With only 12 days to go until the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards, the stage is set for an epic battle of television’s best and brightest. Today, HollywoodLife.com is analyzing the men of TV’s most compelling dramas — the ones who make us laugh, cry, and in the case of Jon Hamm, stare in utter amazement at the handsomeness.

If you’re a regular HollywoodLife.com reader, you know we’re obsessed with Downton Abbey, so our personal favorite is obviously Hugh. But realistically, we see the gold going to either Bryan — the first half of Breaking Bad‘s final season was incredible — or Jon, who continued to surprise us with his gripping portrayal of the iconic Don Draper.

SNL goofed on Miley’s accent, voice and dad — but, what? No skimpy outfit jokes?

While Vanessa Bayer‘s impersonation of Miley Cyrus was dead on — scarily so at times — during Saturday Night Live‘s “Miley Cyrus Show” sketch on Oct. 2, we have to wonder: Why didn’t SNL use any of the actual fodder out there to goof on Miley? Every joke was about her being loud, obnoxious and uninformed, which is fine, but a few jokes about dressing in flesh-baring outfits and going to clubs underage would have been greatly appreciated.

Kudos to host Bryan Cranston, though, who was stellar in his portrayal of Billy Ray Cyrus. Yee-haw!

This voluptuous redhead is all about drama on AMC’s Mad Men, but she’s playing a action starlet in her latest role alongside Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan!

Christina Hendricks is NOT a submissive woman by nature, but she’ll be playing one in the movie role she just landed! The gorgeous and curvaceous redhead will be playing Blanche, a bank robbery accomplice, in the upcoming action film, Drive!

“She’s playing the character of Blanche, and we are very excited to have her!” an insider at Bold Films tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively.

The film, which begins filming Sept. 20, is about a man named Driver (Ryan Gosling), a Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a robbery accomplice and discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong.

The cast also includes Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan and Emmy winner Bryan Cranston from Breaking Bad; the film will be released in 2012.

We can’t wait to see Christina on the big screen! Can you?
