At the Gangster Squad premiere in LA on Jan. 7, Ryan Gosling, 32, brought his mother, Donna Gosling, as a date. Although his girlfriend, Eva Mendes, wasn’t physically there, she was kind enough to let Donna raid her closet for the special night!

Donna looked beautiful in the fitted frock and and black pumps! She wore her hair down and looked amazing latched onto Ryan’s arm! In an interview with Us Weekly, Donna said, “I’m wearing Eva Mendes. She let me raid her closet.” The two beauties must be pretty tight for Eva to lend out her clothes! A source once told Us Weekly, “Donna and Eva get along really, really well. Donna wants Ryan to settle down and Eva is all about getting him on that train too, so they’re both on the same page.” How adorable!

The couple is said to have been “friends forever,” but sparks really started to fly during the shooting of their movie, The Place Beyond the Pines back in 2011. It’s great to see that Donna is on board with Ryan’s love life!

Ryan seems to be in his glory with his mother by his side. When Us Weekly asked what made Donna the perfect date, he replied “I mean, where do I start? That’s an impossible question to answer. She’s amazing!” Standing next to hottie in his Gucci suit must be tough, but Donna looked wonderful.

The ruched dress paired with the paisley trench and long necklace looked like the perfect fashion statement. The coat gives it more of a mature touch to show her warm, motherly ways. At the same time, the dress shows off her great figure for her age. It’s a wonderful mix.

Emma Stone wore practically all Lanvin for the Gangster Squad premiere at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Jan. 7, where she wowed in a strapless, red woven silk and brocade strapless dress from the Lanvin Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Emma was the first celeb to sport a look from the Lanvin Pre-Fall Spring 2013 collection this year — and we absolutely adored it!

The stylish star added a Lanvin ‘Volubilis’ crystal flower brooch to her belt, which accentuated her waistline and added the perfect touch to her classic yet chic ensemble.

Emma’s ‘Babylon’ crystal necklace was a great pick, and it looked fab paired with the sweetheart neckline of the dress. She paired the dress with patent leather Christian Louboutin ‘Batignolles’ heels– red, red, red! Her blonde hair and smoky eyes looked elegant, and we’re definitely lovin’ it! This look was a bit more mature and classic than the last time she wore a red Lanvin ensemble, (which was at the 2012 Met Gala), but red is definitely her color.

In her new movie, Gangster Squad, Emma was able to sport the gorgeous, sexy styles of the 1940s, and she loved it! We asked her what her favorite thing about the fashion of the 1940s was, and she responded quickly, “The corsets! The corsets are really fun.”

There’s no doubt that corsets were a feminine style staple during that time — and we don’t blame her for loving the look! Be sure to catch Emma in Gangster Squad on Jan. 11, when it hits theaters.

Warner Bros. has pulled a badly timed Gangster Squad trailer, which showed men opening fire in a movie theater. Our sister site Deadline was the first to report this preview, which was airing in movie theaters across the US this morning. 

“At 6 AM, Warner Bros started notifying the theater circuits to pull the offensive Gangster Squad trailer. That is being done all over North America today. Meanwhile, Warner Bros’ marketing department is scrambling to get out its second-generation Gangster Squad trailer already in the works. This new trailer, without the movie theater scene, will be swapped out for the offensive one within a week,” reports Nikki Finke.

Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin star in the gangster movie. The film, set in 1949, is about a Mafia godfather who runs Los Angeles. The offensive scene has four men in trenchcoats shooting automatic weapons into the audience.

So did the Aurora victims at the midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises see this clip prior to their own real life massacre that left 71 people shot and 12 dead? Despite previous reports to the contrary, the WB told E! News that the clip did not run at the tragic Aurora midnight showing last night.
