It was a tense season finale of Dancing with the Stars on May 21, but it was a joyous moment when Kellie Pickler was awarded the mirror ball trophy and crowned the season 16 winner. But it should have been Zendaya who won! While Kellie is an amazing dancer and she totally brought her A-game, Zendaya was an overall better dancer and she should have been the one to take home the trophy.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ — Zendaya Should Have Won

Kellie, 26, and Zendaya, 16, were the final two on the season finale, and the crowd was overjoyed when Kellie won. Yes, Kellie is an amazing dancer, and she deserved to dance the encore dance after moving Carrie Ann Inaba to tears with her performance, but I really thought Zendaya had the edge.

Zendaya should have won for several reasons, including the fact that she stole the show on opening night and totally set the bar so high for the season. Plus, she was the first dancer to get a perfect score with her amazing salsa, and she was the first person to score a ten.

Mostly, Zendaya was the best! Len Goodman summed it up correctly when he said that the one word that summed up great dancing is “Zendaya.”

Zendaya proved how versatile she is by dancing a Tango, hip hop, jazz and salsa so well, and she never once scored below 24. At 16-years-old, she is the youngest ever contestant on the show, and she is also the best.

She should have won!

Dancing With The Stars — Congratulations To Kellie Pickler

I don’t want to be a total bitter Betty, because Kellie really was fantastic! I think her freestyle dance won her the edge, and like Zendaya she got a perfect score at the finale.

If only there could have been two winners!

Kellie Pickler Wins ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Kellie and Derek won!

Aly came in fourth place, Jacoby came in third place, and sadly Zendaya just missed out on the winning the trophy and finished in second place.

While I was so sad to see Zendaya lose, Kellie was a really worthy winner and she looked so happy with her trophy!

On the first part of the two part finale, Kellie and Zendaya proved that they were the ones to beat, so it is no shocker that they were the final two.

Kellie Pickler Wins The Encore Dance

Kellie and Derek Hough‘s freestyle dance on the first night of the finale was truly amazing, and it even moved Carrie Ann Inaba to tears! It would have been a robbery if anyone else got to dance the encore.

Psy, Wynonna Judd & Pitbull Perform

It was a night full of awesome performances, and not all were full of dancing!

Psy proved that he is better — and wackier — than some of the professionals when he took to the floor to perform his new song “Gentleman.” And the judges even joined in!

Former contestant Wynonna Judd did what she does best by singing a love song, while Pitbull wowed the crowd with his exotic number. All that was missing was maracas and sangria! American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez sang her a special version of “Feel This Moment” and it was one of the highlights of the night!

Instant Dance

Jacoby and Karina Smirnoff did a salsa for their instant dance, and they scored 30 out of 30!

Kellie and Derek danced a jive, and they also got a perfect score!

Zendaya and Val Chmerkovskiy jived and it’s a hat trick — everyone got 30!

The Full Cast All Dance Together

Ingo Rademacher, Andy Dick, Sean Lowe, Dorothy Hamill, Victor Ortiz, Lisa Vanderpump, and D.L. Hughley all returned to dance one more time on the show, and it was really amazing!

The whole group opened the show to Pitbull’s “Don’t Stop The Party,” and it was so cute to see them to them all together again. The best part was seeing Wynonna in her mall cop outfit.

The season finale of Dancing With the Stars began on May 20 and there were two clear winners of the night: Kellie Pickler and Zendaya. Kellie, 26, has proved that she is more than just a country singer! The former American Idol can quickstep better than anyone else on the show, and she moved judge Carrie Ann to tears with her stunning freestyle contemporary dance on the finale.

Kellie has gotten three perfect scores on the show, and she is clearly Len Goodman‘s favorite! She has proved that she can dance beautifully when she did the Viennese waltz, while her Paso Doble proved she is not to be messed with!

Kellie is probably most likely to win after she made Carrie Ann weep like a small child following her stunning contemporary, and it was the first time this season the entire room gave anyone a standing ovation.

I can totally imagine Kellie taking home the mirror ball trophy at the end!

