Yellow is the new white. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Amber Tamblyn stunned in a lace, canary yellow wedding gown when she arrived to her nuptials by canoe on October 6.

Carrying a yellow bouquet in hand and flowers in her hair, Amber, 29 and Arrested Development actor David Cross, 48, said “I do” in the woods in front of friends, including Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-stars America Ferrera and Blake Lively as well as Amy Poehler.

Keeping it non-traditional, Cross wore a sweater vest and white button-down. He added a jacket, bow tie and boutonniere for the ceremony.

It was certainly a unique look — did you love it?

Amber Tamblyn, 29, and  David Cross, 48, have tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony over the weekend!

Amber and David celebrated their nuptials on Oct. 6, Us Weekly reports!

Amber and David confirmed their engagement in August 2011. They have been rumored to be dating since April 2008, but did not step out as a couple until 2009.

Filmmaker/director Lance Bangs, who attended the wedding, tweeted a photo with the caption, “Yo La Tengo playing Superchunk, Mission of Burma, and Pixies covers at David and Amber’s wedding.”

This is one story in which I actually think I haven’t used enough exclamation points: Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz confirmed Oct. 2 that the show will be coming back to TV for an abbreviated season — there will be one episode focusing on where each member of the Bluth family is today — which will lead up to the series’ highly anticipated leap to the big screen.

The six-time Emmy Award-winning FOX sitcom — I’d call it a hit-com, but I hate that word — aired from Nov. 2003 to Feb. 2006, and was tragically canceled due to low ratings. Most of its popularity was generated post-cancelation, with TIME magazine even naming it one of “The 100 Best TV Shows of all-TIME.” (See what they did there? Clever, TIME magazine. Very clever.)

Assuming the Arrested Development team is able to recapture the magic that made the short-lived series so incredible – which they will, because I trust them with all my heart and soul — the world is in for a wonderful gift.

Amber Tamblyn and David Cross first met in November 2008, but did not publicly come out as a couple until later in 2009.  But now after nearly three years of dating, the couple have announced the good news to People — they’re getting married!  But is Amber too young to be with an outspoken, controversial comedian like David? She’s 28 and he’s 47! 

Amber is best known for her work in the fantasy-drama Joan of Arcadia in which she earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations in 2004.  She also appeared in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, as well as the sequel to the highly-acclaimed teen comedy-drama.

David has been immortalized as Tobias Bluth during his time on the short-lived cult-favorite Arrested Development.  He currently stars in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, as well as frequently performs stand-up comedy. David has released four stand-up albums and is a frequent performer at charity events.  However, David is quite the controversial comic, often lacing racist undertones in his jokes as well as known for putting down comedian Larry the Cable Guy and TV personality James Lipton.
