We spoke with the Jersey Shore‘s hot new cast member Deena, she gave us insight into how things roll at the Jersey Shore house!

HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively with MTV’s Jersey Shore star, Deena Cortese — who’s also been know as a ’walking holiday’ and ‘class in a glass’ — and she opened up about her tumultuous relationship with her BFF Sammi, her love life (she’s single!) and what she plans on teaching the men in Italy.

In the first episode of season three, we got to see Deena full throttle, drunk, dancing, and getting into an all out screaming match with Sammi!  But since then, she and Sammi have patched things over.

Deena told us exclusively, “Sammi and I are really close, we are probably the closest. I probably talk to Sammi the most in the house now. Sometimes the people that you fight with end up being your best friends.”

My, how things changed since the beginning of the season!

Unlike Deena and Sammi, Ronnie and Sammi’s fights have just gotten nastier by the episode. Deena told us it’s hard to witness — in person AND on TV — because both parties are like brother and sister to her.

“[It's] very intense,” she said, explaining, “I’m very close with Ronnie & Sammi and I see how it tears them apart separately. I lived it, but then re watching it is so hard.  And its hard for them to watch, too. Its really weird, I’m always there for Sammi.”

Now that things have calmed down a bit, the cast is gearing up for season four in… Italy! Deena said she hasn’t mastered Italian yet, but she plans on trying to nail down a few things.

“I want to at least try to learn it before Italy,” she said. “I was in Spanish for three years and I can’t tell you one thing I’ve learned, languages don’t really process with me. I definitely have to know directions. I want to say ‘walking holiday’ and ‘class in a glass’, maybe teach those Italian boys what a class in a glass is!”

Pauly D and Ronnie have said they’ll be using The Rosetta Stone to learn Italian, which is a concept that still mystifies Deena.

“Everyone seems to know what the Rosetta Stone is!” she said. “I don’t know, maybe I need to get this thing, and you know sleep with it under my pillow or something.”

But beyond learning Italian, what else does a guidette do in the home country? Deena knows exactly what she’d like. “Maybe I’ll meet a hot Italian guy there!” she admitted, smiling.

Italy is at least a couple months away, but Valentine’s Day is next week and Deena is planning to keep it simple.  Although she gets asked out on dates, but she said, “I’m single.  But I’m really busy so I don’t need someone holding me down right now.”

On Valentine’s Day she’s planning to kick it with her girls or some tight guy friend in New Jersey and keeping things close to home. Her final words to us? “I’m just rolling with the punches right now.”
