Christina Aguilera sang a tribute to the late Etta James at her funeral in Los Angeles Jan. 28. Watch the emotional video.

Etta James left behind an era when she passed away Jan. 20 at 73 years old and her funeral brought together a group of high powered A-listers in Los Angeles this morning.

Stevie Wonder and Christina Aguilera both performed songs and Rev. Al Sharpton read a note written by President Barack Obama.

Christina, 31, has credited Etta for inspiring her since she was a little girl and her heart felt rendition of “At Last” had us tearing up. Isn’t it beautiful?

Singing legend Etta James passed away on Jan. 20 in Los Angeles, and Beyonce portrayed the icon in the 2008 film Cadillac Records. After hearing of her death, Beyonce came out to say that Etta was “one of the greatest vocalists of our time.”

The singer, 3o, took to her website to write, “Playing Etta James taught me so much about myself, and singing her music inspired me to be a stronger artist.”

The new mom marveled at James’ voice, remarking, “When she effortlessly opened her mouth, you could hear her pain and triumph.  Her deeply emotional way of delivering a song told her story with no filter.”

Beyonce went on to say that the incredible singer “will be missed.”

Etta James has died at the age of 73 due to complications from leukemia, CNN reports.

“This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world. She was a true original who could sing it all — her music defied category,” her manager Lupe DeLeon said in a statement.

The “At Last” singer’s husband and children were with her in her final moments.
