Vivian Bowers’ killer will finally be revealed on the March 18 season finale of Deception, but the show’s stars assure HollywoodLife.com that there are plenty of other surprises fans can anticipate in the coming weeks. Victor Garber, Katherine LaNasa and Ella Rae Peck recently met with the press to spill secrets about the upcoming episodes — and trust me, they didn’t give ‘em up easily.

Vivian’s Killer Will Be Revealed

Despite what many fans assume, the cast hasn’t known the identity of Vivian’s killer since day one. In fact, the stars were only recently clued in, and even they aren’t sure if they have the whole story.

“We found out when we read the last script, but it went through some changes; so even for us, it’s a little open-ended as to how it went down,” Katherine said. “We didn’t know who it was going to be. I was hoping it’d be me. I was looking forward to making someone my bitch in prison. That would have been a really good story line.”

Sofia Gets Down

And if you thought Sofia’s fights were limited to the racquetball court, you just wait. During the press lunch, Katherine’s finger was in a tiny cast thanks to an on-set injury she suffered while filming a Dynasty-style throw down.

“There’s some good stuff coming up,” she assured us. “I don’t know if you’ve seen this [gesturing to her finger], but it’s from the last episode. My big fight scene that I have. In heels. … You should see the other guy.

Mia’s Daddy Issues

Just when you thought Mia’s relationship with Haverstock (John Larroquette) couldn’t get any more complicated, Mia’s genetically-flawless boyfriend Kyle (David A. Gregory) gets thrown into the mix. As it turns out, things can still get way more complicated.

“At first, I’m a little curious,” Ella told us of Mia’s relationship to biological father. “There’s so much craziness going on in my own family that to hear I have someone else is sort of interesting. I think, at first, I want to see what he’s all about, and see if he’s someone I can trust. In the next episode, I find out a little more about his involvement with Kyle. It’s not a positive situation.”

Will ‘Deception’ Get A Second Season?

The only mystery bigger than “Who killed Vivian Bowers?” is definitely whether or not Deception will receive a second-season renewal. Despite a slew of internet naysayers, Victor told the press he’s confident that the show has plenty of life in it yet.

“NBC is behind the show, we’ve felt that from the very beginning,” he said. “And we are building. Every week, we’ve gotten more people. … I also think it’s the nature of television. People don’t watch TV like they used to. … The DVR numbers for our show have increased 40 percent. We’re growing, and we’ve very optimistic we’re having another season.”

Joanna (Meagan Good) and Will (Laz Alonso) may be working together to expose the Bowers, but in HollywoodLife.com‘s exclusive clip from the March 4 episode of Deception, they seem more like bitter enemies! Not only does Will tell Joanna to stay close to Robert (Victor Garber), even though she’s afraid the Bowers patriarch will kill her at any minute, but he also implies she’s letting her feelings for Julian (Wes Brown) cloud her judgment. Actually, it’s less of an implication and more of a straight-up accusation.

Needless to say, this sudden turn in the conversation doesn’t sit well with Joanna. After attempting — and failing — to argue back, she resorts to Plan B: telling Will to screw himself, then storming off.

Nice, Joanna. Real nice.

More ‘Deception’ Spoilers From Season 1, Episode 9

Every episode of Deception is twisted and stressful, but the March 4 installment — ominously titled “Good Luck With Your Death” — sounds particularly intense.

Not only does Robert begin to suspect that Joanna could be more than just Vivian’s childhood friends, but he enlists the help of a surprising new ally to learn the truth: Joanna’s mom, Beverly! Yes, he flies her ailing mother all the way to New York for a visit — one I’m sure no one will ever forget.

Meanwhile, Joanna discovers some “suspicious information” when she goes digging into Julian’s girlfriend’s past. Equally shocking is the discover Mia (Ella Rae Peck) makes after she agrees to donate her bone marrow to Haverstock.

There are many words I would use to describe Sofia Bowers (Katherine LaNasa): cold, manipulative and psychotic — to name just a few. But ”maternal” is certainly not one of those words, which is why this new clip from the Feb. 4 episode of NBC’s Deception, obtained exclusively by HollywoodLife.com, makes me super uncomfortable.

On the heels of Mia’s (Ella Rae Peck) debutante ball, Sofia pays a visit to her “daughter” to dispense some “motherly” advice — she tries to convince her to forget about Kyle (David A. Gregory), as she’s going to have “so many men” after her — as well as to pass down her grandmother’s pearl necklace.

And this scene appears to be the calm before the storm, as the official description for the episode teases that “a shattering revelation goes public on the night of Mia’s debutante ball.” My guess is that Mia might finally be learning the truth about her paternity, that Vivian (Bree Williamson) was actually her mother, and not her sister as she’s been led to believe.

Nobody likes being ambushed with questions on the street — especially when the questions are “Did your brother kill your sister?” and “Did you know your sister was a junkie?” So you can imagine how Julian (Wes Brown) feels about the swarm of paparazzi bugging him in HollywoodLife.com‘s exclusive clip from the Jan. 21 episode of Deception. Not great.

