Ashlee Simpson, 28, and Pete Wentz, 33, threw a lively superhero themed birthday bash for son Bronx Wentz, 4, who look thrilled to be celebrating with the family!

Ashlee and Bronx look so alike with those adorable grins! Bronx looked so happy about his birthday party — lucky kid!

Nicole Richie attended the party with her daughter Harlow who dressed as Disney Princess Merida from Brave. Ashlee’s separated parents Tina and Joe Simpson also stopped by, but Joe tried to hide from pics under a hoodie!

Ashlee’s sis Jessica was absent — she’s currently busy promoting her successful fashion line and losing her baby weight!

The rocker, 32, and Bronx‘s mom Ashlee Simpson split in February, but have been keeping it friendly for the sake of their son, who looks to be doing well!

Ashlee is reportedly dating Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza while Pete has been living the single life — until now!

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation raised more than $1 million dollars yesterday, at its 22nd Annual “A Time For Heroes Celebrity Picnic” sponsored by Disney. Stars like Ashlee Simpson, Ashley Tisdale, Bella Thorne and Denise Richards were having a great time playing games while helping the charity raise money. Ashlee even brought Bronx and played with him between chats with fans!

Although it was a picnic with games and music catered towards children, the adult celebs were having a blast and participating in numerous activities, often with their children! Ashlee was having a ball at the arts and crafts table with her son Bronx, who also played with race cars at the Disney’s CARS 2 Raceway. Ashlee found time in between smiling and signing pictures for her fans to spend some quality time with her main man, Bronx. What a cute mother and son outing! Ashlee was so popular with the fans, they lined up to take pictures with the actress. Eventually security was called over but Ashlee kept smiling and snapping pics while also keeping an eye on her blond curly-haired boy.

Disney stars were everywhere at the event including, Ashley Tisdale working the Imbee station and Nicole Anderson who worked the bean bag toss. Nicole took pics with her fans but turned into a fan herself when speaking with former True Blood actress Ashley Jones, who sported TOMS sunglasses, supporting yet another cause that will help save one person’s eyesight with every pair purchased.

Another True Blood actor, Joe Manganiello , helped out at the 77 Kids American Eagle Denim Decorating booth with his fiancée. Denise Richards brought her girls with her to paint denim! Chad Michael Murray was spotted volunteering at the rock-climbing wall alongside his fiancée. He was super friendly to all his fans big and small, taking photos while guiding them over to the rock wall.

At the food tents we saw Chuck actor Zachary Levi dancing along to the African music that was being performed on stage. Bella Thorne ran around with her girlfriends in a brightly-colored outfit. The whole day really was an energetic affair as people worked towards an amazing cause!

$15 prevents a mother from giving her child AIDS, and yesterday these celebrities raised $1.1 million! How incredible!

It appears that Jessica is taking a style tip from Lady Gaga as she ditches her pants heading in for a photo shoot in LA!

Jessica Simpson seems to have done some major shedding for her upcoming wedding, and is happily showing off the results! Jessica showed up for a photo shoot May 7 alonside sis Ashlee Simpson wearing chunky blue heels, a green sweater and a pair of denim shorts so tiny she actually seemed to be pantless. Looks like Jessica has recently been inspired by Lady Gaga!

Also stopping by the shoot were Jessica’s fiance Eric Johnson as well as Ashlee’s son Bronx. Jessica and Eric are set to tie the knot later this year, though a date has not been set.

A source close to Pete says the rock star is ‘ready to be happy again’ — without Ashlee!

At first Pete Wentz was devastated that his wife Ashlee Simpson filed for divorce. But now the 31-year-old Fall Out Boy is getting tired of sitting around while his soon-to-be ex-wife parades around town with his former friend, rocker Craig Owens, 26. In the midst of a custody battle with Ashlee, 26, over their 2-year-old son Bronx, Pete has decided to move on and start dating again!

“Pete is picking up the pieces, and he is not going to be depressed about Ashlee dumping him,” a source tells In Touch magazine.

He actually sees Ashley’s recent action as reason enough to start enjoying his new single life. “It will make dating and hooking up with a new girl much easier,” Pete has been telling his pals. “I will feel guilt-free.”

Pete’s focusing more on work now that satisfying Ashlee’s every whim is no longer an obligation he must consider. “Pete is planning on working overtime with his band, the Black Cards, and making them a huge success,” says the source. “Now that he’s not with Ashlee, he can make his career a priority — not worrying about her jealousy.”

“He’s ready to be happy,” the source affirms!

An insider tells HollyBaby.com that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s custody arrangement is going to be a difficult one to settle.

We thought soon-to-be divorced stars Ashlee Simpson, 26, and Pete Wentz, 31, would come to a nice custody agreement over their 2-year-old son Bronx and be done with it, but a source tells us that’s not the case.

The exes have a lot of emotion tied to their bitter break-up and Ashlee is dead set on getting primary custody of Bronx, while Pete wants joint physical and legal guardianship.

“They are going to fight much more in my opinion,” the insider tells HollyBaby.com. “This is brewing into a battle and its going to get nasty. Ashlee really seems hardcore about the custody of her child, this will be messy.”

Uh, oh! We might have another Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry-esque war on our hands!
