Daniel’s (Josh Bowman) trial finally arrived on the April 25 episode of Revenge, and Declan (Connor Paolo) turned out to be the key witness after recanting his statement about the hooded figure on the beach. So Daniel’s lawyer suggested that Emily (Emily VanCamp) testify about why and how she fell in love with her fiancé in order to build an emotional case.

Meanwhile, Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) was still sleeping with the painter — and still on a mission to completely remove the juror, by threatening her son, who posed doubt against her son’s case. But she should never have doubted the abilities of Miss Emily Thorne! Victoria’s plan to guarantee a hung jury or an acquittal was working well, until Emily initiated an amber alert for the juror’s child and the cops found blood that matched Tyler’s DNA in the back of Lee’s (Victoria’s accomplice) car. The Hamptons’ finest schemers seriously outdid themselves with each new episode.

Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) channeled her inner Victoria by encouraging to Declan to tell the truth on the stand, but her manipulation didn’t work! Declan told his side of the story, confirming Charlotte was under the influence of drugs and alcohol the night of Tyler’s murder. (Bravo, Declan, bravo! Finally, someone other than Emily defied a Grayson.)

Daniel drowned his sorrows in alcohol as he began to doubt that Emily actually loved him, while Jack decided to hand over his bloody hoodie. (Man, this is one heck of a love triangle! What guys won’t do for the love of Emily Thorne!) Before being arrested for violating his house arrest, Daniel was overcome with jealously and accused Emily of sneaking around with Jack. Little did he know, she actually stole Jack’s bloody hoodie in order to protect him!

And while Emily and Victoria were busy manipulating everyone around them, Conrad (Henry Czerny) decided to join the club. He confronted Dominick Wright — the infamous artist — and demanded he leave town before he’s accused of dealing in the black market.

At the end of the episode, just when everyone thought Daniel was going to be the one who hanged himself, officers found Lee — and a suicide note confessing to Tyler’s murder! (Man, Victoria Grayson always seems to get her way, doesn’t she?). And to make things even more intense, it was revealed that David Clarke wasn’t knifed in a prison fight. He was murdered… by the Graysons!

So Daniel will be released from prison and all hell will break loose in the Hamptons — but is anyone else disappointed that Emily didn’t get to “deliver the performance of her life” on the stand?

Oh, wait, she gives the performance of her life every single day.

After what felt like the longest hiatus in television history, Revenge returns with the final six episodes of the season April 18, and they’re pretty much going to suck for Declan Porter (Connor Paolo.) As the “only semi-sober and clear-headed person” on the beach, Connor tells HollywoodLife.com that Declan’s version of what happened the night of Tyler’s murder will be crucial to the outcome of Daniel’s (Josh Bowman) trial — and the trial will also force him to choose between “the only two people in his life that he loves.”

“Declan and Charlotte are the closest things to witnesses they have,” Connor notes. “They weren’t there for the discharge of the bullet, but they were there for the immediate aftermath. Their testimonies are going to be integral to the trial, especially in developing the theory that there may have been someone else on the beach. And Charlotte’s testimony could very well be skewed and marred by the fact that she’s taking a lot of synthetic heroin.”

Ah, that’s the really tricky part. Will Declan be forced to reveal Charlotte’s (Christa B. Allen) little addiction in front of a packed courtroom? And what about Jack (Nick Wechsler)? Will Declan also have to acknowledge his brother’s presence on the beach that night?

“Declan’s in a terrible position,” Connor says. “Out of all the people in the world, [he has to choose between] the two people he has any emotional investment in at all. It’s a complete seesaw. If he puts his weight on either end, the other one’s going off. He loves them equally. His love for Charlotte makes her more vivrant to him, because their relationship is physical as well as emotional. However, he and Jack share blood.”

Switching gears a little bit, I couldn’t talk to Connor without bringing up his Gossip Girl character Eric van der Woodsen, who Connor says isn’t actually too different from Declan.

“I wouldn’t necessarily call Declan a tough guy,” Connor says. “Whatever confidence you see in Declan, you’d also find in Eric; the only difference is that Eric never had to use his because he was filthy rich and had people taking care of him. He’s a blue blood, and Declan’s a blue collar. They both stick up for what they want. If anything, I’d say Declan is less secure in who he is than Eric was. If Declan had to identify his sexuality on a grand scale like Eric did, I don’t know if he’d have the self-confidence to stand up in front of a room of people and say, ‘Yes, this is who I am.’”