In fact, he quickly takes the Edward (Tate Donovan) route by man-handling one of the reporters, which really only incites the mob even more. Fortunately, Joanna (Meagan Good) is waiting in the wings to save the day. And by “waiting,” I obviously mean “lurking,” because that’s what Joanna does. She lurks.

Joanna manages to keep Julian out of too much trouble, but she’s forced to let loose her inner law enforcement officer to do so, which prompts an expectedly confused reaction from her man in distress.

And because no scene between Julian and Joanna can end without an incredible amount of overt sexual tension, Julian suggests that Joanna should become his “personal bodyguard.” And he says it with his eyes.

What’s Next For Joanna & The Bowers Family?

Deception‘s Jan. 21 episode, ominously titled “A Drop Of Blood And A Microscope,” also brings Joanna closer to both Samantha (Marin Hinkle) and Julian, though her experiences with the two aren’t exactly even. Meanwhile, Edward is fired from Bowers’ Pharmaceutical, and a mysterious newbie shakes up Mia’s (Ella Rae Peck) world.

Then, on the Jan. 28 episode, Joanna finds out Julian is keeping a secret about the night Vivian (Bree Williamson) was murdered. Plus, Edward gets more “disturbing news,” and Mia’s new boyfriend gets introduced to the family.

Why we’re excited: Remember when this show used to be about discovering talent? Neither do we! Between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, the judges are going to be seated at the most dramatic table since the infamous dinner on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Prepare to see some flipping.

The Bachelor (Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. on ABC)
Why we’re excited: Who cares that the winning couple will indefinitely break up shortly after the season ends? We’re going to be glued to ABC’s addictive dating hit for the long haul, even if just for the gratuitous shirtless shots of new Bachelor Sean Lowe. If the season premiere is any indication, we’re in for a skin-tastic spring.

The Carrie Diaries (Jan. 14 at 8 p.m. on The CW)
Why we’re excited: The CW’s Gossip Girl replacement will take you on a sweet, colorful ride through Carrie Bradshaw’s pre-fabulous days — in and out of Manhattan. AnnaSophia Robb is adorable, and we’re total suckers for the ’80s nostalgia, so bring it!

Deception (Jan. 7 at 10 p.m. on NBC)
Why we’re excited: This twisty, turny drama is basically Revenge (rich people!) meets Veronica Mars (rich dead girl!), so prepare yourself for a season — fingers crossed — of backstabbing, betrayals and big reveals.

Downton Abbey (Jan. 6 at 9 p.m. on PBS)
Why we’re excited: I’ve had the great pleasure of pre-screening the British import’s entire third season, and I’m happy to confirm it’s the most dramatic one yet. Prepare yourselves for love (you will cry!), loss (you will cry again!) and more sass from the Maggie Smith‘s Dowager Countess.

The Following (Jan. 21 at 9 p.m. on Fox)
Why we’re excited: There may not be any dreamy Salvatores on this one, but we’ve never met a Kevin Williamson show we didn’t immediately love. The Vampire Diaries creator weaves a gripping, ingenious mystery about a serial killer that we can’t wait to unravel. Oh, did we forgot to mention Kevin Bacon? Because, you know, Kevin Bacon.

Girls (Jan. 13 at 9 p.m. on HBO)
Why we’re excited: Even if it wasn’t brilliant and hilarious, Lena Dunham‘s quirky HBO comedy is amazing because it makes me feel better about being 25 and still not having my life together. The second season will also bring about numerous other joys, including Hannah’s pair of bitchin’ cheetah pants. Get excited!

The Lying Game (Jan. 8 at 9 p.m. on ABC Family)
Why we’re excited: You might want to re-watch last season’s finale before jumping into season two, which is almost dizzying in its complexity. Rebecca (Charisma Carpenter) is more focused on her goal than ever, and with Sutton (Alexandra Chando) as her secret sidekick, there’s no telling how twisted things in Scottsdale will get.

Pretty Little Liars (Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family)
Why we’re excited: With Mona on the loose and their list of allies shrinking by the day, the girls are becoming more suspicious of everyone in Rosewood — including each other! Yes, look for lots of inner-circle drama as PLL wraps up its third season with a bang. And I might just mean that literally.

Smash (Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. on NBC)
Why we’re excited: Dropping some dead weight from season one, Smash is returning brighter and better than ever with a second season full of scheming, dreaming, and of course, a soundtrack ready to dominate iTunes.

Vanderpump Rules (Premieres Jan. 7 at 9 p.m. on Bravo)
Why we’re excited: What’s the only thing better than eating at Lisa Vanderpump‘s Beverly Hills restaurant Sur? Um… watching her rip her sexy-slash-incompetent employees to shreds, of course! Sass is on the menu, and we can’t wait to see Lisa serve it up every week.
