Are you glad Mercedes isn’t with child, or would you like to see her try to fill Quinn’s teen mom shoes?

When Glee fans began to speculate that Mercedes (Amber Riley) was pregnant — she was puking and complaining of stomach pains on this week’s episode — Amber decided to tweet the record straight: “Mercedes is NOT pregnant,” she announced Oct. 4. At first I was disappointed, because I really thought that could be an interesting direction for Mercedes, but after reflecting on the possibility over a plate of tots, I’m actually kind of relieved. That girl would have made a terrible mother!

Her questionable dietary habits aside — that girl would have fed her baby Quiznos for every meal, and you know it — Mercedes is one of the most selfish, not to mention irrational, characters on Glee.

I’m not a Mercedes hater — just a hater of the outrageous new attitude she seems to have picked up over summer vacation. I’m glad her new boyfriend (LaMarcus Tinker) is trying to instill confidence in her, but there’s a difference between confidence and arrogance.

Unless you’ve literally been living under a rock, you’ve heard at least a little bit about Terra Nova, FOX’s incredibly ambitious new series about a family that travels millions of years into the past to live among the dinosaurs. With a budget of about $4 million per episode, the word “epic” doesn’t even begin to describe the buzzy new series, whose two-hour premiere airs at 8 p.m. tonight on FOX. Think Land of the Lost, but cooler. And sexier. And better. OK, fine, stop thinking about Land of the Lost!

Here are the five reasons I have Terra Nova cued up on my DVR at home:

1. Come on, it’s Steven Spielberg. My memory isn’t quite what it used to be, but I don’t recall Mr. Spielberg ever steering us wrong in the past. Among his past hits are a little movie called E.T., the new hit show Falling Skies, and of course, the Jurassic Park series. Oh, and speaking of Jurassic Park…

2. The next Jurassic Park movie isn’t coming out for a long, long time. According to Deadline.com, a fourth installment in the Jurassic Park saga is expected to hit theaters at some point within the next two to three years. I don’t know about you, but two years is an awfully long time to wait for my next dino fix. The only downside to Terra Nova vs. Jurassic Park? Not nearly enough Jeff Goldblum.

3. It has a Degrassi connection! Are you curious what Declan (Landon Liboiron) and his eyebrows have been up to since leaving the hallowed halls of Degrassi Community School? Well, you’ll be happy to know Landon scored a starring role on Terra Nova as the angsty teen of the Shannon family! (And yes, I promise to separate Landon from his Degrassi persona… eventually.)

4. It’s something different! Terra Nova is a total escape from the shows we’re used to seeing on TV these days. You won’t find any Upper East Siders, or witches, and you definitely won’t come across any vampires! Now, don’t get me wrong — I love all three — but you’ve got to admit, it’s nice to mix it up every once in a while.

5. It’s really not just about dinosaurs. Contrary to what the promos — and everything I’ve written so far — would have you believe, Terra Nova is not just a show about giant, ancient beasts. It’s also about real human relationships. In fact, Jason O’Mara teased a bit of what we can expect from the emotional side of the series in this cool interview with our sister site, TVLine!

A close friend of Ashley’s tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she didn’t think she’d make it that far on ‘The Bachelor’ — and if she wasn’t going to find love, then she might be able to get her foot in the door of the dancing world!

Ashley Hebert — currently starring as The Bachelorette — hoped to find love on The Bachelor and if she couldn’t, she dreamed of a spot on Dancing with the Stars!

“Going on Dancing with the Stars was one of her reasons for going on The Bachelor,” a source very close to Ashley tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively! “Because of her dancing background,” Ashley thought she would have a shot.

But promoting her dancing career was just an added bonus. “Her main reason for going on The Bachelor was to see what would happen with possibly finding love,” our source explains.

Plus, she didn’t think that Bachelor Brad Womack would keep her around that long, especially to the final three! “She told me she didn’t expect to make it as far as she did on The Bachelor,” says the friend.

“I just didn’t think I’d make it far,” Ashley wrote in a text message to her friend in December — shortly after she finished filming The Bachelor. “Didn’t think I was that irresistible Hahaha jk”

And this isn’t the first time Ashley, who has been dancing since she was a child, made a go for it in the dancing world. “She had tried out for So You Think You Can Dance in 2009,” shares the friend.

We were the first to tell you that Ashley’s dreams may soon come true. A spot has been offered to Ashley for the next season of DWTS! “The show executives would love to have her on for next season, and so they’ve asked if she will join the cast,” a source says. “They are in negotiations, and it is definitely hers if she wants it.”