Of course, there is one other similarity Connor’s not too thrilled about: Declan going to prep school brings back too many memories of Eric’s days at St. Jude’s!

“Declan needs to stop going to prep school. … I was so deeply offended when they were like, ‘Declan’s going to prep school.’ I was like, ‘Of all the characters on this show, this guy’s not putting on a tie. Maybe Jack, but not Declan.’”

If you’ve been watching Revenge on ABC, you’ve probably been impressed beyond belief by Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) and her ability to successfully seek revenge on her enemies with no hitches. However, following last week’s messy plot line, the flaws in Emily’s plan may become exposed.

“The events you just saw have a large ripple effect. The ease at which she goes through [crossing people off the list] comes to a bit of a stand still,” Connor Paolo, who plays Declan Porter, told HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview.

The 21-year-old actor, who formerly starred on The CW’s Gossip Girl, also dished about Declan’s relationship with his crush Charlotte’s evil mom, Victoria (Madeleine Stowe).

“There are some great moments from Declan and Victoria’s relationship to come,” he said. “They build a respect because Jack and declan are really the only honest characters in the show. Victoria sees that and appreicates that he’s a straight shooter.”

We also couldn’t help but ask Connor how he explains Jack’s dog, Sammy, living for 19+ years.

“I’m not a vet…nor am I much of a dramaturge,” he said, jokingly. “Sammy is a resilient dog. It’s a show about a resilient people. I hope people aren’t too bogged down on the dog. Of all the characters, he’s more minor.”

To witness how Sammy, Emily, Declan and the rest of the Hampton dwellers’ drama unfolds, tune into Revenge tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) threw a major curveball at us on the Oct. 5 episode of ABC’s Revenge when she sent everyone a mass “forgivesies” text and moved away from the Hamptons. JK! She continued to ruin the lives of all the people around her, this week targeting Senator Tom Kingsley (Yancey Arias), the man who prosecuted her father. So how did she do it? I’ve got three words for you, friends: Baby. Mama. Drama.

Being the little shopaholic she is, Emily bought the building where Senator Kingley’s mistress lived and had a few security cameras installed as part of a new renovation. Not only did she leak footage of their sexcapades to the press, but Emily also had the senator’s (now pregnant) mistress flown into the Hamptons, which prompted him to step down from politics. Damn, she’s good.

Meanwhile, Declan (Connor Paolo) plotted a little revenge of his own this week. With help from Nolan (Gabriel Mann), he hacked Adam’s (Robbie Amell) webcam and caught him cheating on Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) with a blonde chick. But rather than destroy Adam for good, Declan instead e-mailed Charlotte a cute little video about the ocean and the sunset and blah, blah, blah. I think I speak for everyone when I say: What the hell, Declan?! This show isn’t called Forgiveness – release that tape, already!

No episode of Revenge, however, would be complete without a deadly dose of bitchy behavior from the Queen of the Hamptons, Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) — and she really outdid herself this week. After giving her cheating husband the stinkiest of stink-eyes, she directed her wrath towards Daniel (Joshua Bowman), letting him know exactly how she felt about his budding relationship with Emily.

When HollywoodLife.com saw Gossip Girl dad Matthew Settle party hopping on Feb. 15 he seemed to be having a great time! First he went to the alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet presentation at Provacateur nightclub in NYC where he was smiling and chatting with other guests.

Then we saw him a few hours later at SL nightclub for the MyFDB.com party hosted by Zoe Saldana. There, Matthew hung out with co-stars Kelly Rutherford and Connor Paolo — but his wife, Naama Nativ was nowhere to be seen!

Us Magazine reports, “divorce is imminent,” for the couple, who have a daughter, Aven, almost one year old. The magazine says his wedding ring was off during NYC fashion shows [on] Feb. 11 and 12. 

A spokesperson for Matthew declined comment.

Big names turned up Feb. 13 at Provocateur in the Hotel Gansevoort in New York to check out the fall 2010 presentation of alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week — and they all looked hot! It was a night of mini reunions for Gossip Girl stars Matthew Settle, Kelly Rutherford and Connor Paolo, as well as former Dancing With The Stars competitors Melissa Joan Hart and Kelly Osbourne.
