Joshua Rendon told TMZ that though the pregnancy was unexpected, the couple is “extremely excited for the baby.” He says Ebony Jackson-Rendon is 10 weeks pregnant.

Ebony and Josh were arrested in September after the Department of Human Services raided their Jacksonville, Arkansas home and found feces, flies and maggots covering the premises.

Police also found marijuana and drug paraphernalia at their home, and subsequently arrested the couple — charging them with endangering the welfare of a minor possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premise and unauthorized use of another’s property to facilitate a crime.

TMZ reports DHS still has custody of Ebony and Joshua’s daughter Jocelyn, 2, with the couple seeing her only during supervised visits. Their case is still pending.

Ebony entered rehab in November to get psychological help for having suicidal thoughts and self-harming with marijuana.

Ebony’s father, Anthony reveals that she’s seriously she’s trying to get her life back together after self harming with marijuana, being arrested and losing custody of her daughter Jocelyn, 2!

16 and Pregnant star Ebony Jackson-Rendon is finally seeking psychological help after the Jacksonville, Ark. Police Department and the Department of Health Services raided her home on Sept. 12, arrested her and her husband Joshua for endangering the welfare of a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia and took her 2-year-old daughter Jocelyn away from her. Ebony checked into rehab for her second time!

“Her state of mind is good,” her father Anthony Jackson Sr. tells Star magazine. “She has her ups and downs.”

Ebony, 19, went into treatment for one week in September following the shocking arrest. “They put her on medication and released her, and I didn’t feel you can give her help in a week’s time and then she’s better,” says Anthony. “She needs to continue getting help.”

After the Sept. 12 events, Ebony told HollyBaby.com exclusively that she had been suffering from suicidal thoughts after having a miscarriage earlier in the summer. At the time Ebony spoke to Hollywoodlife.com, she said that she would be seeking “therapy to find the right depression medication.”

“I was just doing it to self harm,” Ebony also told us about her marijuana use.

It’s good to hear that Ebony is trying hard to get back on track.

It will be at least 30 days before Josh and Ebony can get their 2-year-old daughter Jocelyn back!

The Jacksonville, Ark. Police Department raided the home of 16 & Pregnant stars Ebony Jackson-Rendon and her husband Joshua Rendon on Sept. 20. Ebony and Josh were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a minor (their 2-year-old daughter Jocelyn) and possession of drug paraphernalia and Jocelyn was taken away. When HollyBaby.com spoke with Ebony on Sept. 21, she told us exclusively that Jocelyn’s in foster care, but that they plan to sign custody over to Ebony’s own mother or Josh’s parents. Now, DHS explains to HollyBaby.com the process involved in child abuse and neglect cases similar to Jocelyn’s!

“Anyone can call into our child abuse hot line. The case is accepted for investigation,” Amy Webb, Director of Communication at Arkansas DHS tells us. “Our case workers go out and our number one priority is to assess the safety of the child. If our case workers believe the child is not safe, we can place them on a 72 hour hold and take them into our care.”

When the child is taken away from the home, DHS tries to place the child with another family member. “We make that effort because we believe that it’s better for the child to be with a family member they know,” explains Amy. “It’s already traumatic enough to be taken from your home. We want to try and make the transition as easy as possible for the child. We try to do that on the front end [of the investigation].”

Next, DHS has to deal with a series of court hearings. “We have 30 days to complete an abuse or neglect investigation,” reveals Amy. “Within 72 hours of taking the child into our care, we go to court and make a verbal request for an emergency court order to keep the child. If the judge rules that we can take emergency custody, then we have five days to go before a judge for a probable cause hearing. During that hearing the judge will decide if the safety concerns still do exist. If the judge decides they do exist, then we will continue to have custody of the child until we have a full hearing.”

During the 30 day period, DHS does all they can to investigate the circumstances of the case. “We serve as a safety net for the child, so we look at their environment, the home, we assess the safety issues that took us there to begin with,” says Amy. “We may interview the child, we may interview others who know the child or the family. We may interview the parents.”

Overall, DHS just wants to establish “if the child is returned to the home, will they be safe?” They also really try to reunite families.

So for the next month, Josh and Ebony not only have to get their acts together — but prove that they can take care of Jocelyn. If they don’t, they won’t get their daughter back!

