Bio:
Finn Balor (born Fergal Devitt on July 25, 1981 in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland) is an Irish professional wrestler. Growing up, Finn played soccer and Gaelic soccer when he was younger, before switching over to professional wrestling, as he was a fan of World Of Sport and other professional wrestlers like Shawn Michaels and The British Bulldogs. After training with NWA UK Hammerlock, Finn made his debut in 2000 at the age of 18. He soon won the NWA British Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship. His career quickly took off. A good showing at the NWA’s 57th anniversary show, Finn was invited to train at the New Japan Inoki Dojo. This led him to develop a more Japanese style of professional wrestling, and signing with New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2006. He was christened Prince Devitt, though he would also wrestle as Pegasis Kid (a character once portrayed by Chris Benoit.) He would find success in the promotion, willing the Junior Heavyweight Champions 3 times and the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship 6 times. He would also win Best of the Super Juniors twice. He would famously form the stable, Bullet Club, before leaving for the WWE in 2014. While training in the NXT promotion, Finn would win the NXT Championship as well as the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. In 2016, he was drafted to the main WWE roster, joining the Raw brand in July. Finn would skyrocket to the top, defeating Seth Rollins at SummerSlam to become the inaugural WWE Universal Champion. The next night, he would forfeit the title due to a shoulder injury suffered during the match.
