‘American Idol’ voters sure do love white guys with guitars! Several of the show’s winners have fit this stereotype, and a group of them got together at the series finale on April 7 for an epic performance, paying tribute to the late, great David Bowie. What an incredible moment!
Six of the last NINE American Idol winners have been white guys with guitars — can you believe that?! Their styles and looks are all fairly similar, but each of these dudes is a star in his own right, and with them all together on one stage, there’s no stopping them! Well, that’s exactly what happened at the show’s final episode on April 7. The result was absolutely amazing!

Last night’s Simon Cowell tribute performance was as touching as they come. Seven of the eight Idol-winning artists he (nearly single-handedly) made — Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood and Kris Allen — were all on hand to bid the departing American Idol judge farewell May 26 with their heartfelt rendition of Delta Goodrem’s “Together We Are One.” But where was season 7 winner David Cook?
