Experts fear an anorexia epidemic among VERY YOUNG children, after shocking new figures show how many tiny tots are obsessed with their weight!
Almost 200 kids aged between five and nine were treated for eating disorders in the UK in the last three years! And that’s just the severe cases who were admitted to the hospital!
HollywoodLife.com chats with Sherry Gaba about young Hollywood and addiction!
Sherry Gaba has plenty of hands-on experience analyzing superstar psyche as the resident life coach on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew. When she sees young stars struggling with the demons of addiction and outside pressure, Sherry can only urge them to find the professional help they so desperately need.
With the frantic pacing of fame, Sherry says it is no surprise that stars such as Demi Lovato, 18, turn to outlets such as harming themselves to stay grounded. Self-mutilation is especially common with young people and is often triggered by trauma, abandonment, abuse or neglect. “Cutters feel out of control in life,” Gaba says. “Something in your life is complete chaos and the only way to deal with that is to make yourself feel bad.”
With growing concern about childhood obesity, are these moms and dads overreacting to the size of their children? Would you put your baby on a diet?
Remember when it was a good thing for your baby to have chubby cheeks and a rosy glow? Well, that time may be over, thanks to growing concerns about having overweight children. More and more parents are putting their babies and toddlers on strict diets. “I don’t want her to have any of the problems that I had: the self-consciousness, health issues,” says Jodi Hasan, who carefully manages her 18-month-old daughter Maya‘s diet because Jodi herself has long struggled with weight issues. “I want her to have good self-esteem.”
After trashing a hotel room, Charlie Sheen could be facing another stay in rehab. While he may be getting help, experts tell HollyBaby that the damage has already been done to his daughters Sam and Lola. In fact, Charlie’s antics could be making his girls physically ill.
Just hours after Charlie Sheen destroyed his hotel room, his ex-wife Denise Richards, who was sleeping in the next room with their daughters Lola and Sam, spoke out about the incident. While the 38-year-old insists that both girls are oblivious to what their daddy did, experts disagree and warn that little Sam, 6, and Lola, 5, are losing out on having a normal childhood — and are in danger of having low self-esteem as well as other psychological issues, thanks to Charlie’s historically bad behavior.
