We caught up with her at QVC’s Fashion’s Night Out where she spoke out about the sticky situation — and why it shouldn’t be one at all!

Heidi, who was on hand promoting her latest Wildlife by Heidi Klum jewelry line, said, “I think if you’re a woman and a man buys something for you, you should be very grateful for that.” The major supermodel is so down to earth!

“Even if you don’t like it just suck it up and put it on sometimes to make him feel good. Why not wear what they wanna see you in?”

The star sure knows how to work it when it comes to her man — and we think she has the right idea!

Justin Bieber won’t be hanging a diploma next to the gold records on his wall — at least not anytime soon. Justin was asked if a college education is in his future during Fashion’s Night Out on Sept. 8, and he told reporters: “To be honest, not in my plans as of now.”

So no college for the Biebs. He must really love high school, then… right?

“No actually, I really don’t,” he continued. “[High school] is so dramatic. I hate drama!”

Can’t say we blame him! High school can be intense.

And here’s why you, Hollymoms, should feel guilt-free about blowing off work events that just aren’t essential.

The bottom line is — no matter what your career is and how important it is — your children have to come first! We all get invited to kinds of after hours events but when we have kids we have to make choices about what’s really important!

Now tonight, here in NYC, fashionistas throughout the city are salivating about shopping or just hanging out at star-infested stores. Justin Bieber will be gracing the Dolce & Gabanna boutique, Kim Kardashian will hold court at her Dash Boutique and Sarah Jessica Parker will hit the Manolo Blahnik boutique.

But you know what — it’s also the first week of school for my 10-year-old son. Sasha, who just started fifth grade and my daughter Leilah, 14, who’s finally hit high school.

They need me at home. Sasha wants me to read to him. He’s been hyper and nervous all week. Leilah’s desperate for me to read a novel that’s her first ninth grade language arts assignment, so I have to start it.

So I’m saying no to fashion. No to star power and yes to going home. And so can you.

“I had to make a choice between my mom life and my executive life today, and I chose my mom life,” agrees Marisa Thalberg, a cosmetics industry executive and Founder and President of Executivemoms.com, who also felt compelled to attend Fashion’s Night Out, but didn’t. “But my daughters — my 10-year-old and five-year-old, have just started at new schools and it’s just more important to be at home with them tonight.”

Marisa says that like most moms she’s doing a “constant mental calculus” about what’s necessary — attend after work functions or attend to her children’s needs.

I get it, and I bet you get it too Hollymoms. So don’t feel guilty. Do what Marisa and I are doing — choose your kids over work functions that aren’t absolutely essential! Agree?

Justin Bieber not only has swagger, he has fashion sense! The 17-year-old popstar has kept us all guessing as to whether he would attend NYC Fashion Week and now we have our answer!

Justin took to his Twitter bright and early on Sept. 8 to tell his over 12 million followers: “Packing up for NYC in the morning. going to support @pencilsofpromis and @dolcegabbana for Fashion Night Out.”

Justin later continued: “NYC…Fashion Night Out…LEGGO! @kennyhamilton is sleeping on the plane. #theusual.”

We know that Justin will be at the Dolce & Gabbana store on Madison Avenue starting at 6pm for their Passion Duos celebration. All of the proceeds from tonight’s event go to Pencils of Promise, an organization started by Justin’s manager Scooter Braun‘s brother. Justin has been a long-time supporter of this charity which helps kids all over the world get school supplies.

We told you that we thought the happy couple would attend the NYC festivities together since their schedules mesh this week. Now that his girlfriend Selena Gomez has a Dream Out Loud line at K-Mart — it makes perfect sense for her to mingle with other fashionistas!

Even though Jelena didn’t fly out together, there’s still time for these two to connect in NYC!
