Brooke Burke’s ‘DWTS’ Finale Hair — Get The Exact Look

“First I layered Bumble and Bumble Thickening Spray and White Sands UnderCover Styling Spray on damp hair.

From the outside corners of the eyes, make two clean parts back to the crown and pin the section out of the way. Then, blow dry the rest of the hair with a medium round brush to create a smooth finish.

Take the sides of the hair and gather into a ponytail in the back. Fasten with a small rubber band. Clean up flyaways using a fine tooth tail comb and White Sands Infinity Hairspray.

Using a small round brush, blow dry the top of the hair concentrating on lifting the roots for volume. Spray a few pumps of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray all over to smooth and add shine.

With your fingers and the blow dryer, push the hair up and towards the center to create your pomp. Use a few pumps of the White Sands Infinity Hairspray to hold the shape.

Place crisscross bobby pins down the center of the pomp and roll one side over to conceal, fastening with invisible hairpins. Think loose French twist and look in the mirror and adust the shape that’s best for your face. It’s best if it is not too symmetrical, it will look more interesting.

Let the rest of the hair cover the first ponytail. Fasten with a couple of pins. Then, gather all the remaining hair and create a single braid.

Twist the braid up, tuck in the ends and fasten with bobby and invisible hair pins. Lock everything in with White Sands Stuck Up Mega Hold Hairspray.”

Brooke Burke-Charvet Talks About ‘Dancing with The Stars’

Brooke, 41, is the new face of allergy medicine’s Claritin’s new Claritin Clear Challenge, where allergy sufferers are encouraged to take the medicine every day of the pollen season to get continuous relief. Brooke says that she always suffers from allergies during the spring season of DWTS!

Speaking about the show, Brooke talked about how Zendaya does NOT have an unfair advantage just because she dances hip hop on Shake It Up.

“You would think that. Zendaya is so good. She is an amazing hip hop dancer, but we have seen in the past with some hip hop dancers that it works against them cos they have to break a lot of habits. I can understand why people would think that, but I don’t see any similarity at all.”

But who does she think has an advantage? The athletes!

“I think the athletes have an advantage,” says Brooke. “Because they know how to train and deal with the pressure and they put in hard work.

Well, Jacoby Jones and Aly Raisman are topping the leader board each week!

As for Sean?

“I think [he is doing] OK. It’s so hard and so scary. Get the first show out of the way, and then get serious.”

Brooke Burke-Charvet showed her bravery by posting an intimate video on YouTube, revealing her diagnosis of thyroid cancer to millions of fans. However, the admission is certainly paying off, as her fans are showing their undying support for the Dancing With The Stars beauty.

“I need to have a thyroidectomy, which means that I’m going to have a nice big scar right here across my neck,” the 41-year-old host told her fans in the video, released on Nov. 8.

Brooke said she found a tiny nodule on her thyroid during a routine checkup. An initial biopsy was inconclusive, but follow-up tests revealed the nodule to be cancerous. While cancer is never a good thing, Brooke’s outlook looks positive.

“Doctors say this is a good kind of cancer to have,” Brooke said in her video. “Good cancer — that sounds so crazy! But my doctor did tell me that this is a happily-ever-after kind of thing.”

More than 56,000 people are diagnosed with thyroid cancer each year, but less than 1,800 die from it annually, according to ABC News.

The most common treatment is to remove the gland through surgery.

The thyroid gland makes hormones that regulate heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature and weight, so without it, Brooke will have to take thyroid hormone pills for the rest of her life.

“I guess the truth is, I’m always so used to being in control and taking care of everybody and all my kids, and now I find myself in this really out-of-control situation,” Brooke, a mother of four, said in her video. “I’m going to be a really good patient and I’m going to do everything that I need to do.”

This is such sad news. Our thoughts are certainly with Brooke and her family at this time. We hope for a speedy recovery after her surgery.

“I feel really good, and I’ve actually never felt better and that’s what’s so crazy about this whole thing,” she concluded. “I’m just going to make a positive out of this negative thing.”

After winning season seven of Dancing With the Stars with partner Derek Hough, we have loved watching Brooke Burke, 40, host our favorite dancing competition every week. Now, with the first ever All-Star season around the corner, Brooke admits that she “would love to get back out there with Derek.”

Although the show is still working out which celebrities will make their return to the ballroom, Brooke told HollywoodLife.com: “It would be a great opportunity to give people a second shot!”

Brooke’s picks for returning to the ballroom include Giles Marini, Sabrina Ryan, Carson Kressley, and a most recent favorite, Maria Menounous.

We spoke to Brooke at the launch for “A Reason to Smile,” a partnership she is involved in with Dreyers Slow Churned Light Ice Cream that gives away ice cream scoops in return for smiles, which will raise money to gift surgeries to children in need.

With summer around the corner, we also got an exclusive look at how Brooke maintains that perfect bikini body! Here are Brooke’s top three tips for staying in shape:

• “It’s all about staying conscious and being smart. I don’t believe in all of the fad diets. I never starve myself.”
• “I think it’s about…working out. I do it as much for my head as I do it for my body. It’s sort of like my stress reliever and its my ‘me’ time.”

Jamie Chung was looking chic in all black while attending the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival and American Express LA Reception on March 19 in Beverly Hills. The Hangover 2 star posed for the cameras in a GUESS by Marciano dress, featuring diamond-shaped cutouts along the neckline.

Completing the sophisticated look with black peep-toe pumps and a tied-back hairstyle, Jamie managed to show off the frock’s cutout details — and a bit of skin as well.
