Kim Kardashian‘s best friend Brittny Gastineau is getting ready to uproot her life in LA and move back to her hometown of NYC.

“I miss living in NYC and have been looking for the perfect apartment for a while,” Brittny, 28, tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “There is no place like home and my mom and I are working on plans to open our first Tres Glam Jewelry boutique in New York City.”

Brittny might have already found a new pad. “I found an amazing apartment at 480 Central Park West and the views of the park are gorgeous,” she shares with us. “My friend who is starring in a show on Broadway is going to make an offer on a condo in the building and referred me to her real estate agency and they hooked me up big time.

But Brittny will still hold on to her LA place. “I can still keep my place in LA and have a second home in NYC,” she says. “Some friends of mine are flying in with me from LA in a few weeks to look at the building as well.

“I can’t wait to be back in NYC,” she gushes.

Kim Kardashian might have lost a husband but she’s re-gained a best friend. HollywoodLife.com has spoken to a source close to these Hollywood BFFs, and we can confirm that Kim and Brittny Gastineau are definitely back to being friends and we know how it all went down!

“Kim was really feeling alone during the divorce,” a source tells us. “She regretted cutting her friends out of her life, especially Brittny. Kim called Brittny on the phone and told her she wanted to be friends again and apologized for everything. Brittny was really hurt since she never liked Kris in the first place but forgave Kim.”

We’re so glad that Kim is starting to get back to her old self!

Shortly after Kim Kardashian, 31, tied the knot with Kris Humphries, 26, she stopped returning her best friend Brittny Gastineau‘s calls, RadarOnline.com reports.

“Brittny was very concerned about Kim’s decision to jump into this marriage, and she expressed that to her, in a very loving way,”  a source tells RadarOnline.com. “It didn’t seem to bother Kim at the time, which was around the time the engagement was announced. Maybe Kim felt like a fool, and perhaps she should have listened to Brittny. Brittny isn’t the ‘I told you so’ type. She is very hurt that Kim has frozen her out of her life right now.”

And at Brittny’s 28th birthday bash she made it very clear she was not speaking to Kim. “When everyone got to Brittny’s dinner she announced that she ‘wasn’t going to talk about Kim so don’t bother asking,” New York Daily News reported.

Kim and Brittny have been well-known BFFs for years — Brittny even caught the bouquet at Kim’s wedding! We wonder why Kim supposedly started distancing herself! Was it because she was embarrassed about her 72-day long marriage?

Although the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce a mere month ago from Russell—who committed suicide yesterday—following a series of very-public falling-outs, she still loved him, family friend Lisa Gastineau tells HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive interview.

“Taylor might not have liked him recently, but she still loved him,” says longtime friend Lisa, who had spent every Thanksgiving with Taylor and Russell since she and her daughter Brittny moved to Los Angeles. “Taylor genuinely cared for him. Despite the fighting, they cared for each other. Their relationship was fragile, but Taylor was his love. They kind of balanced each other. For some reason it worked. And there was genuine love there.”

Lisa last saw Russell and Taylor together about two months ago, and they seemed perfectly fine. “I saw them at [Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star] Adrienne Maloof‘s house, about seven to eight weeks ago,” Lisa remembers. “They were filming a benefit at Adrienne’s. They hadn’t split yet, and everything seemed like it was OK. All of the Housewives were there, but since we weren’t being filmed, him and I were just hanging around, talking to each other. He was in good spirits, we were having drinks.”

But that would soon change: Just weeks later, on July 15, Taylor filed for divorce. “She really wanted it to work out, but things had gotten so bad,” says Lisa. “I saw Taylor right when they split. She was accepting of it. She had resolved that she was going to get through this.”

For distraught Lisa, who says she “couldn’t believe it” when her friend Jill Zarin of the Real Housewives of New York called her Tuesday morning and broke the news, she’d rather remember how her friends were at Adrienne’s. “I just want to think of them how they were eight weeks ago.”

While Russell was supportive of his wife’s endevours, Lisa says the stress of being under the reality TV microscope did wear on Russell—specifically his lack of privacy when it came to his business and personal affairs. “I think there was so much outside pressure on him, and being on the show, there was so much scrutiny,” Lisa tells HollywoodLife.com. “I know he was going through hell, because there had been so much scrutiny, because he was so on the radar. I don’t think Russell could handle the scrutiny on him and Taylor, the finances, his reputation. It was all too much.”

She adds, “I don’t think he could handle the scrutiny of his business dealings and the financial hardships, and the dissolution of his marriage. Some people thrive on it.”

But Russell, says Lisa, was happier focusing on his family. “He was happy to have you in his home,” Lisa says. “He always made me feel welcome in his home. Thanksgiving would include southern fried turkey. His mom and kids would be there. He was very southern.  He wanted to take care of his family.”

Kim Kardashian doesn’t like to play by the rules, and she did her best to upset tradition by ditching her own July 23 Las Vegas bacherlorette party to surprise her fiancé Kris Humphries!

Kim, 30, started the night out at Tao, where her sister Khloé threw her a semi-traditional bash, PEOPLE reports. It involved bachelorette staples such as a sash, tiara, novelty cake and a stripper — although said stripper was a little person and totally took Kim off-guard!

