After news broke that Kristen Stewart had cheated on Robert Pattinson with Rupert Sanders, there were reports that, in the midst of her depression, Kristen had pulled out of her next project, Cali, and that the film was canceled as result. A source tells us that this isn’t the case.

A Cali insider tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the film won’t move on without Kristen, nor is it being scrapped. “Cali is being put on hold until Kristen feels ready,” our insider reassures, adding, “No other actress will replace her as previously reported!”

We hope Kristen feels ready soon!

Kristen Stewart was so excited when talking about her upcoming movie role in Cali. She told WWD that she was going to start working out to prepare for the role and that she was going to looking like a “porn star.”

“I’m going to get into the best shape of my life,” Kristen said. “I’m going to look like a stripper. I’m going to look like a porn star.”

The movie was set to be directed by Nick Cassavetes, and was about a couple who get involved with really strange people and then have to find a way to survive.

Kristen dropped out of Cali on August 8. Do you think that after the cheating scandal with Rupert Sanders, Kristen felt like this movie wasn’t good for her image?

It’s no secret Kristen Stewart is suffering from her affair with Rupert Sanders – which is why sources tell HollywoodLife.com the 22-year-old actress pulled out of her upcoming flick, Cali.

And while that may seems like a bad move for the Twilight star, career consultant and author Roy Cohen tells HollywoodLife.com it’s actually a very smart and mature one.

“If Kristen Stewart has decided to drop out of Cali then I applaud her. This decision is perhaps a very wise choice. What would be most beneficial to her career right now? Perhaps she needs to let it be known that she is suffering an emotional meltdown and doesn’t have the energy and focus to both star in and executive produce such a challenging project,” he tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Roy goes on to say that Kristen needs to be emotionally and mentally ready to star — and produce — a project like Cali.

“In fact, it would be irresponsible of Kristen to take on this project if she was not mentally, emotionally and physically prepared because it would not be fair to all the people involved who are investing all of their time, energy and money,” Roy says. “Pulling out of Cali would not be a diva move and shouldn’t be viewed that way.”

As we previously reported, a friend of Kristen’s told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY, “Kristen has dropped out of Cali because just doesn’t “want to do it,” and she’s “really depressed” right now.

Kristen Stewart is so devastated over her shattered relationship with Robert Pattinson that she has quit her movie Cali – and production on the film has stopped in the process!

Kristen, 22, pulled out of the film — and that has caused the entire production to halt.

“Kristen has pulled out of Cali,” a source close to production tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She decided that it’s just too much for her to handle right now. She was also supposed to executive produce the film. She is just a mess right now after she was caught having an affair on Rob!”

HollywoodLife.com reached out EXCLUSIVELY to Cali production company Voltage Pictures, and we were told that the film was not being cancelled.

Kristen Stewart has received tons of backlash from her affair with Rupert Sanders that’s ruined her relationship with Robert Pattinson. She’s reportedly torturing herself over the fallout, and now she’s dropping out of work!

A friend of Kristen’s tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Kristen has dropped out of Cali. She just pulled out a couple of days ago. She just doesn’t want to do it.”

When asked why Kristen, 22, is pulling out of the film, the friend tells us it’s because “she’s all messed up right now and really depressed.” “She cheated on [Rob] with her director and was caught…She’s not in a good place,” the friend says. Kristen’s in such a bad place, our source says, that she doesn’t even want to work out anymore!

A rep for Voltage Pictures, the production company behind Cali, declined to comment on the story, meanwhile a source very close to Kristen insists “she’s not backing out of anything.” “She’s very professional, and if she’s supposed to be somewhere, she’ll be there,” the source says.
