Samuel L. Jackson Narrates The Bedtime Book That's Definitely NOT For Kids!

The actor has recorded the audio book version of the hilarious Go The F**k To Sleep, a book designed for frustrated parents who just can’t get their little ones to cooperate!

The hardcover edition became an instant smash hit — and Samuel L. Jackson’s ridiculously funny narration will make the audio version even bigger.

With the actor’s soft tones set to twinkly background music, it’s easy to mistake this audio book for a real children’s tale — until it turns R-rated!

Written by Adam Mansbach, the book is actually a parody of a real children’s book, encapsulating the boredom and annoyance parents experience at bedtime.

The laugh-out-loud lines include, “The cats nestle close to their kittens. The lambs have laid down with the sheep. You’re cozy and warm in your bed, my dear. Please go the f**k to sleep.”

Now imagine Samuel L. Jackson reading that out loud!

It’s definitely NOT child-friendly, but every mom and dad should read Go The F*** To Sleep — the ridiculously naughty creation of sleep-deprived father-of-one Adam Mansbach.

At first glance, author Adam Mansbach‘s new book looks like any kiddie creation — until you realize it’s filled with curse words!

Adam, 34, came up with the idea after ranting on Facebook about his difficulties getting his now-three-year-old daughter Vivien to sleep.

His friends suggested he share his frustrations with a wider audience, so he got to work on a kids book that’s just for parents!

Each page contains a four-line poem and covers every possible excuse a child could use to try and avoid going to sleep — ending with the line “Please go the f*** to sleep”.

Here’s an excerpt:

The cats nestle close to their kittens.
The lambs have laid down with the sheep.
You’re cozy and warm in your bed, my dear
Please go the f**k to sleep

Adam’s book doesn’t go on sale til October, but it’s already in the Amazon.com top 300 — and he’s been bombarded with enthusiastic feedback from other frustrated moms and dads!

“I’ve been really amazed and gratified by the response,” he says. “Obviously, this has hit a nerve; I knew it was funny when I wrote it, and it seemed like a universal sentiment, but it’s been crazy to watch it take off.

“Hopefully, the book is very reflective of what we all feel putting our kids to bed. We all love our kids — it’s not like we stop loving our kids — but as the minutes tick by, we’ll do anything to get out of that room.”

I’m a new dad, and judging by the bags under my eyes, I’m going to be using this book…. a lot!

President Barack Obama’s kid’s book was released this week. Have you picked up a copy yet for your kids?

Barack Obama is diving into the world of children’s books! The president of the U.S. released his new book Of Thee of Sing: A Letter To My Daughters on Tuesday (Nov. 17), and it’s already number 2 on Amazon.com’s best sellers for children’s books and number 10 on the overall best sellers list! Illustrated by Loren Long, the president shares his dreams for his girls, Malia, 12, and Sasha, 9, in the book by discussing 13 influential Americans.

The book is written in letter form to his daughters and mentions iconic American figures like Billie Holiday, Helen Keller, Cesar Chavez, Neil Armstrong, Martin Luther King Jr., and Abraham Lincoln. “Have I told you that you are creative?” Obama asks, before mentioning painter Georgia O’Keeffe, who “helped us see big beauty in what was small.” He then talks about Albert Einstein, who “turned pictures in his mind into great advances in science.” Also described is Jackie Robinson, the pioneering black major league baseball player, who “showed us all how to turn fear to respect and respect to love.”

The cover presents an adorable illustration of Barack and Michelle Obama‘s two daughters and their beloved pup, Bo! The 40-page book is priced at $8.99 on Amazon.com.
