Arlene’s daughter brought the LOLZ to an otherwise super-dramatic season finale.

When I first saw Arlene’s (Carrie Preston) daughter’s Halloween costume on True Blood last night — complete with nappy hair, a huge pregnant belly and heavy eye-rolling — I assumed she was supposed to be her mother. That would have been funny enough. But when Terry (Todd Lowe) asked who her costume was, and she replied Jenelle Evans from Teen Mom 2, I giggled like an idiot.

And Jenelle’s ears must have been burning, because she tweeted: “WHO IS WATCHING HBO’S TRUE BLOOD RIGHT NOW? WHAT DID THEY SAY ABOUT ME?!!!!”

Let’s just hope that’s not foreshadowing what’s to come next season. The Fowler-Bellefleur family does NOT need another crazy baby!

Five deaths, two disappointed vampires and one unsettling return added up to a seriously mind-blowing True Blood season finale. And while I predict a lot of fans have a bad taste in their mouth after the Sept. 11 episode, I loved every minute — and more importantly — every twist.

Let’s start with death number one: Jesus (Kevin Alejandro!) Still possessed by Marnie (Fiona Shaw), Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) knifed his brujo lover in order to absorb his freaky demonic powers. He then silver-chained Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) to a pyre, and while I won’t poo-poo the gratuitously shirtless eye candy, I’d rather our vamps not be on the brink of death for once.

Fortunately Sookie (Anna Paquin), Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Holly (Lauren Bowles) arrived to save the day! Taking advantage of Halloween’s natural magic, the trio busted out a spell to use their dead ancestors against Marnie. I never thought I’d see Sookie’s little Gran physically pull a human out of another human, but hey, anything goes on True Blood.

Once the madness died down — pun intended — it was time for Sookie to deal with what really matters in life: choosing between Bill and Eric! Using her head, for once, Sookie confessed that even though she loved both vampires, her best option was to let them both go and see what a single life has to offer her. (Personally, I think her best option would have been another threesome, but hey, I just want her to be happy.)

Meanwhile, far away from the chaos, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) had themselves a hot little Halloween. After coming clean to Hoyt (Jim Parrack), Jason was free to ravage Little Red Riding Hood to his heart’s content. After she left, Jason was visited by another familiar face — Steve Newlin! He’s back, and he’s a freakin’ vampire! (Sorry, did I say Jason was “far away from the chaos?” I guess I spoke too soon.)

Arlene (Carrie Preston) finally got her long-awaited visit from René this week, but it didn’t go quite as she expected. Instead of attacking her, or even mentioning one word about the baby they share together, he came to deliver a warning — about Terry (Todd Lowe)! He said he’s seen the ghosts of Terry’s past, and that she should run while she can. Hmm… Could this have anything to do with his old war buddy (Scott Foley) showing up in Bon Temps?

Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck) also met her untimely demise this week, surprisingly, at the hands of King Bill. She informed Bill and Eric that she quit her job and was planning to rebel against the Authority, joined by a faction of vampires who have been plotting a move for quite some time. But it was her calling them both “puppy dogs” for Sookie that drove them both over the edge. And as much as I loved Nan, I think Eric said it best while standing over her lifeless puddle. “What a bitch.”

Methinks we got a taste of what’s in store for season five — and I’m kind of terrified. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) was called to a parking garage, where he discovered someone had dug a huge hole in the ground. Why, you ask? Judging by the broken silver chain Alcide picked up, I’m going to go ahead and assume our buddy Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) is back. And he’s pissed. So hide your humans and hide your fairies! We’re all in for a whole lot of pain.

And then there was that last scene — the one every True Blood fan will be talking about until season five premieres next summer. Sookie came home to find a shotgun-wielding Debbie (Brit Morgan), who ended up blowing a hole in Tara’s head when she knocked Sookie out of the way. And despite the she-wolf’s plea for Sookie to spare her life, our little fairy grabbed that shotgun and finally blasted her in the face — another moment fans of the book have been patiently waiting for.

The fourth season premiere of HBO’s True Blood began and ended with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) in her usual brand of sexy danger, though for two very different reasons. Kicking the episode off was the eight minutes of fighting fairy action we’d already seen online, with Sookie and Grandaddy Earl (Gary Cole) narrowly escaping the massive human harvest and returning to Bon Temps. But our blonde, fairy-blooded heroine didn’t quite end up exactly where she expected.

