With just under six months to go before the Nov. 11 release of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the promotional material is really starting to roll out. Our latest ‘gift’ is this brand-new poster, which features a confident Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) beneath the phrase: “The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand.”

Catching Fire is going to be one of the biggest movies of 2013, so what better place to debut the first official teaser trailer than the 2013 MTV Movie Awards? This year’s annual show delivered our first look at the upcoming Hunger Games sequel, in theaters Nov. 22, and now we’re more excited than ever to see Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) back in action!

Though J-Law wasn’t actually there to help reveal the footage herself, Liam Hemsworth was more than capable to of presenting the teaser trailer solo. (Actually, he wasn’t really solo. That intense beard counted as its own person.)

‘Catching Fire’ Teaser Trailer: Is Katniss Dying?

The teaser trailer opened with President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and his associates vowing to “eliminate” Katniss. Though the Hunger Games winner pleaded with Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) to help her though the ordeal,  he didn’t exactly have an answer for her. No shocker there…

We also got to see a sweet moment between Katniss and Prim, and a full-on romantic kiss between Katniss and Gale. (We had to look away when poor Gale was getting whipped!)

Mockingjays get excited! A new still from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire was released on April 12, and Liam Hemsworth sure looks good! In this new pic, fans can see Gale being dragged away by the Peacekeepers — perhaps being sexy is considered a crime — and boy does he look good!

‘Catching Fire’ Still Shows Sexy Gale

Be still my beating heart, because Liam looks great in this still from the sequel to The Hunger Games!

Liam, 23, will have a much bigger part in the second installment of the hit franchise, as he, Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) fight against the Capitol in this dystopian drama.

It’s going to be so good!

In another new still, Katniss is seen comforting a sad Prim.

And it’s not just Katniss and Peta we will see compete in The Hunger Games again (spoiler alert!), they will be joined by many other notable faces!

Prepare yourself for a teaser trailer… of a teaser trailer! The first official video The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will premiere April 14 during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, but for now, we have a 20-second preview of the preview to snack on. And, yes, it contains seven seconds of actual footage from the movie!

The blink-and-you-missed-it footage in this teaser-teaser trailer shows Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) being introduced as the winners of the previous Hunger Games, presumably in District 11 during their victory tour. It looks like we also get a shot of Effie (Elizabeth Banks) from behind, but really, who’s to say?

New Blood In ‘Catching Fire’

Of course, Katniss and Peta aren’t the only ones we’re looking forward to seeing when the second installment of the Hunger Games saga hits theaters Nov. 22; we’re also pumped about the new man in Kat’s life!

Sam Claflin, who most people remember fondly as Kristen Stewart‘s prince in Snow White and the Huntsman, joins the fray as ladies-man Finnick Odair — and based on the first-look photos from Catching Fire, we can tell Sam and Jennifer are going to have some fiery chemistry.

I sure wouldn’t want to come up against Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games! In the newest poster released for Catching Fire, Jennifer looks stunning in white dress as Katniss Everdeen, and her stare in ice cold. Katniss has swapped her wetsuit for a ball gown in the new poster, and she looks amazing!

Jennifer Lawrence Stars In ‘Hunger Games’ Sequel

Jennifer, 22, is having the best year of her career! After accepting her Oscar for Best Actress on Feb. 24 for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, she is set to release her latest Hunger Games film later this year. And it’s gonna be awesome!

The poster for the highly anticipated film shows Jennifer in a floor length stunning white dress, with the typical wacky make up seen in the Capitol and she is holding a white rose. Full of ruffles and moulded wings, Katniss looks more like a beautiful princess than a frightened tribute who is about to fight to the death!

Jennifer even dyed her caramel hair dark brown for the part!

Spoiler alert — if you haven’t read the dystopian novel, stop reading now! The sequel shows Katniss and her sexy companion Peeta Meelark (Josh Hutcherson) reenter the Hunger Games as part of the 75th Quarter Quell, where they must once again fight for their lives. But I promise you, it is nothing like the last movie!

Hopefully these posters will excite fans, because the movie is not released until Nov. 22, 2013, so we will have to wait some time yet to see it!

Just when we thought the competitors in the Hunger Games couldn’t get any more beautiful, along comes Sam Claflin to prove us all wrong. Entertainment Weekly has the first official look at Sam as Finnick Odair, a character in the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire movie — and we barely recognized him in his new Panem get-up!

News of Sam’s casting first broke in July 2012, and was met with mixed reactions from HollywoodLife.com readers. One reader supported the decision, saying, “I like Sam claflin, he’s a damn good actor,” while another reader said, “I’m boycotting the movie if this is true.” And so on, and so forth.

We last saw Sam acting alongside Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman.

Who Is Finnick Odair?

Good question!

Finnick, 24, is the male tribute from District 4 who is selected to do battle in the Third Quarter Quell — every 25 years, the Hunger Games’ rules shift — and will face off against Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and many others. He’s beloved by the people of the Capitol, and not just because he’s beautiful, though I’m sure that doesn’t hurt.

He’s also a bit of a man-whore, known for hitting and quitting many young ladies throughout the Capitol.

His weapon of choice is a trident, which is one of the tools he used to win his first Hunger Games when he was just 14 years old.
