It’s official: Eva Longoria is a single girl once again! A source close to the Desperate Housewives beauty tells Us Weekly that Eva, 36, and Eduardo Cruz made the “mutual decision” to part ways after dating for a year. “They are staying friends,” according to the source.

But don’t expect Eva to spend her days sulking over Penelope Cruz‘s younger brother! The source says Eve will be busy “focusing on work and the end of Desperate Housewives.”

“The big moment came while they were cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht with his sister Penelope Cruz and her husband Javier Bardem, in July,” claims Star. “And they even plan to wed later this year.”

A source tells the magazine of the couple-of-six-months, “After he proposed, Eva and Eduardo jumped into the water together.”

But a source told HollywoodLife.com on Wednesday morning that Star‘s story “isn’t true.”

This isn’t the first time reports of engagement have surfaced. On August 18, OK! claimed the pair were also engaged, prompting Eva’s rep to deny the couple had any plans to marry.

Regardless, Eva and Eduardo are head-over-heels.. Says Star‘s source: “They’ve found their soul mate in each other.”

The happy news means the actress’ baby son Leo will have an uncle or aunt a year YOUNGER than him. Confused?

Penelope Cruz‘s 59-year-old father Eduardo Cruz Sr. has announced his partner Carmen Moreno, 37, is expecting a baby next spring! The baby will be Eduardo Sr’s fourth — besides Penelope, 37, he has another daughter, Monica and a son, Eduardo Jr, who’s currently dating Eva Longoria!

The older kids are all from Eduardo Sr’s marriage to his estranged wife Encarna Sánchez.

“Penelope believes Eva is nothing more than a fame-hungry, bad B-list actress who is using Eduardo in an effort to further her career,” revealed a source to the Enquirer.

Penelope thinks her bother can do a lot better and has no plans to welcome Eva into the family.

Newly single Eva Longoria isn’t just rebounding with one man, she has at least two!

Eva Longoria is not reconciling with soon to be ex-husband Tony Parker just yet! In fact she’s moving on and already back out playing the field with Penelope Cruz’s much younger brother, Eduardo Cruz, and Entourage‘s Kevin Connolly.

Eduardo, 25, and Eva, 25, have been heating things up at her home as neighbors have witnessed the pair together in Eva’s garage in the early hours of the morning with Eva donning nothing more than a short white robe. A source reportedly says, “They were clearly very comfortable with each other. They started rummaging around in Eva’s Range Rover getting some bags out.”

Eduardo has been spotted regularly at Eva’s house but has been sneaking out before too many prying eyes see their budding romance. “He’s there at least three nights out of every four- he turns up and he leaves the next morning.
