Dancing With The Stars producers are looking for the perfect celeb cast for Season 16, which kicks off March 18, and we’ve got the perfect candidate! Deena Cortese, 26, is out to prove she can do more than just the “jersey turnpike”! Check out our exclusive interview with her below!

HollywoodLife.com: Have you always been a fan of the show?

Deena: Yes, I’ve always been a huge fan of the show. I remember when it first went on the air, I never missed an episode. I thought Cheryl Burke was so freaking cute and she could dance her butt off!

What are your favorite dance moves?

I mean, I would say Jersey Turnpiking! No, just joking. I love Salsa, I think it’s such a sexy genre of dancing. It’s super seductive and lots of fun. I love shaking my behind. I also love hip hop! If I were on the show and I made it to the end, that would be my freestyle of choice!

Have you ever taken professional dance lessons?

Yes, I actually did dance throughout my childhood. I was even captain of my dance team. Dancing is what I love to do, it makes me so happy and relieves so much stress for me. I stop taking dance for a while and I miss it. I’d love to dance for eight hours a day!

Deena Cortese Talks About Her Ideal ‘Dancing’ Partner

Honestly, whichever dancer is the shortest, I’d be happy to dance with! I’m really short and can’t extend my arms that high. Maybe someone like Mark Ballas.

What other celebs would you like to compete against on the show?

If I had to choose another celeb, it would have to be Big Ang from Mob Wives. She is so cute and fun! She would be so amazing and tough to compete against. I think she’d give me a challenge.

Are you the best dancer in The Jersey Shore Cast?

Yes, I think I’m the best dancer! Since I love it so much, it has to be me. Even if I fall a lot, I still get up and show my best dance moves. Come on, I got in trouble for dancing in the street — I have to be the best dancer!

Every episode of Jersey Shore is filled with drama and housemate Deena Cortese definitely had her share of hard times this season — she was arrested for being drunk and disorderly, had major anxiety being away from her boyfriend, and lost her party animal “meatball” — partner-in-crime, Snooki Polizzi, who was pregnant while the show taped. Deena Talks Weight Loss

Deena recently dropped some weight and looked even more amazing on this season of Jersey Shore. Her new favorite workout? Pole dancing!

Deena tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that to get the confidence to try the workout, you just have to go for it! “To get over the fear, you just have to take a chance and try it out. You never know if you like something until you try it. You have to look deep inside yourself and find the sexpot in you and you’ll have the courage to twirl on the pole. Pole Dancing makes me feel sexy and athletic at the same time which in working out is hard to do. It’s a great workout and I always leave a class walking with an extra strut in my hips.”

How Deena’s Helping Restore the Shore After Hurricane Sandy

Deena also told us all about the work she is doing to help repair the shore after Hurricane Sandy’s devastation. We love how involved she is with so many amazing projects!

Tonight’s episode of Jersey Shore promises to be explosive, as viewers will see resident meatball Deena Cortese get arrested for being drunk and disorderly. Sound familiar? The moment draws striking similarities to when Snooki Polizzi was arrested in season 3 for the same crime.

In a sneak peak of tonight’s episode, viewers will see Deena get very drunk in a bar with Sammi Sweetheart and Ronnie Ortiz, and then proceed to wander along the boardwalk looking intoxicated and disorientated. This all happens in broad daylight, and Sammi says “Deena is so wasted right now, she can barely stand”. Just like her best friend Snooki back in the day, Deena can barely speak and even falls over, until she is arrested and taken away by the police.

Yikes! Perhaps since Deena likes to copy Snooki, she could take a page out of her book and settle down and stop partying. Either way, we are pretty excited to see what will unfold in tonight’s Jersey Shore!

Deena Cortese got more than she bargained for when she when for a dip. The reality star hit the shore on June 20 and couldn’t help but laugh when her polka dot bikini bottoms slipped off!

Deena has been shooting MTV’s Jersey Shore for the past few weeks and she looks like she’s in the best shape we’ve seen yet. But her bikini bottoms just couldn’t manage to stay on!

This comes right as Snooki and JWoww‘s reality show is set to debut on MTV on June 21. Maybe Deena is seeking attention since the spotlight has been on her co-stars?

Any speculation about the Jersey Shore being a snooze next season has been put to rest after recent affairs.

Deena Cortese was arrested for disorderly conduct on June 10, according to TMZ.

Deena clearly looked intoxicated during the arrest — a flashback to Snooki’s debacle in July 2010 when she was arrested for being too drunk on the shore.

Deena’s arrest comes after a wild weekend in which her co-stars Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro were all involved in a bar brawl.

Deena was spotted leaving the Seaside Heights police department with her parents on June 10.

On Feb. 9 Jersey Shore stars Sammi Giancola and Deena Cortese chatted with Kelly Ripa and guest co-host Jerry O’Connell about their guidette lifestyle — starting with their tans. 

“I’m actually pale right now!” screamed Deena, rolling up her sleeves to give the audience a peek of her “pasty” skin. Sammi chimed in saying, ”This is bronzer, and my regular Greek and Italian skin.”

As for the two oranginas’ love lives, Sammi claimed that her on-and-off relationship with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was (at least at that second) off. “I am single, but he’s my best friend,” she said adding, “I think we just matured; we watched the seasons and grew up.”

But unlike Single Sam, Deena’s a taken woman, now that she seeing her new beau, Chris Buckner. ”I’ve been dating him for 6 months…and it’s been awesome!” she said.

The roomies’ smushing love lives aside, what everyone really wants to know is: Will there be a Jersey Shore season 6?

“We haven’t heard of anything,” Deena said. “I want to do a season six! I love filming!“

“You get salary, you go out, and you party?” asked Kelly, (which seemed to us more like a judgment rather than a sincere question).

But Deena didn’t notice either way. “Kids go down the Shore, and that’s what we do!” she laughed.

“It’s like vacation!” added Sammi.

With each cast member getting paid about $100,000 per episode, we’d love to be on that vacation, too!

You’d think Deena, Snooki and the gang would be totally sad to leave their wild Italian nights behind right? Not a chance!
