It’s official: Fall Out Boy’s two-year break is over! Fans can rejoice with a new single, plans for an album and a tour. Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley addressed their fans via their band’s official website to let them know that Fall Out Boy is back in action.

“[W]hen we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music,” read the official statement. “It’s why we started fall out boy in the first place. this isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. we needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us.”

Oh, and one more thing:

“The future of fall out boy starts now.”

“My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” is the band’s first single off its new album Save Rock and Roll, which will be released May 6.

With the excitement of an album on the way, Fall Out Boy decided to get fans even more excited by playing three one-night-only concerts for their fans in Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

For those who don’t get the chance to see Fall Out Boy at their one-night-only concerts, don’t fret. Fall Out Boy will kick off their Save Rock and Roll tour May 16.

A source close to Pete says the rock star is ‘ready to be happy again’ — without Ashlee!

At first Pete Wentz was devastated that his wife Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce. But now the 31-year-old Fall Out Boy is getting tired of sitting around while his soon-to-be ex-wife parades around town with his former friend, rocker Craig Owens, 26. In the midst of a custody battle with Ashlee, 26, over their 2-year-old son Bronx, Pete has decided to move on and start dating again!

“Pete is picking up the pieces, and he is not going to be depressed about Ashlee dumping him,” a source tells In Touch magazine.

He actually sees Ashley’s recent action as reason enough to start enjoying his new single life. “It will make dating and hooking up with a new girl much easier,” Pete has been telling his pals. “I will feel guilt-free.”

Pete’s focusing more on work now that satisfying Ashlee’s every whim is no longer an obligation he must consider. “Pete is planning on working overtime with his band, the Black Cards, and making them a huge success,” says the source. “Now that he’s not with Ashlee, he can make his career a priority — not worrying about her jealousy.”

Well, that’s exactly how Fall Out Boy‘s Pete Wentz feels about his 22-month-old son, Bronx, and his wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, 25! “He’ll call me up and be like, ‘All he [Bronx] wants to do is hang out with Ashlee,’” Pete’s good friend Blink-182 bass player Mark Hoppus told HollyBaby.com exclusively Sept. 16 at the launch party for Fuse’s new show A Different Spin with Mark Hoppus at MPD restaurant in NYC.

“I’ll be like, ‘Yeah, for the first couple of years, the kid is all about Mom. And then after that you will get a chance with your son,’” Mark said of how he advised Pete, 31, to handle the situation. ‘”Just hang in there.’”

“Pete and I talk about raising kids all the time,” Mark continued. “His kid is significantly younger than mine, so I’m guiding him.”

The 21-month-old couldn’t get enough of the big koi fish and turtles that popped their heads out of the water for a peek at the famous family.

And as HollyBaby.com reported exclusively last week, Ashlee, 25, and Pete, 31, plan to give Bronx a baby brother or sister. “We definitely will [have more children] in the future,” she told us exclusively at a New York Fashion Week event. But she’s not setting any deadlines. “You know, life happens when it’s supposed to,” added Ashlee. Bronx is such a cutie-patootie, we can’t wait to see another little Wentz baby!

We got to catch up with Pete Wentz before his show where he filled us in on his new collection! “I wanted this line to be a little bit darker, we’re a street wear company and I try to make clothes that I would wear and clothes that are affordable and authentic to my personality so this is what I’m wearing right now,” he said, before his fashion show at STYLE360 in NYC on Feb. 16. So, how does he go about designing clothes for women? He enlists the help of his wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz! “Anything that’s girl related is always bounced off her first, cause I don’t really know the first thing about girls,” Pete said. Aww, how sweet! We got to sit across from Ashlee and watched while she bopped along to the music while the models came down the runway. “I thought the show was great!” she told us backstage, before saying that the ending, where Pete was rolled out as Hannibal Lecter, was the best part! “Pete always makes me laugh,” she told us. “I thought the ending was great!”

As for Ashlee, she told HollywoodLife.com that she had a blast on Broadway…and is planning to return! “I’ll definitely be back, singing and dancing was so much fun!” Ashlee, since we loved you the first time around, we can’t wait for your return!

Would you be upset if Pete split from the band he’s played with for more than a decade, or would you be psyched to see him as a solo act?

Despite Fall Out Boy singer Pete Wentz’s previous declaration that his band was on an “indefinite hiatus”, it looks like that break has become a break up.

“As much as I don’t have a solo project, I also can’t predict that I’d ever play in fall out boy again,” Pete, 30, wrote Feb. 2 on his personal blog, adding, “In this statement I’d like to include there is the possibility that FOB will play again without me or I will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page.”

Pete has hinted in the past that his celebrity status and marriage to Ashlee Simpson, 25, has been a source of constant rifts among his band members because his new celebrity status has overshadowed Fall Out Boy’s success (Re: Yoko Ono).

However, Pete doesn’t think that any one thing is to blame for his band’s demise. “It is no ones fault and there is no animosity about the decision. I felt as fans you deserve to know.” He added that while the band may be done, he’s proud of how far they managed to come. “I am the single biggest fan of FOB and if this is our legacy than so be it. I am proud of it.”
