Guiliana and Bill Rancic welcomed their first baby, Edward Duke, in August 2012 via a surrogate after years of failed fertility treatments, and Giuliana’s frightening battle with breast cancer. But the Ready for Love hosts love being parents so much, they can’t wait to add another baby into the mix!

Giuliana & Bill Rancic: Why They Want Another Baby

The happy couple opened up why they are ready for a baby sooner rather than later, and Bill dished about their hurry to have another child. He told InTouch magazine:

“Well, we’re not getting any younger. And everyone we’ve talked to tells us to keep them close in age so they can really connect and have that bond,” he told the magazine.

“Everything is in place so we can do that,” he added.

Guiliana also revealed that they would use a surrogate again because they have limited options.

Giuliana Loves Edward Duke’s Happy Personality

The happy mother dished about her baby’s cute personality, and why she loves her little guy so much! She told the magazine:

“He’s happy and loving life, but he’s got a fiery little Italian temper! If you take a toy away, his arms get stiff, he grunts, and his face gets red. Bill’s like, ‘Oh God, he’s definitely Italian!’ she joked

Being a mom has been a learning experience for the E! host, but she admitted working and being away from the baby is harder than she thought.

“I knew I’d miss him when I was at work, but I thought I was this hardcore career girl and could balance both. And I’m trying to, but now I just understand why so many women just want to be with the baby all the time,” she added

Giuliana Rancic and Bill Rancic have been happily married since they tied the knot in Italy in 2007, but just became first-time parents in August when they welcomed their baby boy Edward Duke via gestational surrogate. As part of their new family plan, the power couple has decided to put their marriage first, and their baby second.

“We’re husband and wife, but we’re also best friends, and it’s funny because a lot of people, when they have kids, they put the baby first, and the marriage second,” the E! News host told Us Weekly. “That works for some people. For us, I find, we put our marriage first and our child second, because the best thing we can do for him is have a strong marriage.”

Giuliana: Being A Mom Makes My Marriage Stronger

Giuliana, who met her hubby Bill when she interviewed him after he won the first season of The Apprentice, has always wanted to be a mom, and battled fertility struggles — and breast cancer — before her dream came true last summer.

But now that she’s a mom, she revealed how much it has impacted her relationship with her man — for the better.

“We’re even stronger than we ever were before and even imagined we could be,” she said.”I always say to Bill, ‘You were my first baby,’ because he was! He was my first love and my first baby and Duke is my second baby.”

So sweet! It sounds like the Rancics are one big happy family.

Giuliana Rancic endured a brutal four-year journey with husband Bill Rancic to welcome their miracle baby, Edward Duke Rancic, born Aug 29. But after failed IVF treatments, breast cancer and a double mascetomy, the Fashion Police host said leaving her son to go to work is the hardest.

“It’s really hard to leave the baby,” she said on the Dec. 11 season finale of Giuliana & Bill. “I already feel like I’m having major separation anxiety.”

And in the months since the season wrapped, it hasn’t gotten much easier.

“I could give you the Hollywood answer and just say it’s been great going back to work, but the real answer is, it is hard,” she confessed to Life & Style magazine. “What’s important now is different from what was important a few months ago.”

Even though Giuliana’s career is hotter than ever — she’s the host of E! News, Fashion Police, has the sucessful clothing line G by Giuliana Rancic and stars in the reality show Giuliana & Bill with her hubby — she is seriously contemplating putting it all behind to spend more time with her baby boy.

“The other morning, I was having the best time with Duke, and he was making faces that I had never seen before and was being so cute. Then I looked at the clock and I had to go to work,” she told the magazine. “So I keep thinking, ‘am I going to miss something?’”

But as hard as it is being a working mom, Giuliana revealed that she is still going to juggle her high-powered career and being mom. “I’m going to make sure I dn’t sacrifice anything,” she told the magazine.

Giuliana Rancic can’t stop showing off her 6-week-old baby boy Edward Duke Rancic – and with those big eyes, who can blame her? She and husband Bill Rancic‘s son was born on Aug. 29, and he’s already getting so big!