Chasters, your wait is finally over! Sunshine Corazon has been sorely missed from Glee ever since she appeared — and quickly disappeared — in the hallowed halls of McKinley High this past fall. But now she’s back, and Charice told HollywoodLife.com we can expect more tension between her character and Lea Michele‘s Rachel. ”I’ve been reading comments on my Twitter, and I’m really happy to know the fans are excited,” she told us in a phone call April 18. “Ryan [Murphy] has made the fans wait, but in a good way.”

And while Sunshine is busy battling Rachel, Charice is buddying up with another one of the show’s stars: Jane Lynch!

“I feel like I’m a six-year-old kid,” Charice also revealed. “She’s really tall, but I love Jane. When I was on set, she was the first one who talked to me. We got close. She’s really sweet.”

‘Glee’ returns April 12 — and we’ve got your first look at one of the upcoming musical numbers!

I hope you’re ready for a “Sunshine Day,” because it looks like that’s exactly what Lea Michele and Chris Colfer will be serving up later this season on Glee. The duo took over a Los Angeles mall March 29 for a massive song-and-dance routine, and in true Brady Bunch fashion, they made good use of the escalators. Side note: Am I the only one who kind of (but not really) thought that was Drake bopping around behind Lea?

Charlie, sitcom-wildman-turned-merchandise-merchant, burst onto the stage of the ABC late-night show to deliver T-shirts– and a big smooch on the lips to host Jimmy Kimmel!

Charlie Sheen stormed back on to entertainment TV on Jimmy Kimmel Live! March 21, barging in as Jimmy and billionaire Mark Cuban discussed Mark’s plans to go into business with Charlie!

The audience went wild as Charlie, 45, hit the set. He rolled in carrying a bag of shirts emblazoned with his now-famous catch phrases, like “Winning!” and “Tiger Blood”!

“Come on a**holes, up” Charlie commanded the crowd. He hugged Mark, then went right at Jimmy, kissing him square on the lips, lingering for a few uncomfortable seconds!

When Charlie stook a seat next to Mark, he barked ”silence!” to quiet the applause  – and to plug his upcoming live concert-hall tour. “‘I have a show to write!”

He gave Jimmy a mug with a fox logo, a hint about the big brainstorming sitdown he had with Fox Netowrk execs — a meeting that seems to have made CBS get serious about getting Charlie back on Two and a Half Men.

Before Charlie left the set, he handed out his shirts to the adoring crowd — and then he was gone, into the night!

The onetime sitcom star could become a late-night host! That’s just one of the ideas he’s said to be tossing around with network execs. Maybe that’s why CBS wants him back quick?

Charlie Sheen had a secret meeting with Fox to run down possible ideas for his TV comeback — including a late-night gig — according to TMZ.com.

America’s favorite wacko ranter sat down with top executives in entertainment and sports to try to figure what kind of show would work best. They want to capitalize on the meltdown that got Charlie bounced from the CBS mega-hit Two and A Half Men – and then made him  a late-night punchline, a web sensation and now a sold-out touring act!

TMZ says the meeting ended without a decision on the best Fox platform for Charlie — but all of the network honchos were charmed by the off-the-rails wildman!

Word of the Fox sitdown came just as it emerged that CBS President Les Moonves is personally trying to get Charlie back on the air on the Warner Bros. Television sitcom that had been such a big hit for his network. Maybe CBS is feeling the heat from Charlie talking with Fox?

We fell in love with Charice when she appeared on the season premiere of Glee, and we were psyched when rumors surfaced that she’d be back for the Feb. 6 Super Bowl episode. FOX has yet to confirm Charice’s return as Rachel’s (Lea Michele) rival, Sunshine Corazon, but one of her Glee co-stars says we won’t have to wait long!

“I talked to some of the writers and they were saying that she’s going to come back to fulfill her storyline,” Harry Shum Jr. told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Jan. 30 at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.

“I think that she will come back in the future in the second season,” he continued.

The vagueness of Harry’s answer worries us a little, but at least now there’s proof we’ll finally be getting the Charice fix we so desperately crave!

But there’s one person you shouldn’t expect to see walking the halls of McKinley High anytime soon: Justin Bieber. Though the glee club will be doing a couple of Justin’s songs on an upcoming episode, Harry told us the hour will almost definitely be Bieber-less.

“That episode is done as of right now,” Harry told us. “I don’t think he’s going to be on. I think he’s a little busy. I saw him on Letterman, Leno, he has a movie coming out. He’s all over the place, he’s doing concerts, c’mon!”
