It takes a lot of work to keep your favorite stars looking camera-ready all Oscar night!

One man is responsible for much of the beauty we saw at Feb. 27′s Oscars: Olay Celebrity Makeup Artist Bruce Grayson, the 2011 Academy Awards Makeup Department Head! Bruce was responsible for making sure everyone who went on stage looked totally perfect. Since he obviously knows how to make people look their very best the whole night through, we find out his go-to tips for making makeup last!

At the Oscars, Bruce really likes to keep what they do backstage minimal: “I don’t like to use too much makeup when I’m doing touch-ups because most people come to me with a full face of makeup, so adding another layer will actually break it down.” Below, he shares a few of his favorite tricks to keep makeup from fading and smearing. The biggest surprise? He says it’s all about the skincare products you use before you even touch the makeup!

• The most important step is to begin by using a toner and a cleanser. These will provide a clean canvas for your makeup. Try Olay Oil-Minimizing Toner and Olay Shine Control Lathering Cleanser– both were formulated to eliminate grease!
• Though primer can be great for helping to keep makeup in place, Bruce says he doesn’t recommend using too much of it. He prefers to skip the primer altogether and use a moisturizer that acts as a makeup base, like Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream: “it prevents pores from absorbing makeup – that’s a really good trick!”

The new campaign ad is out featuring the gorgeous actress and they look gorgeous!

One of the best things you can do as a company is pick the right spokesperson and that’s almost MORE important for beauty companies. Well, if extraordinary beauty sells skincare, then it looks like Cle De Peau is going to do very well. Look at the luminous beauty of their newest spokeswoman’s ads: Amanda Seyfried!

The new ads for the luxury skincare brand (owned by Shiseido) were just released and it’s a home run. The actress almost seems lit from within with luminous skin and a doe-eyed look that is bound to send sales through the roof. The ads were shot by photographer David Sims and they’re positively lovely.

Personally, I’m a huge fan of not only the ads but the skincare line.  I can’t promise that you’ll look like you have Amanda Seyfried’s genetics, but that glowing skin is definitely achievable by using their gorgeous, effective skincare products.

Dry your tears and never let them see you upset with these six beauty must-haves!

Uh-oh. Looks like the Breakup Bug has been at it again and this time it’s struck poor Annalynne McCord! Don’t let a crying fit derail your work day (or your beauty look.) Use these six beauty essentials to repair your face after a particularly tearful episode:
