It’s pretty much a given that Taylor Swift, 23, can rock absolutely any hairstyle. From her lush mane of curls to her sleek, edgy strands, we love it when Taylor lets her hair down. So it’s no surprise that she looks fantastic as Disney’s most follicly-blessed princess, Rapunzel!

Taylor is the latest celeb to snag an amazing artsy ad campaign for Disney Parks. The tagline for this enchanting promo is “Where A World of Adventure Awaits.” Any girl who grew up loving Disney princesses would be giddy at the chance to channel an iconic beauty, and Taylor is no exception: ”When Disney came to me and said we want you to play Rapunzel, I was just so honored,” she gushed. “It’s such a wonderful character to get to play, a childhood fantasy come into reality for me.”

Taylor’s hair is inevitably the focal point of every one of her looks. Even with all her hair curling and straightening, we’re thinking that constantly changing up her hair must still be less maintenance than taking care of Rapunzel’s tangled locks! Imagine the morning brushing routine that Rapunzel’s mile-long tresses must warrant!

While Taylor now uses her songwriting and performing to work through difficult times, she recalls that Disney Parks had the same escapist effect on her when she was growing up: ”I think about all the times me and my little brother went to Disney World and we were able to escape to that place anytime we had a hard time. Any time you’re going through something rough, you can go back into your imagination and you’re at Disney World.” We love that she gets to be a visual part of the Disney magic.

Regardless of how we all feel about the latest Star Wars films and all the awful thoughts of Jar Jar Binks, the legendary series has a place in all of our hearts. Now Disney and Lucasfilm are continuing the franchise with an announced Episode 7 which is maybe the biggest surprise and well kept secret in the history of film!

Disney has completed the purchase of Lucasfilm and in the press release a very interesting nugget of information has been released that will make fanboys be giddy in anticipation as it mentions, “[New Lucasfilm president Kathleen] Kennedy will serve as executive producer on new Star Wars feature films, with George Lucas serving as creative consultant. Star Wars Episode 7 is targeted for release in 2015, with more feature films expected to continue the Star Wars saga and grow the franchise well into the future.”

George added, “For the past 35 years, one of my greatest pleasures has been to see Star Wars passed from one generation to the next. It’s now time for me to pass Star Wars on to a new generation of filmmakers. I’ve always believed that Star Wars could live beyond me, and I thought it was important to set up the transition during my lifetime. I’m confident that with Lucasfilm under the leadership of Kathleen Kennedy, and having a new home within the Disney organization, Star Wars will certainly live on and flourish for many generations to come. Disney’s reach and experience give Lucasfilm the opportunity to blaze new trails in film, television, interactive media, theme parks, live entertainment, and consumer products.”

One thing to note, a film of this magnitude will get the entire A-List community out in droves, as everyone will want to be a part of the franchise that has defined generations. So it will be very interesting to see if HollywoodLife favorites Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would be a part of such an amazing film. Only time will tell.

According to BBC reports, half of the 2,000 parents surveyed thought that classic fairy tales, such as Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks, were too scary for preschoolers! So who’s afraid of the big bad wolf?

So what’s wrong with the fairy tales that so many Disney movies are based on? Some parents dislike that in Snow White and Cinderella the princesses are motherless and suffer at the hands of cruel stepmothers. Goldilocks and the Three Bears supports theft and trespassing, while Red Riding Hood includes kidnapping.

These stories weren’t originally meant for children — they were actually considered adult entertainment when they were written! It was only in Victorian times that grownups actually started sharing them as bedtime stories.

From the Queen in Snow White attempting murder with a poisonous apple, Rapunzel getting locked away in a tower against her will, and Rumplestilkin kidnapping and extorting the miller’s daughter, the themes do seem mature. While these example are all true of the written stories, most kids remember Disney’s version, which for the most part have been revised.

Each Disney story is always has a “happily-ever-after.” Through all the struggle, comes good things. Although Snow White is almost murdered, she learns not to talk to strangers. Cinderella is kind, so in the end she marries the prince, and her dreams come true. In Disney’s Rapunzel we see a young woman, who has a dream. She follows her heart to find out who she really is and escapes her captivity.

Yes, some of the Disney versions still have cruel stepmothers, life and death situations and kidnappings, but they also include talking animals, fairy-godmothers and magical hair. They are fairy tales — a story already classified as fake and non-realistic. It’s up to the parent to stress this to their preschoolers.

Debby Ryan is perhaps best known for playing Jessie in the monster hit Disney Channel comedy series, Jessie, or as Bailey Pickett on the long-running Disney Channel series, The Suite Life on Deck. But things have changed with her turn as Tara Adams in Radio Rebel, a shy homebody high school junior who reinvents herself as the most popular radio DJ in town.

Unfortunately for her character, that is right when all the problems begin. Her popularity results in a handful of twists and turns when her secret alter ego threatens the status of her prom, her friendships and her chance with the love of her life, Gavin, who is played by Adam DiMarco.

“Radio Rebel to me is kind of this voice of empowerment; she is kind of the person within you that is usually overpowered by insecurity, by uncertainty or by trends and fads and wanting to be accepted,” Debby told HollywoodLife.com during an exclusive interview.

“It really just says that what’s within you and what’s kind of different and unique about you is really rad, really cool and that is what makes you so awesome and so beautiful!”