It turns out more than a year has passed since Sookie and Claudine disappeared off to Fairy Land last season, and while some things never changed — Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) are still behave like dogs fighting over a bone whenever they’re in Sookie’s presence — just about everything else about the home she knew has done a complete 180. Like Lorena’s head.

For starters, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is now officially an officer of the law. Sookie seemed just as surprised as the audience when she encountered her dopey older brother in uniform upon her return. But it was Jason who got the real surprise when a visit to Hot Shot, where he now serves as the unofficial mayor, when a couple of inbred shapeshifters locked him in the freezer. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) has managed to become even more of a style icon by adopting a Mr. T mohawk! He also started joining boyfriend Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) to his secret witch meetings, led by this season’s apparent villain Marnie (Fiona Shaw.) I’ll openly admit I pee myself at the very thought of Marnie, as the woman was able to coax her followers into reviving her dead pet bird — albeit very temporarily. It’s nice to see a female villain back in the picture, after last season’s male-dominated plots. I expect great, and terrifying, things…

Meanwhile, across town, Sam (Sam Trammell) has a new group of shape-shifting BFFs — and one of them is Naomi’s mom from 90210! But I digress… He and his merry band of animorphs apparently get together to use their powers recreationally, this week transforming into horses and riding off into the night. (Cue the Rolling Stones.)

But it’s Tara (Rutina Wesley) who appears to have changed most of all. When we caught up to her in the premiere, she was cage-fighting far, far away — and celebrating her big win by kissing her girlfriend! Yes, it turns out Tara is the straight-gone-gay character we’d heard about in spoilers, and she wasted no time getting to her first sex scene. (As Mrs. Garrison would say, “Scissor me timbers!”)

The 12-month time jump thankfully meant Arlene (Carrie Preston) finally popped out René’s demon spawn, and it looks like he’s developing just as darkly as Arlene expected. I’m talking Barbie-dolls-decapitation dark.

OK, now back to Sookie. Just when she thought she could settle back into town, she got one more surprise — and it’s sure to up the show’s sex quota even more, as if that were even possible. Eric now has the deed to Sookie’s house in his possession, but he owns much more than just that. As he reminded her, fangs out, in the episode’s final moments: “You. Are. Mine.”

The sexy werewolf we have all been waiting for finally shows up in Bon Temps and Tara discovers the benefits of being with a vamp!

Well, as last week’s episode ended with a bullet being fired this week’s started with someone being shot – though not who we expected!

That’s right kids, in typical True Blood fashion it was Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) and not the creepy werewolf waiting for Sookie (Anna Paquin) who took a bullet to the chest. Eric was however kind enough to then kill the intruder for Sookie, staining her rug with a rather large amount of blood in the process. Will this girl ever be able to keep that house clean?

Over in Mississippi a rather charred Lorena (Mariana Klaveno) is recovering from Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) aggressive greeting and seems to have forgiven him for his lack of manners. King Russell (Denis O’Hare) is still trying to woo Bill to pledge his allegiance and seems to be making headway, though the King’s suggestion Bill change Sookie seems to fall on deaf ears.

Now back again to Louisiana where Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) are having great things happen to them, but with horrible long term repercussions. You know what, ain’t nothing ever go right for those two — enjoy it while you can guys!

Tara met a man. Well, an undead man. Franklin (James Frain) is back and from the look on Tara’s face very, very good in the horizontal position. Come to think of it every vampire seems to be in said situation save Bill. Is Bill the worst vampire lover? We figure this is sort of a worst house on a super amazing block sort of thing anyway but we have never seen Sookie’s eyes literally roll back in her head. Oh, and that other thing Bill likes to do — but we’ll get into that later.

After their lovemaking it seems that Franklin may be pleasuring Tara for his own good when the pillow talk turns to Bill and Sookie. And once again Tara gets a crappy deal.

Lafayette meanwhile gets a fancy car from Eric that is literally nicer than his house. Like, maybe even nicer. But this is clearly good old Eric’s way of telling L-Bomb he is gonna have to start selling and pushing more V. If it means getting to hang out with Eric, we will gladly help.

Oh, Sam’s (Sam Trammell) white trash family comes by Merlotte’s and gets drunk and white trashy. Again kids, if you’re a shape shifter and looking to meet the family that abandoned you, probably not gonna be happy with that decision.

