the Associated Press reports. We are SO glad he will face justice in court.

This comes after the uproar that occurred after an attorney said the case would not be sent to a grand jury.

This is the first time in 44 days since Trayvon’s murder that George Zimmerman, 28, is closer than ever to spending time behind bars.
