The reality star actually looks like a classic Hollywood tv star: Stephanie Powers!

Someone just sent over this photo of Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and one thing is for certain: she looks amazing! Gone is the massive bump and the overdone makeup in exchange for beautifully silky hair, a gorgeous smoky eye and a pretty pink lip! She looks great, doesn’t she?

EIC Bonnie Fuller and I were talking about Snooki’s adorable “make-under” and we both agree: she looks like classic tv star Stephanie Powers from her early career as the girl on the classic spy drama, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.  Will Snooki’s gorgeous new look land her scripted roles? More sponsorship deals? It couldn’t hurt. This look is – at least in my opinion – way more bankable and lovely than her previous one. I think she looks great!

Snooki was hitting the sack in support of P.J. Salvage’s First Annual National Sleep-in Day donation to Pajama Program.

Spotted on the streets of NYC: Blake Lively, apparently racing from hair and makeup to film a scene of Gossip Girl. Everyone’s talking about Blake’s character Serena and how she gets that amazing mane of hair. Well, now we have a good clue: setting her hair in pin curls! Read on to learn how to do this at home!

Let’s face it: Serena’s hair is really another character on the show it’s so popular: lion’s mane-like volume, impossible waves and curls and a color that doesn’t seem possible in nature. Pin curls are a great way to achieve this type of soft volume and gentle curls. Added bonus? You can set your hair and let them cool while you’re doing your makeup to save time? Here’s how to get the look:

1. Blow your hair dry with a round brush, using a heat-protection spray that will add some shine.
2. Using a large barrel curling iron, curl 1″ sections of your hair, setting each curl with a duckbill clip. Repeat all the way around your head.
3. Let your curls cool while you do your makeup.
4. Once the set has curled, use your fingers to tousle the curls and finger comb into your desired style. Mist with a great hairspray that allows for hold as well as movement and you’re done!

The First Lady had a beautiful updo at this week’s State Dinner? Did you like it?

Recently, the President and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a gorgeous State Dinner to honor Chinese President Hu. A star-studded affair, everyone was dressed for the affair, especially the event’s hostess, who wore a gorgeous red Alexander McQueen gown and a beautiful, twisted updo for the occasion. What did you think of the First Lady’s elegant hairstyle?

I personally love these types of updos because they look just as elegant as a basic upswept hairstyle but there’s the added interest of the twists. The twists along the front hairline and over the crown are gathered in the back, then secured separately with other twists at the back of the head for a chic hairstyle that’s truly unique. Love that she worked this style at an official state dinner. It’s respectful and on trend.

May I also add that I thought that the red dress was a complete touch of class and nod to the visiting Chinese official? Red is a sign of good luck in Chinese culture. Loved that.

What products were used to create the actress’ amazing red carpet look? Read on, beauty fans!

How amazing did Olivia Wilde look last night? That Marchesa dress, the fabulous new haircut, her makeup! How do you get the look? Read on for dish on her gorgeous style straight from the experts that created it, beauty fans!

Olivia’s makeup look was created by celebrity makeup artist Spencer Barnes, who says that her look was “ inspired by images she collected of what she refers to as ‘the French girl.’  I wanted her skin to be fresh and clean with eyes that extended outward.  Touches of rose gold and sheer pink-veiled lips completed her youthful coquette-ish look.” He used all NARS Cosmetics products to create her look are below in the Get The Look gallery.

Meanwhile, her gorgeous hairstyle by celebrity hairstylist Terry Millet, using a haircare industry favorite: Kérastase. Also inspired by the chic French vibe, he created the look this way:

1. Begin by applying Kérastase Volumactive Mousse & Care Kérastase Volumactive to wet hair prior to blowdrying to give texture and volume
2. From there, blow dry your hair with your hands, only using a round brush at the ends once your hair is almost dry for a clean, healthy, just-washed look

Didn’t Anne Hathaway look GORGEOUS last night on the red carpet? The dress, the shoes, THE HAIR?!? Loved! As a matter of fact, I liked it so much I decided to ask her stylist how YOU can get the look. Read on, beauty lovers!

Anne’s gorgeous hair was created by Frederic Fekkai celebrity hairstylist Adir Abergel. The talented stylist was inspired by Anne’s retro glam dress and came up with a look that’s a mixture of 30′s and 70′s classic styles. Here’s how to get the look:

1. Starting with clean, shampooed hair, apply a quarter-sized dollop of Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip and spray Fekkai Coiff™ Bouffant Lifting& Texturizing Spray Gel from your roots to your ends
2. Blow your hair dry using your fingers, which will let any natural wave surface
3. Using a 1” barrel, curl your hair away from your face, then pin the curls and allow them to cool.
