Charice is known for connecting with her fans — better known as “Chasters” — through her music, and she promises that her next song “New World” will continue to do just that. “When I recorded the song, I was like, this is a great song,” Charice says in a new interview. “It’s like you can really relate to it. Not only me, but all the people.”

The song, which will appear on her upcoming album Infinity, will also serve as the theme song for the international version of Final Fantasy XIII-2, hitting North American shelves in Jan. 2012.

TV, movies, music, and now video games? It’s true – Charice truly is on her way to becoming a master of all media. According to multiple reports, our girl Charice will be providing the theme song for the international version of Final Fantasy XIII-2, which is expected to hit stores in North America on Jan. 30, 2012.

Popular Japanese singer Mai Fukui will sing the theme song for the Japanese version, while Charice’s “New World,” as the title appropriately suggests, be heard worldwide.