Why Zendaya Should Win ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Zendaya killed it on the finale of DWTS, and she got the overall highest score of the night after winning the Cha Cha challenge!

At only 16-years-old, Zendaya is not only the youngest ever contestant on the show, she is also the best. She was the first contestant to get a perfect score with her amazing samba, and she has topped the leader board over and over again.

Len said that one word described perfect dancing, and that word is “Zendaya.” Her samba, her hip hop and her contemporary have been stunning, and as much as I love Kellie, I would love to see Zendaya be crowned the youngest ever winner.

Perhaps there could be two winners just this once?!

The season finale of Dancing With the Stars began on May 20 and while Kellie Pickler and Zendaya brought their A game and got perfect scores, Jacoby Jones and Aly Raisman fell a little flat. Zendaya pulled out all stops and won the Cha Cha challenge, while Aly got sexy and pole danced for the freestyle round and Kellie moved Carrie Ann Inaba to tears with her performance. The first of a two night finale, Kellie and Zendaya proved that they are the ones to beat!

‘Dancing With The Stars’: The Scores

Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff: (27/30) Jacoby and Karina danced a jive to “Shake It,” and they rocked it! Len Goodman said there was “improvement,” while Bruno Tonioli loved it but said he lost footing. I thought Jacoby was pretty good, but that definitely was not good enough for the finale!

Super Freestyle Round: (27/30) Jacoby killed it! It felt like Mardi Gras in New Orleans during Jacoby’s free style dance. There was stomping of feet and beating of drums, but Jacoby did make a lot of mistakes… However, the energy was so amazing it didn’t seem to matter!

Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas: (28/30) Aly was amazing! Dancing the samba to Shakira, Aly’s hips didn’t lie, and the judges loved it! Carrie Ann called Aly the full package, and Len said it was full of “sexy moves.” Somehow Aly didn’t get a perfect score, which was so unfair.

Super Freestyle Round: (30/30) Aly got sexy and pole danced for her free style round and it was fantastic! Being a professional gymnast, Aly used her strength to climb the pole and gave a stunning performance, and Len even called her “Alexander the Great!”

Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough: (30/30) Kellie and Derek danced a quick step, and Kellie looked just like Marilyn Monroe! Derek pulled a Jacoby move and jumped over Kellie’s head, and they were seriously awesome! The judges loved it and Bruno called it “fantastic,” while Carrie Ann thanked them for improving on her one critique. Kellie is looking like the front runner right now!

Super Freestyle Round: (30/30) Kellie was literally weightless during her contemporary dance, and it was utterly stunning! Carrie Ann even broke down in tears after! It was so beautiful, and she got a standing ovation from the entire room. Bruno called it “spell binding,” while Len stood up and clapped. It was absolutely one of the best dances this whole season. Kellie is killing the competition!

Zendaya & Val Chmerkovskiy: (30/30) Len called Zendaya’s Samba “eye popping” and overall her critique was amazing. Bruno said she has a “natural flamboyancy.” I thought Zendaya and Val totally killed it, and Zendaya proved she is a truly sensational dancer. I think I see a mirror ball trophy in her future!

Super Freestyle Round: (30/30) Zendaya was fabulous at the freestyle dancing! Dancing a hip hop slash contemporary number, Zendaya was simply wonderful. Rocking out to Justin Bieber‘s “Beauty and A Beat,” Zendaya leaped off a stage, and Carrie Ann said it was the “perfect way to take it home.” She really was amazing.

Zendaya Wins The Cha Cha Relay

The four couples then competed in a Cha Cha relay, and it was the highlight of the night! Each star was better than the next, but the judges chose Zendaya as the winner!

Jacoby came fourth, Aly came third and Kellie came second.

The first of the two night finale, Zendaya and Kellie really tore down the competition. I predict they will be in the final two, but it is impossible to call a winner!

‘DWTS’ Finalists — Final Four Couples Will Compete

The final four will perform three different dances each on the finale, and it is going to be a tough competition!