Kim was joined by her sister Kourtney, her mom Kris and friends such as Brittny Gastineau and LaLa Vasquez Anthony.

“My sisters are doing everything they can to embarrass me,” Kim told her guests — but she had a great time!

Meanwhile, Kris, 26, enjoyed a bachelor party across town at Lavo with guests including Kim’s brother Rob, Khloé’s man Lamar Odom and some of his NBA teammates. Although he had fun drinking and singing with his buddies, Kris was totally surprised when Kim showed up around 2 a.m.! But Kris totally didn’t mind, parading his love for Kim for the few minutes she was there with her girlfriends.

While we were all surprised that Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries got engaged after a mere six months of dating, her nearest and dearest knew it was coming all along!

HollywoodLife got the pleasure of catching up with jewelry designer, model and original E! reality show princess (Gastineau Girls, anyone?), Brittny Gastineau on set at Fuse’s 100 Sexiest Videos of All Time Countdown. In light of Kim’s big announcement, we had to ask what BFF Brittny thought about it! Apparently, the second she heard from Kim, she knew what was up!

She told us, “She called me on the phone soon after. She goes, ‘I have something to tell you,’ and I didn’t even let her finish. I said, ‘I already know.’ She goes, ‘What?!’” It’s true — sometimes, your friends know you better than you know yourself! And although she wasn’t totally blindsided by the news, that doesn’t mean she’s any less excited for the big day.

Don’t expect a good friend like Brittny to pick up some crystal glasses or a gravy boat that’s on the registry! She says her gift will come from the heart, and it’ll be way more personal. Of course, she also can’t wait to see the dress. “I’m most excited for the dress, it’s something we’ve talked about forever, and she’s my best friend!” Though the glitz and glamour of the star-studded wedding will surely be memorable, Brittny’s most looking forward to the overall event, and being there with some of her best friends.

While she has very eclectic tastes and lists Led Zeppelin as her favorite band, she says she loves to rock out to great dance music by Beyonce, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Katy Perry! Kim knows what dress she wants and who she wants to design her ring! Plus, she’s ready to have kids! Is she about to become Mrs. Kim Humphries?

Kim Kardashian is so ready to get married to her NBA player beau Kris Humphries that she’s already planning the wedding! “I’ve envisioned the whole thing,” Kim tells Life & Style magazine. “I can’t wait to get married.”

Kim already knows which dress she wants. “I’ve found my wedding dress — I mean, I already know what my gown is going to look like,” she admits. “I’ve thought about it all for so long. What woman hasn’t thought about her wedding since she was a little girl?”

She may fly to Paris to get a Chanel couture gown, says a friend of Kim’s. “She wants a white strapless floor-length gown that’s traditional but sexy and makes her feel like a princess,” notes the friend, who adds “Kim would never make this decision without her mom and sisters by her side.”

And Kris better be getting the engagement ring from jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz. “I want Lorraine to design me a big diamond ring,” Kim was over heard telling her friend Brittny Gastineau April 10 while getting her nails done at Beverly Hills Nail Design.

“Her idol is Elizabeth Taylor, who was a good friend of Lorraine’s, so she wants to take inspiration from one of Elizabeth’s prized possessions: her famous cushion-cut Krupp diamond,” a source explains. Plus, “Kim’s been talking to Lorraine about it a lot lately.”

Kim is so serious about starting her life with Kris that she’s reportedly even shopping for a home in NYC so that she can be closer to her man.

“It’s the next normal step,” Kim tells Us magazine. “LA will always be my home, but it’s about time I look in New York too.”

Kim is also ready to make Kris her baby daddy! “I think I’ll name my kids with K’s to keep the tradition going,” she tells L&S. And a friend adds that they will name their first son Kristopher Jr.

“I want a big family — three to five kids,” Kim says.

But she does want to have girls so that her kids can grow up the way Kim did with her sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. And if she got pregnant even before she got married, that would be fine.

“They’d be OK with Kim getting pregnant now,” explains the friend. “But they’re very traditional and would rather wait until after they’re married.”

Despite being linked to Chloë Sevigny and Brittny Gastineau, DJ Pauly D says he is ready to find a new girl!

The Jersey Shore star, who spoke with HollywoodLife.com at the launch of LittleBigPlanet 2 for PlayStation 3 in New York City yesterday, “I’m single. I’m on the market and looking.”

Speculation about Pauly’s lady friends has run rampant since he was spotted at a Jan. 4 New York Knicks game sitting alongside Chloë Sevigny, looking rather cozy with the actress. But Pauly squashed any dating rumors, saying, “I just went to a Knicks game and she was there. She’s a really cool girl, but we’re not dating.”

His denial comes hot on the heels of a far more colorful denial from Chloë herself, who told Interview, “That would be hilarious. That would be the weirdest couple in the world. It would be like the apocalypse.”

Other rumors have pegged him with socialite Brittny Gastineau, but Pauly was similarly dismissive of that relationship, saying, “She’s a cool girl, but we’re not dating.”
