How do Chloë Grace Moretz & Julianne Moore stack up against the original ‘Carrie’s’ mother-daughter duo? The top film critics weigh in!
One of horror’s most iconic villains is reborn tonight, as Carrie opens in theaters nationwide. It’s a tale as old as time — girl gets bullied, girl discovers she has powers, girl uses said powers to murk her bullies — and based on the reviews, this 2013 remake of the original 1976 classic holds up pretty well. Both Chloë Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore turn in admirable performances, putting their own spins on the telekenetic teen and her monstrous mother.
Chloe looked amazing at the Hollywood premiere of her movie ‘Carrie’ at the ArcLight Cinemas on October 7. We got the breakdown of her exact skincare and makeup look — check it out below!

It’s Chloë like you’ve never seen her before — crazy and covered in blood! Watch!
If you asked me yesterday to describe Chloë Moretz, I might use words like “cute” and “fun.” But today, after seeing the brand-new teaser trailer for Carrie, those flattering adjectives couldn’t be further from my thoughts. A remake of Stephen King‘s 1976 horror classic, Carrie is the terrifying tale of a seemingly quiet girl who gets pushed too far on prom night. Like, blood-and-death far.
We’re totally with you on keeping our favorite shop-a-holics around forever, John. But darling, you should really know, the proper term is vintage.
Here’s the good news: John Corbett – who played Sarah Jessica Parker’s worker-man boyfriend Aidan Shaw on the iconic HBO series Sex and the City, thinks the ladies will keep filming until Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are old and gray. The bad news? Well, we already know that. Aidan won’t be returning to SATC 2, 3, or 3000 (or so he says).
“I think [SATC] will go on and on until [the ladies] are old bag ladies, to say the least, they’ll be in wheelchairs!” John, 48, joked to HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Writers Guild Awards in Los Angeles Feb. 20. He added, “But yeah, I’m absolutely sure it will happen!”
Are you ready to get ‘Carrie-ed’ away by the Sex and the City sequel?

There’s glitz, there’s glamour, there’s Mr. Big. Opening to the strains of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ anthem to the Big Apple “Empire State of Mind”, Carrie (aka Sarah Jessica Parker) reminds us that it’s been two years since we’ve seen her in action. “And just when you think you’ve seen it all,” she says, “It hits you. You haven’t seen anything yet!”
How are going to wait until SJP and her pals hit the big screen on May 28, 2010? We’re dying to see it – are you?
