So tragic! ‘American Idol’ Season 4 contestant Constantine Maroulis was arrested on charges of domestic violence for allegedly attacking the mother of his child. However, the ‘Idol’ alum claims he was acting in self defense — he has since been released on bail.
Constantine Maroulis, 39, who is best known for being a contestant on the fourth season of American Idol, was arrested and charged with domestic battery against his child’s mother, on Aug 12. Police were reportedly called to the home they share in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where she alleges he kicked and attacked her. However, the rock singer claims he was injured when he tried to defend himself.
Jordin Sparks is making her Broadway debut this summer in the Tony and Grammy-award winning show In the Heights!
From the small screen to the big stage, Jordin Sparks is the latest American Idol alum to tap into her more dramatic roots and star in a Broadway show. “It’s always been one of my dreams to perform on Broadway,” Jordin, 20, said about her debut as the character Nina Rosario in In the Heights. “This is a brand new experience for me. I look so forward to spending time in New York City and joining this talented cast and my favorite new musical.”

“I’m a huge Simon Cowell fan, and he’s irreplaceable honestly,” the 33-year-old Parks & Recreations star told HollywoodLife.com exclusively during the Artists for Peace and Justice fundraiser in Santa Monica, Calif. Jan. 28.
