Donald Cerrone (born Donald Anthony Cerrone on March 29, 1983 in Denver, Colorado) is an American professional mixed martial artist and former professional kickboxer. Donald was a troubled kid while growing up in Denver, as he would often get into fights with the other students. He attended the Air Academy High School, where he began an interest in professional bull riding. Donald took up kickboxing in his sophomore year, and he compiled an undefeated amateur record of 13-0. He later turned professional, leaving kickboxing with an undefeated 28-0 record and 18 first-round knockout wins. Donald began fighting MMA in World Extreme Cagefighting, winning his first fight under a minute with a submission. Donald’s success with WEC led him to make his UFC debut in 2010. Though Donald suffered his losses, by 2016, he had an impressive record of 29 wins and 7 losses. He was named 2011’s Breakthrough Fighter of the Year by the World MMA Awards. In 2016, he volunteered to replace Rafael dos Anjos after he pulled out of his fight with Conor McGregor.

He holds the record for most post-fight bonuses, after securing 16 total Fight, Performance, Knockout and Submission of the nights. He is also known for being the “busiest” fighter in the UFC, having at least 4 fights per year since 2013.