Here is why each of them could win:

Zendaya Coleman: Zendaya is my favorite, and I am hoping to see her go home with the mirror ball trophy! At 16-years-old, Zendaya is not only the youngest ever competitor, she is also the best! Zendaya was the first person on the show to get a perfect score when she killed it with her salsa, and she is also the most dedicated!

Jacoby Jones: Len Goodman said that Jacoby was the “number one entertainer” of this season, and he is not lying! No other competitor is able to jump clean over their partner’s head, so Jacoby has got quite an advantage. Plus, he really does entertain the audience better than anyone else!

Kellie Pickler: Kellie is the biggest dark horse this season! Who would have thought that the country singer and former American Idol contestant would be able to jive, tango and foxtrot the way she can? Kellie is a truly stunning dancer, and if there was anyone who might pull that mirror ball trophy out from under Zendaya, it’s Kellie.

Aly Raisman: Gold medalist Aly is putting all those years of training to good use, and it is her gymnastic ability that has gotten her such high marks so many times! Aly possesses skills that the other dancers could only hope for, and so there is still hope she could win!

Kellie finally won the encore! She and Derek Hough did a stunning Argentinian Tango, and Kellie showed everyone why she deserves to be in the final.

It’s the semi final of Dancing With the Stars and the celebrities brought their A game! On the May 13 show, Kellie Pickler, Jacoby Jones and Aly Raisman totally stepped it up and got perfect scores, while in an unexpected move Zendaya totally choked on her first dance. However, she killed it on her second dance, when she danced hip hop even better than her professional partner Val! 

‘Dancing With The Stars’: The Scores

Kellie Pickler & Derek Hough: (30/30) Kellie danced like a total pro! Len Goodman said she was “fantastic” dancing the Argentinian Tango, and I felt like I was in Beunos Aires! Bruno Tonolio said she was “superb” and she really was. Kellie is guaranteed a place in that final after that amazing dance.

Flamenco: (28/30) Kellie and Derek did a country style Flamenco and it was awesome. Bruno said she lost her flow a couple times, but overall her critique was good.

Ingo Rademacher & Kym Johnson: (24/30) Dancing the Samba to Maroon 5, Ingo was sexy but he really needs to step up his game for a place in the final. The judges seemed to like it but Carrie Ann Inaba was on the mark when she said he was the “underdog” of the competition.

Charleston: (27/30) It was like a scene out of Bugsy Malone watching Ingo dance the Charleston! However, it is still obvious that Ingo is not as good as everyone else. Still, Len said it was his best dance yet!

Aly Raisman & Mark Ballas: (30/30) Aly’s Rumba was really sad and sorta slow, but the judges loved it! In fact, they were all crying at the end! Len said “it had romance but it was not raunchy” and I think he summed it up correctly. And like Kellie she got a perfect score!

Afro Jazz: (29/30) I don’t know what the hell afro jazz is but it was AWESOME! Aly and Mark were dressed like tribal jungle people and it was so good! Shakira couldn’t even dance like that!

Jacoby Jones & Karina Smirnoff: (30/30) If Kellie danced her Tango in Buenos Aires, then Jacoby danced his in Paris. Jacoby left his class clown act at the door and he killed it dancing his Tango! It was sexy and moody in all the right measure and Len raved about it! Bruno said the “sexual tension was unbearable” and he joked about taking a cold shower afterwards. He even said it was his best performance!

Lindy Hop: (29/30) WOW! This is the perfect dance for Jacoby! The Super Bowl stud jumped, hopped, stepped and it was so full of energy!

Zendaya & Val Chmerkovskiy: (25/30) Zendaya danced what has got to be the quickest quickstep of all time! However in a shocking turn of events, Carrie called it a “mess!” And I’m sad to say I agree. They judges said it was too fast and that it was all over the place. Lets hope she takes it home for hip hop.

Hip Hop: (30/30) Bruno said Zendaya’s hip hop was so cool “it gave me chills!” Zendaya really was in her element dancing hip hip to “Fine China,” and it was a really fresh routine. Plus, she was better than Val! Thankfully she got a perfect score for her second dance!

Scores have never been this high on DWTS! It is going to be a really close final.
