The new ‘Dark Knight Rises’ trailer has us super pumped for the movie, which is sure to be one of the biggest summer blockbusters in 2012!

If this trailer is any indication, Christopher Nolan‘s third and final installment of his Batman series — The Dark Knight Rises — will not disappoint!

In the suspenseful video, Christian Bale returns as Batman, but this is the first look we’ve gotten at Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. She seems fierce, foreboding and totally believable in the classic role.

“A storm is coming, Mr. Wayne,” she whispers. “And you and your friends better batten down the hatches.”

When most people think of Catwoman, they immediately envision Michelle Pfeiffer‘s iconic turn as sexy Selina Kyle 1992′s Batman Returns – so we were dying to get her thoughts on Anne Hathaway‘s upcoming portrayal in The Dark Knight Rises. ”I think [Anne] is going to be amazing,” Michelle told HollywoodLife.com exclusively Oct. 17 at Elle‘s Women in Hollywood event.

“She has the darkness and the comedy — she’s got it all!” Michelle continued. “She’s going to be great.”

We’re glad Michelle is giving Anne’s performance two paws up, because we’d really hate to see a catfight break out between those two Hollywood heavyweights. (Sorry, cat pun alert!)

You’ve seen her on a bike. You’ve seen her in her Sunday best. But you’ve never seen Anne Hathaway‘s Catwoman like this before! A stealthy photographer captured Anne on the Los Angeles set of The Dark Knight Rises on Sept. 24, giving us our first real glimpse at the highly anticipated cat-suit in all its glory.

The photographer  also noted that Anne was filming a scene with Gary Oldman and Christian Bale in his Batman suit, and at one point, Anne was spotted with her head on Christian’s shoulder.

OK, now let’s be brutal: What does everybody think of the ears? Personally, I just want to run up to her and give her head a good scratch — but hey, it’s been a weird weekend.

Anne Hathaway is determined to be an amazing Catwoman — even if it means her normal life is suffering a bit. According to the 28-year-old actress, who’s been busy shooting The Dark Knight Rises — she’s been eating a strict diet and working out ALL THE TIME.

“I’m a vegetarian and right now, I’m living on kale and dust for the training,” Anne told Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately Aug. 16, laughing. “That catsuit’s unforgiving, man!”

Living on hardly any calories isn’t the only thing Anne is doing — she’s also putting time in at the gym.

“Last time I was here we talked about how much I really don’t like working out,” she said. “I really like it now. I know, that’s like, ugh… that person.

We’ve seen photos of Anne in her costume, and whatever she’s doing is definitely working. She looks fantastic!

Halle Berry is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. She is also the first and only African American woman to win the title of Best Actress at the Academy Awards for her performance in Monster’s Ball.We have seen her in films such as Jungle Fever, X-Men, and Die Another Day. We know her best for her leading role in Catwoman, the film for which she won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress.

In 1993, Halle married former baseball player David Justice, but that ended in 1997. A few years later she married Eric Benét and adopted his daughter, India. Unfortunately, they divorced shortly after in 2005.

Halle also gave birth to Nahla Ariela, her daughter with ex-beau Gabriel Aubry. She had to pull out of film New Years Eve to deal with custody issues.

“When you have children you get to see things all over again,” the actress and Revlon spokeswoman explains,  ”So I’ve never laughed as hard, I’ve never done more silly things, and I go to great lengths to make her laugh. She’s awakened a childlike side of me.”

The Dark Knight Rises has been shrouded in secrecy for months, and very little to nothing is known about filming, but Anne Hathaway has inadvertently given away some major clues about her new role in recent interviews! Anne told Harper’s Bazaar she has been training five days a week to get not only thin, but strong. Seems like Catwoman, and not Selina Kyle, will be more featured in the new film!

That’s not all either as Anne told the mag that, in addition to stunt training, she is doing an hour and a half of dance training every day. That is some serious commitment were Catwoman to only be appearing towards the end of the film.

Anne is also not letting vanity get in the way of her workouts either, as she admits her toenails have been ruined as a result of her training.

As a source told HollywoodLife, Anne is completely embodying her new character as the movie films. “Everything from the looks in her eyes, her head movements, her body–everything is so feline. The role is taking her to new places.”

It appears Anne may be making a Heath Ledger like transformation for her new role — are you excited to see more Catwoman and less Selina?

Although we won’t be seeing Anne Hathaway in the iconic role of Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises for more than a year, an insider tells HollywoodLife.com new details about her much anticipated costume — and it’s not going to be like anything we’ve seen in the previous movies!

“Anne’s outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies,” a source very close to the costume design tells us exclusively. “She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it’s going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman costumes. She’s going to look more like a robber.”

Adds the insider, “But fan boys shouldn’t be worried. This costume is going to be form-fitting enough to make Anne look smoking hot.”

We cannot wait to see Anne — who says she’s been working out non-stop to get in shape for the role — as Catwoman. As we previously reported, a source on set told us the 28-year-old actress is dominating in the role and will blow audiences out of the water.

“Everything from the looks in her eyes, her head movements, her body–everything is so feline. The role is taking her to new places,” the insider said.