Also, Arlene’s (Carrie Preston) pregnant! Yayyy! Oh, but looks like boyfriend and all around greatest dude in Bon Temps Terry (Todd Lowe) is not the father. Sigh.

Now the episode’s most amazing part, brand new werewolf Alcide (Joe Manganiello). I mean, wow. He looks great, has a beard, wears plaid flannel, and hangs out at awesomely punny bars like Lou Pine’s.

Well, Alcide agrees to escort Sookie in her quest to find Bill where their first stop is the local wolfie watering hole — the aforementioned Pine’s — to get some dirt. Sookie, in typical Sookie tempting fate fashion, wears an all white, virginal look. She flirts, a wolf pounces, Alcide come to the rescue. This is shaping up to be a fun relationship.

The episode’s final scene however was just, I mean, it was not okay. I have heard the expression ‘I’m gonna wring your neck,’ I have just never seen someone do it. So watching Bill have angry sex with Lorena and then twist her neck 180 degrees left a bad taste in my mouth. Her’s too I’d assume from all the blood pouring out. Can these two call a truce now?

Think you know but not QUITE sure why Ben Linus didn’t go into the light with his castmates during the season finale of Lost? Read on, BFFs!

If you’re a true Lost fan, you’ll have your theories on why Benjamin Linus was sitting on a park bench outside a church in the last few moments of the series finale May 23 — but are you right? Luckily, Ben’s portrayer, Michael Emerson, was nice enough to clear up the mystery!

“Ben hasn’t fully redeemed himself and he wasn’t able to move on like the rest of the characters,” Michael, 55, explained to partygoers during the season premiere party of his wife, Carrie Preston’s show, True Blood, at Hollywood’s H-Lounge June 12.

THANK YOU, MICHAEL! We needed to hear that!

Now that the actor isn’t caught up in the drama of the island, he was free to kick back and enjoy Skyy pineapple cocktails on the patio with his wife, as well as her Blood stars Sam Trammell, Todd Lowe and Nelsan Ellis, who had no idea it was Gay Pride week and thought LA was always that chaotic on a Saturday night (it isn’t).

As for the gorgeous Alexander Skarsgard, sources tell HollywoodLife.com that the hunky Swede WANTED to make the pre-season party but “would have probably turned around if he had seen the craziness going on around Santa Monica Blvd!”

Well, that’s no bloody fun, is it?

I’m sure just like us, most of you can’t wait for the True Blood premiere on Sunday — but since it’s still a few days away, you can gear up for the big night by taking a bite out of the glam gals on the red carpet for the premiere party in LA last night! From blue hues to cutouts, there were a ton of fun frocks! There was Anna Paquin, who opted for an electric blue Proenza Schouler dress and the PS1 clutch in black, Kate Bosworth, who was my fave of the night in a cutout Preen fall 2010 dress and pointy pumps, Deborah Ann Woll, in a midnight blue off the shoulder David Meister, Rutina Wesley, in a very cleavage-baring Pamella Roland ivory dress, Carrie Preston, who looked totally glam in a blue strapless and red accessories, and Abigail Spencer, who opted for a satin brocade dress and gold accessories, (including peep toe pumps and bangles). Who did you think was best dressed last night?

Sorry Sookie! Vampire Bill is thirsty for Arlene and Jessica’s blood now too!

True Blood‘s Stephen Moyer who plays vampire Bill Compton, has a new craving and it doesn’t involve the blood of his fiance/costar Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse). Stephen wants to bite into the veins of co-stars Carrie Preston and Deborah Ann Woll!

“I’ve always had a thing about Carrie Preston who plays Arlene. In that long red wig, she does things for me,” Stephen told us at Cosmopolitan magazine’s “Fun Fearless Male Awards” at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC on Mar. 1, when we asked him whose blood he would like to suck besides Anna’s.

Stephen also admitted, “My own daughter Deborah Ann Woll [on the show], ‘Jessica,’ I think she’s pretty sexy!”

Stephen, we hope Anna doesn’t get mad at you when she reads this! Actually, we bet her character Sookie would “quite like a go on some of that thousand year old blood as well” so that she can become a vampire too. Is this an event that might take place next season? We’ll have to watch to find out!