Giuliana and Bill, who famously had trouble getting pregnant — complicated even further by Giuliana’s breast cancer diagnosis — welcomed their little boy via a gestational carrier.

With a hint of a smile on his face and his big round eyes, “The Duke,” as his dad likes to call him, shows how his takes after his famous parents in these photos that Giuliana shared with E! Online on Oct. 16.

Life has certainly changed for the E! News anchor. Shortly after Duke was born, Giuliana tweeted her joy at finally becoming a mommy.

“It’s true what they say (and what u all told us)…. @BillRancic and I couldn’t love little Duke anymore than we do. He’s a dream,” she wrote.

In the new photo, Duke takes after his glamorous and stylish mom and wears a cute blue Burberry romper. This little tyke certainly won’t end up on the worst dressed list on Fashion Police!

Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill Rancic have been longing to be parents for years, so when baby Edward Duke Rancic arrived on Aug. 29, the first-time parents were already extremely prepared — especially for their boy’s future health.

“You think of all the obvious things: the nursery, the stroller, the car seat… But then we also started thinking about some maybe not-so-obvious ways to prepare, like cord blood banking,” Giuliana and Bill wrote in their blog on People.com.

They said they were introduced to cord blood banking about 12 years ago when Giuliana’s first niece was born, and after Giuliana’s sister and their own OBGYN recommended banking, did their own research and visited the lab where Edward Duke’s blood would be stored.

“Some parents might ask us why we banked. After our own health scares and all that we went through to finally get pregnant, it was a no-brainer for us. We’ve always taken charge of our own health and wanted to do the same for our son even before he was born,” they added.

The reality couple said that because of the medial options it provides for their son, they wanted to store his stem cells in case they would ever need them — although, they added, they hope they never do.

Stem cells can be used to treat different kinds of cancers and blood disorders, including leukemia, sickle cell anemia, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Most moms take their newborn’s nap time as a much-needed break, but not Giuliana Rancic – she actually tapes her baby Edward Duke Rancic, born Aug. 29, with her iPhone while he’s snoozing!

The star of Giuliana & Bill spoke to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY on Sept. 21 at the HSN studios in Tampa, Fl., about why she tapes her little man when he’s asleep.

“You can’t make a newborn laugh by something they do. But when they’re sleeping they can have dreams and these feelings that make them laugh,” she said.

“So they do smile, but it’s not like because you’ve made them smile, that’s the second month. So when he sleeps, he laughs, and I get to see how he laughs.”

She said Edward Duke does laugh and smiles big when he’s snoozing, and she wants to capture those precious moments to watch over and over!

“I’ll just sit there with my iPhone and I’ll tape them for like an hour and I keep starting new files because he’s not doing anything and I wait for him to laugh. So I have a couple of files where he laughs, it’s sweet. And so I watch them on planes and stuff it just cracks me up. I think when he laughs its the cutest. So cute. He’s the cutest thing ever.

Giuliana Rancic is one busy mama, but her favorite job so far is just that — being a mom to 3-week-old Edward Duke Rancic!

HollywoodLife.com caught up with the fashion designer at the Do it for the Girls! breast cancer awareness event at the Gansevoort Park Hotel in New York City on Sept. 20, and she dished on why she’s obsessed with being a mom.

“Oh my God, it’s the greatest thing in the world,” she gushed. “It’s just been — I knew it was going to be good, don’t get me wrong — it’s been so much better than I thought. It’s just so nice having this life that you’re responsible for. It’s crazy, but it’s wonderful.”

She loves it so much, in fact, that she’s already thinking about having more kids!

“I’d love a lot of kids, so we’ll see. Now he just turned three weeks old yesterday, so we want to enjoy him,” Giuliana said, although she added she wants to spend a good amount of quality time with her little man before she thinks about having more.

As far as her battle with cancer goes, the E! News anchor said she is in better health than ever!

“I go to the doctor every 3 months, and so far so good,” she said. “I’m definitely very fortunate, because I did find it very early.”