Ebony explains to HollyBaby.com exclusively she has been battling suicidal thoughts since losing an unborn baby, that the fecal mess in her house was caused by ‘having a litter of puppies’ and admits that synthetic marijuana found in her house was hers, not Josh’s.

On the eve of Sept. 19, the Jacksonville, Ark. Police Department and the Department of Health Services raided the home of former 16 & Pregnant stars Ebony Jackson-Rendon and her husband Joshua Rendon. Ebony and Josh were arrested on charges of endangering the welfare of a minor (their 2-year-old daughter Jocelyn) and possession of drug paraphernalia. DHS also took Jocelyn from their home and placed her in temporary foster care. Ebony opens up to HollyBaby.com exclusively about the terrifying raid and the events that led to losing Jocelyn.

“My house was raided last night and my daughter was taken from me,” Ebony tells us. “I had been suffering with depression. I lost a kid, so I’ve been going through my own personal problems and so I haven’t been able to be the wife, mom that I’m supposed to be.”

“Neither of us wanted any of this to happen,” continues Ebony. “One of my old friends [called us in] and she reported a lot of false things.”

In the police report, the arresting officers described the house as being covered by “human and dog feces.” Ebony blames the mess on the fact that the family just had puppies born in the house. “We just had a litter of six puppies and got rid of the last one prior to everyone busting into our house,” explains Ebony. “A litter of puppies of course is going to damage your floor and that’s exactly what we were putting up with.”

“We never have our house that dirty,” she adds. “Our daughter never lives like that. Our daughter is always taken care of. She will always be taken care of. Our daughter always comes first in our lives and I don’t want anyone to think that we are just a couple of drug heads because we’re not.”

Also according to the report, one gram of synthetic marijuana was found. “It was mine,” says Ebony. “It had nothing to do with Josh. It was all mine and I was just doing it to self harm … after the loss of my son, I just lost him two months ago.”

Ebony says her emotional woes were caused by the loss of an unborn son. “I’ve been depressed, anxious, dealing with the loss of [the baby]. I was already hospitalized at the beginning of June — for suicide prevention.”

But the police raid and seeing Jocelyn taken away was a rude awakening. “I was just thinking I really shouldn’t have messed up,” says Ebony. “Everybody messes up, but I never had it in my house prior to that. And yes I did smoke it heavily after I lost [the baby], but I never had any marijuana in my house. I want everyone to know that. It was just out of depression that we would even let the house go, let everything go. We were not ourselves. We finally got snapped back into ourselves last night. Our house is never like that. It got like that in the past month because Arkansas is really bad with flies. It’s hard to get them out of my house.”

Ebony and Josh both made bail for $8,000 each. Their daughter Jocelyn is in a foster home until the court date on Sept. 26. At that point, Ebony and Josh plan to sign custody of Jocelyn over to either Ebony’s mother or Josh’s parents as they try “to get [their] lives straight.”

Josh is facing an honorable discharge from the Air Force, but the couple plan to move to Colorado where they will focus on rebuilding their lives.

“I’m going to go back to therapy to find the right depression medication,” admits Ebony. “I just want to let all of our fans know we are sorry for letting them down and for letting Jocelyn down.”

The arrest report reads that ‘every room inside the residence had human and dog feces on the floors, walls and clothing!’ How HORRIFYING!

This is completely disturbing! Former 16 & Pregnant stars Ebony Jackson-Rendon, 19, and her husband Joshua Rendon, 19, were arrested on Sept. 20 when the Department of Human Services (DHS) raided their Jacksonville, Arkansas. home and found fecal matter covering the premises. Ebony and Josh were both slammed with four charges: endangering the welfare of a minor (their 2-year-old daughter, Jocelyn), possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug premise and unauthorized use of anothers property to facilitate a crime. And, too top it all off, DHS took Jocelyn into their custody!

Someone called to complain about the living conditions of the house to DHS, and when police entered on a warrant, that’s when they found the home in such disgusting conditions. “Every room in the residence had human and dog feces on the floors, walls and clothing,” reads the arrest report. “The house was full of flies and in some areas, maggots.”

Police also found “1 gram of synthetic marijuana along with several empty packages of synthetic marijuana [and] paraphernalia in the form of a variety of smoking devices (pipes).

Little Jocelyn was immediately taken — and animal control “retrieved” three family dogs.
